I think you can look at it like this, Procurator. Something that is intriguing and doesn't give enough details so that the plot can be built around it.My best guess is these are cinematic replacements. And Proc, could operative Procurator have seen what happened in the other cinematics? (was any of us there? nah.)
I'm surprised no ones theorized the location being "The Source".
(Is no one else reminded of "Beyond"?)
I think you guys are reading too much into this. The Architect met Carlyne in a secure room (might be the Source, but I doubt it) to ask him to help reinstate the Oracle program.
That's why the Architect is concerned with the Human reaction. Because he doesn't understand it; only the Oracle can do that.
But he brushes Carlyne off as if he owns him. Is it possible that the Intruders were/are just another attempt at controlling what can't be controlled?
I hoped that he would love me, And he has kissed my mouth, But I am like a stricken bird That cannot reach the south. For though I know he loves me, To-night my heart is sad; His kiss was not so wonderful As all the dreams I had.

That was probably the most confusing necro I've ever seen.
