Folding@home is an application that was put out on March 22, 2007 for the PS3 in its 1.60 update, as well as being available on for Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX operating systems. Its a program that when running, connects the Computer or PS3 to the Stanford University's (Pande Group) network and then uses the computing power to simulate the folding of proteins along with other molecular dynamics simulations. (Wiki link). There is also a leaderboard within it, where teams of people fold to being the number one contributing team. A link to download Folding@Home for Windows, Linux, or Mac OSX can be found here. Rarebit has started Team MxO (56853), which is nearing the 450th position.

I just got a phone call from the courier guy that my PS3 is coming today! So I'll be one of the first people to have it in Spain (non importated, at least) I'll (try to) join rarebit's mxo team so we can together fold the rules of the... proteins!
