The greatest good for the greatest number of people.

Yes, the death of Mr. Manohar was regrettable, the saving of many more is far from it. Operatives worked very well as a team and you should be proud of yourselves for your accuracy and efficiency. This does not mean, however, that it will not be worked upon further; you can be sure of that.

As much as I hate to belittle human life, Osterlind has a point.

But to anyone who disagrees with that:

Killing for the greater good > Killing because political extremism

Killing in the name of the greater good.... How ironic.   Seems the machines are no better than us.  I do recall the contempt they held for Morpheus and what he was doing with the code bombs.  Are they any less barbaric than they claimed him to be?  Pace has become more bloodthirsty with each passing day.  The fact that she is able to perform her "duties" unchecked leads me to believe that the "system" deems these actions "necessary" for the "greater good" and therefore support murdering bluepills.  Pace your day will come.  I think that the suppression of your more "human" side will come back to bite you in the *CENSORED* later on down the line.  I smell a meltdown coming in the future.

Nice job protecting an innocent bluepill there Machinists.  I'm sure she says thats the only one she will order you to kill, but you know if they need more info I am sure more will be found expendable.  Good job...

((And *CENSORED* being put on ignore for being IC for the entire event... I think you're getting a little to happy with that ignore button Rare.))

Well Agent 'bury me in a Y shaped coffin' Pace manages to perpetrate a perfect example of the total contempt in which the Machines hold bluepills before the eyes of the loyal machine operatives, Cyphs take note of your 'efficient' partners and ....Mech ops please note there is no justification for any human to be working alongside this callous and ignorant Machines???

((The Mech org was the most convincing and defined organisation in MxO, while it did have a section of 'wannabe agents' valid rp'ers could evolve from the post Revolutions status pround and strong..... as far as I can tell via the early ludicrous situation with the Cyphs and Crytos through the broken truce to today every valid mech rp has been betrayed))

Yes the Machines used to be my second favorite org.  What a disgrace they've become.  All along....purveyors of the Big Lie.

- Overwriting redpills for the "greater good."

- Propagaing the myth of bluepill reinsertion for the "greater good."

- Keeping humans in pods, not for energy, but for other reasons.  For the "greater good."

- Murdering bluepills for the "greater good."

I just shake my head in disbelief.

That makes The Merovingian organization the only one where you know what's the ground you're standing, since the beginning. Even if the methods employed by The Frenchman are questionable, he has had the grace of not hiding his intentions at all.

It was a program.  They killed the bluepill.

Killing a bluepill who was going to be awakened... then replacing him...

Apparently this guy must have been attacking you, no wait he must have been a threat to every single bluepill out there. There is no denying what happened, you killed a human, in cold blood. Try your best to justify your actions, you just re-inforced what we believed about you anyway.

Pace and her lackeys, your liaisons, might try to claim this is for a greater good... most of you will just take their word for it. The same word of those who have been brainwashing humans and now killing them to use replacements. This all goes back to the one thing they ever want... control, nothing else matters. They are really taking advantage of choosing to end the truce with a stupid reason, now they can pull those puppet strings to get you to kill your own kind, welldone Gray, you got them... hook, line and sinker.

((I'm appalled. All of the Trustees there get put on ignore for being IN-CHARACTER and knowing about the event?! For God's sake, Rylet was there. The Trust, Rylet, Fallen Horizon, and plenty of other Zionites were there, as well as Mervs. And now we're just expected to pretend like we never saw anything because the storyline is too linear to allow a huge twist like someone from a different org stumbling upon a parade of 50+ machinists walking through Magog and going into a casino with a bluepill!))

((I've defended Rare and his decisions time and time again, but this is absurd.))

Time for some good quotes:

"Agent Pace:No, He did not have a tattoo."
"ReProgrammed: How do you know Pace....."
"Agent Pace: I scanned him of coarse."
"ReProgrammed:I see......Can you scan me?"
"ReProgrammed:I want to see if you can tell if I have a tattoo."
"Agent Pace: How do you know I have not already done so?"
"ReProgrammed:Um"
"ReProgrammed: I don't"
"ReProgrammed: But can you tell me if you have?"

"Agent Pace: Are you trying to impress me, Mr.Benson?"
"Skull086:heh"
"ReProgrammed: SOrry?"

(( Its getting to the point were a man can't take off a shirt and be declared flirting. ))

....(( not that I mind of coarse ^.^ ))

(( The Bluepill wasn't killed because he was a threat. It's a one-off operation to analyse Zion's extraction routines, or something. The most recent Mech critical mission follows directly on from this event, and the program in the ex-Bluepill's RSI does its job. They're continuing their goal of shutting down Zion operations and defenses, not killing Bluepills just so Zion can't get their hands on them. ))
