How about a nice end of the fight fanservice shot for gunman types where they pop up their gun and blow the smoke off the barrel. That would be cool as heck and relatively easy to program I'd imagine--plus unlike a lot of the emotes out there that are really fairly odd and obscure and don't get used much--this one would probably never get old.

Just a quick thought.

I actually sent a question over to the developers in the "Ask the Devs" page cause I really have no idea what kinds of things are open to add or change, and what suggestions are just impractical.

I'm increasingly of the opinion that the kneejerk response to any idea is that it's impractical and that the devs can't do it. I mean what's the point of having a feedback section dedicated just to animations if there's nothing that can be done with animations because there's no animator.

That just confuses the heck outta' me.

I agree. If they can't change anything what's the point in giving feedback? A blowing smoke off a gun emote would be awesome!

lol, I'd totally love something like this. I can see it now... SniperWolf shoots up Mara then blows the smoke off her Clamors! Ya!

although we can't make completely new animations, we do have the facilities to make alterations to current animations, for example, the gunman grab tactic is broken in an animation sense and needs fixing so any posts on that would need to go here.

Although they're not actual guns, you can do /bang at someone and your hand will do a *bang bang* motion and then smok'em off. You can do /bangbang and mimic the Neo dodge in the first movie with another person.

you pretty much answered your own question. for the most part, the feedback / development section is completely pointless. what's really stupid was leaving the thing on the forum at all, after all the dev resources went spinning down the toilet. they should just remove the section and be done with it, or put up a sticky knocking back 90% + of any and all suggestions that will ever be made, ever.

not great, but thats the way it is.

I know some of you do hate the fact that we have lack of resources but we do have reasons for sections like this.

I guess the only thing I wonder is why is this broken into its own feedback section?  If nothing new has been added for this long than what is there left to troubleshoot?   And if there are no plans to have a animation team and most ani's wont work to recycle for new ani's than what is the real value? The only thing that this section seems to be good for is to allow people to have good ideas that will never materialize.

It is true at the minute this forum section is pointless, nothing wrong with pointing out these new emotes, even if they don't get used.  It wasn't long ago that the animator was broke, so its only recently that this section has actually been out of use.

I'd prefer to see an end to the clothes stacking sploit, than see a gun smoke emote myself.

All they need to do is have your current weapons toggle in or out of your hands with an emote.
Something like /weapon

Then, you can use /bang for the smoke-blowing animation, /bangbang for bullet time, /point for all kinds of things...

RP interaction would be greatly enhanced by such a thing, since at the moment, you can't even threaten someone with a gun properly (without shooting them. SMILEY<img src=" /> )

PS> I hate to point this out, but WoW allows you to draw or sheath your weapons with the "Z" key. Surely we can create a slash command (or even a keybinding) that does this.
