SOE's attitude towards its customers is like a young man's attitude to medicine.  Ignore problems until they go away. 

Do we need to break out the "deleting posts does not make them go away" sigs?

Or in the case of SOE, deleted.

This is probably Virrago.  I think everyone who was a volunteer mod has left the game, or stepped down.

All we want is an official statement from someone at mxo or soe. That is not alot to ask for.

 I find it hard to believe that they (SOE) deleted this previous thread. This has gone from just ignoring us (which I can live with) to something far worse. So, let me just try to wrap my head around this. Someone with the power to delete forum threads took the time to read the entire thread (or at least part of it), thought "hmm, these people are obviously just confused about the future of the game and frustrated that we're not saying anything" and instead of saying something, anything just deleted this thread? Man the old addage rings true here.

Because they're not saying anything let me put on my speculator hat and say what I think they would.

Hey guys, I got some not great news. MXO subs are down, we just don't have the budget to give MXO the attention it needs. Don't worry that much though, MXO is a valued part of the station pass so the forums and the servers are not closing down. We'll try to give you one last big update, something that could put the story into the players hands but I can't make any promises we just don't have the money.

1/1/10 MXO servers are closing because we hate you jerks. Sub eq1 or eq2. plus we have the agency, play that. we hate this game and all the people that play it. We gave rarebit wedgies every day till he quit. we hated that guy because he liked this game. You all suck.

That's probably not the case, but I just want to hear something.

 One more thing, If you're reading this and you have the power to delete forum threads, just say something. We just want to know what's going to happen to our little community. is that really so much to ask?

If they say the truth, which is most likely that SOE will no longer invest in MxO, then they will lose everyone.  No one will re-sub.  That's my take on the silence, anyway.

No he didn't, he had nothing to do with it.  Another poster got ballistic and hysterically nasty (toward anyone who said anything less than positive about SOE, by the way), and the thread gut really ugly and I suspect that had something to do with the original thread's death.  Nor has Shearman (the OP) said anything outrageous or untoward.   

That poster would be me. My "ballistic, hysterically nasty" comments were aimed at Villemar and his alter-ego spikerbiker. It had nothing to do with the OP or the topic. Let's also be clear on one thing. I may have been vehement, but I didn't resort to calling names. That was them. Maybe this time the thread will stay on topic instead of ppl calling for the game to be unplugged and/or refusing to recognize that there are some ppl here who still enjoy this game for what it is. If not, Virrago WILL close this thread again come Monday.  Peace.

Actually the entire point of the thread that was locked was to stir up trouble by openly attacking Virrago.... which coincidentally is against the forum rules. Secondly if you check the rules, petitioning is also against the forum rules. It wasn't just the comments made but the entire nature of the thread was against the forum rules from the get go it was nothing to do with the content of the thread, just how that content was put across.

Nothing good comes from getting angry and unfortunately the couple of new (or old) people that have suddenly popped up on the forum are trying to put their views across.

also as a side note and not as an accusation. If you're going to post something don't hide behind a faccade. Show your balls and post it yourself. Appologies if this is untrue however there are at least 2 new people that are very active about putting views across that feel like they have been buildt up for years.
