The answer about the abilities was last said in this threadhttp://mxoboards.station.sony.com/matrix/board/message?board.id=CR20Abil&message.id=776
Now if they have done it in Live yet is another story

Adad- Vector-hostile
After patching the game with CR2.0 today, my character disappeared and was not selectable or visible to jack in. I called support and talked to them online and was told to /ccr the ingame support crew by creating a new character. While I created a new one, I put my name as Adad again to test if my name was taken, proving my character still existed, but it went through and made that my new character's name. After explaining the situation on /ccr, they told me the new character overwrote my old one, therefore they cannot copy it.
I am writing to see how I can get an XP grant to level back up to maxed lvl 50 as that is where I was. I understand you'd need proof. I'm sure I have screenshots as well as over 30 people who would attest to the fact as I am part of the Furious Angels and they know I reached 50 this past weekend. ALSO, my QA server character is level 50, so what will it take to get that XP back or my character as a whole?? I don't have it in me to grind through missions to level all the way there again as it took me a year to get there the first time.
Please help me and let me know what I can do. If there's anyway to prove I deserve the xp, let me know. I didn't delete the character, so this is not my fault... I need my level back, please. Thank you for your time.

I personnally dont like how the changes are with the clothes and abilities... i do like the combat 2.0 and the extra hot bar those are very usefull. I would like it to go back to the way it was
Worst update ever. I consider myself the biggest Matrix fan in the world, and I have been a player in MxO since the original beta testing. But I will leave will great haste if the changes in Update 42 remain. Combat Revision 2.0 isn't bad; it actually is very similar to the combat style for the tabletop RPG I wrote for The Matrix. However, it has one major flaw: players cannot easily track the action in terms of rounds.
The rest of Update 42 is awful and has ruined a perfectly good game. Having two hotbars clutters up the screen; turning tertiary abilities into primary abilities that must be activated and are on timers, and primary abilities into timed primary abilities, makes those abilities far less useful, and it makes the game more difficult to play because players have to keep track of all of those things. Worst of all, players must now select only one "class" to be active at any one time, instead of reaping successive benefits from the entire path along the ability tree. And as if all of that wasn't bad enough, many special attacks have been significantly weakened by requiring that targets be in certain "states" that were not previously required and that are nearly impossible to inflict. For example, many aikido abilities now require opponents to be off-balance, but it is nearly impossible to off-balance opponents. That makes aikido worthless. So I ask you, why would I (or anyone else) want to continue playing this game?

The title upgrades do not "select" the class you are using, rather they give you additional (and strenghtened by influences) bonuses.Let's see this case: You have enough memory space to load, along with Aikido, virologist. you can then activate virologist buff. you will always keeping using aikido style, you are just using a title Upgrade you don't really need And as if all of that wasn't bad enough, many special attacks have been significantly weakened by requiring that targets be in certain "states" that were not previously required and that are nearly impossible to inflict. That makes aikido worthless. That abilities now do a very high damage atm. you can hardly cause states in interlock, but a martial attacking from outside can cause them with incredible frequency: it is a way to make two martial artists efforts to "stack", when fighting a single, stronger opponent. So I ask you, why would I (or anyone else) want to continue playing this game?

The reality is somewhere in between fanboi "OMG I <3 CR2 OMGOMGOMG I <3 you devs I can't wait I luv you SOE" posts like we typically see here in Broadcast Depth and "Worst....update.....ever" posts. We are stuck with it and have to adapt.
What I don't like is that we are really gypped moneywise. Unless you had 40-50 million (for a level 50) coming into this. Why should we be forced to sell off trees? What if we want to keep our trees? We have to level from 1-50 all those new Awakened abilities and all the old ones with the caps removed (ie. Sneak, Combat Toughness, Code Writing) now all go up to 50.
So I say we get a million per level per character. Or just give us all 50 million if that's too complicated. It's only fair. This is your baby and thats the easiest and quickest way to solve the problem without complicated hotfixes and forcing us to sell trees, which is totally unfair.
I'd say give the game three more months and we'd better see these issues resolved most ricky-tick and we better start getting a lot more content. This was your baby now you gotta get it to walk ASAP. The very survival of this game depends upon it.
I hate to be hard on the devs cause a lot of them work amazingly hard but guys you're going to be just as busy if not busier between fixes & content over the next few months; I hate to say. :smileysad:
