My friends,

This was something that was stated that we would be starting a while ago, yet due to one issue or other hasn't been done until now.

What will happen is that an email will be encrypted with a passkey. Without this you will not be able to read the message.

The passkey will only be sent out to ranking officers (Captains and faction Leaders) and it will then be up to them to inform their crew members.

We will be using this location as our decoder/encryption source for the time being.

As part of this, I will require updated information on all ranking EPN officers who are currently on vector instance. This will be through the individual giving their name and then cross-checking this with a list I will require off the faction leader(s).

Equally, I will require lists of all current operatives to send the emails out to generally (there seems to have been a few operatives changing to different Organisations recently).

Thanks for your time,

Khepril

HOW TO USE THE LINKED PROGRAM ABOVE

As we're currently going to be using this external source as a means of encrypting and decrypting messages, I thought I've give a quick basic guide to how this works. A key point with this is that you never have to click a button to start encrypting/decrypting. Once you set it up, the program will do it in real time for you.

Fast, easy and secure... I hope.

1. Encrypting

When you load up that location, you'll find that it is already set for encrypting a message. For this example we will say our message is from many one - E Pluribus Neo

The first thing you do is to write in your passphrase. This allows you to very quickly secure the message and means that when someone tries to decrypt it (see below) you will have to give them that phrase (can be a single word or an actual phrase). For this example, our passphrase will be Morpheus.

So, you write Morpheus into the location marked passphrase and from many one - E Pluribus Neo into the area marked Your Message.

What you'll see is that where before there was a message in a gray box saying "Type in a message and see the results here!" as soon as you enter in the details, this will come up:

rffb tehq tes - Q Blhpwoyw Cpi

Now, that is your message from many one - E Pluribus Neo secured, using the passphrase, Morpheus

The only way you can figure out (easily anyway) what it says is if you give out your passphrase to whoever you want to read the message there.

2.Decrypting

This works pretty much exactly the same way, just in reverse.

First, you will need to change the program from encrypt to decrypt from the small drop down menu.

Then you enter whatever the passphrase is that you have been given for your message, in this example Morpheus.

You then put the message you want to decrypt into the "Your message" section, in this example:

rffb tehq tes - Q Blhpwoyw Cpi

What you'll see is that where before there was a message in a gray box saying "Type in a message and see the results here!" as soon as you enter in the details, this will come up:

from many one - E Pluribus Neo

Hope that helps you all if you've been having any issues with this.
