OK, I'm on Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 2... I have the AMD Athlon XP 2400+. I have full memory (1024MB). But my graphics card is a GeForce FX 5200, which is only AGP 4X. If I could guess I would say that it's my graphics card that is causing the problem.
It sometimes happens when i'm in a "laggy situation" , like when i'm in the middle of a fight, when i accept a mission, or when i am near a hardline with a lot of other people and i start to walk.
So you think it would be my graphics card that is the problem? (Incase it is I have a good one picked out in advance :smileywink: )

When you start the game bring up your game options menu. In the first tab at the bottom will tell you what your game graghics is set to. The first block where is says highest framerate is the lowest setting, second block is the middle setting, and the third block is the highest setting. When I had a GeForce 5700 the game would crash often on the lowest setting. There was no way I could play the game with the highest setting. That being said it sounds like your card, but you should be able to troubleshoot by changing the settings and seeing what happens.
The Radeon X800 Pro should do great things for this game, but just so you know. You don't have to spend that much money. The X700 works just fine. Also make sure your motherboard will support AGP X8, or you will be waisting your money.
