Everything goes well until I try to "Jack into the Matrix". At this point the game hangs on the negotiating servers screen and the progresion bar does not move. The software is not showing as unresponsive in task manager.Any Ideas?

myne is exactly the same only i have lost my buddy list and i cant talk to anyone

I am not a longtime player of Mxo.. but every F***ing time i want to play.. something doesnt work.
i am just about ready to cancell my subscription and find an MMO game that is stable enought for player to loggin without having there fingers crossed hoping the devs havnt got board and decided to mess everyone around.. the very least they could do is post a topic saying 'between the hours of xx.xx and xx.xx we will be ripping people off by forbidding them from playing a game that there paying a subscription for.

i know some people will probably flame me below.. and say the devs are trying to improve the gaming experience etc etc..

and i aint saying they aint.. but a little more communication would be good so people dont go thru the trouble of reformatting there machine cos they think the game freezing is a virus messing up there graphics card..

and i have hardly had any hardcore Mxo at all this month due to family issues.. and the first chance i get to play it i discover something has gone screwwy with the survers.

p.s i am not tryin to insult the devs i am simply conveying my feelings.. and no offence is ment.

You will want to make certain that you have re-allowed Matrix.exe and Launcher.exe through your firewall for full access tot he internet. You will also want to try turning off the firewall's real-time virus scanner. If the virus scanner can't be completely unloaded, you may want to try Microsoft's clean boot procedure before logging in again.

If your user profile is corrupted somewhere, you may experience problems like this as well. Try going into your MxO directory (usually My Computer->C Drive->Program Files->Monolith Productions->The Matrix Online) and then right-click on your Profiles folder. Rename this folder to Profiles1. Close the window, and log in. You will lose your map settings and user interface modifications, but may be able to get int he game. To get some or all of these settings back, phi here on the boards can chip in and tell you what files to pull out from the Profiles1 folder.
