Operatives,

The Merovingian's imitation cheat codes have been destroyed as the result of a multi-pronged assault arranged by liaison officer Vogt.

Intelligence revealed three data centers being used to coordinate sub-processes involved in the Merovingian's illicit code manufacturing scheme. Three small teams of operatives, led by Verinous, Zudrag, and Diablito, established themselves outside the data centers, attacking simultaneously on a signal from Mr. Vogt. Thanks to the complete surprise of the stealth attack, the Exile programs guarding the centers were swiftly eliminated, and the hacker on each team stopped the data center from transmitting further processing results back to the main hub. Signal traces to the main hub from the three data centers were compared, resulting in a trace that circumvented network firewalls and identified the true location of the hub, in north Pillsen.

Operatives quickly proceeded to the scene. A team led by operative Beachhead was tasked with inserting a Hellspawn virus into the Merovingian network; the hacker B3AR carried the virus. Operatives deleted the Merovingian security programs at the site and reached the control center, where they found the Merovingian controller, Flood, overseeing operations.

Flood refused to surrender, and summoned Merovingian operatives to his rescue. He then activated a pulse device that triggered the automatic hostile subroutines of all operatives in the area, and fled in the resulting disorder.

Regardless, the Hellspawn virus was inserted into the Merovingian system, destroying the code base and custom compilation routines that the Merovingian had been using to manufacture his own version of Anome's cheat codes. Furthermore, we have applied a patch to the simulation runtime that renders any future compilation of these contraband codes impossible. They will no longer pose a threat to the stability of the System.

Efficiently,

Agent Gray

Coming after us instead of the true threat, Anome...  There will be Retribution!

The Merovingian should take this display into account. His days of tranquil control over improper and illegal activities are waning, and his petty attempts at gaining more power shall be thwarted.

Gray is correct: Vogt's command in this operation was of dire importance. Never have I seen such a host of our number with such strength and precision. After returning to full service under the Machines, this sight was incredibly welcomed. Excellent work, fellow Machinists. A nod of gratification also go to some of the professional Cypherite soldiers that accompanied us... That is all.

I've officially lost faith in the Merovingian cause.

It's because of how it was set up.  I remember a few months back when it was just the opposite.

Machine Event gathers up a ton of machines over time as people log in they join thier fellow machines.  Making a nice group.  During this time most of the mervs can't tell anything is going on and don't stay jacked in for long.  Flood calls for help because of the terrible guards and the help is weak because no one is on.  I just want to know if the devs had to summon 10+ level 255npcs to help out the mervs?

Good work everyone.  I was stuck in the real on other business, but I had no fear that we would triumph.

The lack of forsight shown by the machines is nothing short of staggering, time and again they fail to recognise real threats and pursue a blinkered vendetta against the Merovingian. A failure to identify their own evolved form simply labels them ever more urgently for extinction. The Matrix is not safe in their hands and ironically they, more than anyone, will suffer as a result.

ooc *sigh*
