Hello, I have been trying to mess around with this picture of mine for some kind of Bluepill advertisement in photoshop and I cant seem to get the look I want. I am trying to make it look like a Television commercial screenshot or video, however, I just want the picture to have that television look. Plus I can't seem to give it the realistic look either. Anyone want to try to take a crack at it go ahead..

Ah thats what I am looking for. I was looking for a Tutorial for something like that, perhaps a bit brighter too, but I think that looks perfect. How do you do that?

He's the Chuck Norris of Photoshop. He just stares at the Picture and it will redo itself to his will.

Looks like a basic scan lines pattern with a bit of a noise overlay and some white 'interference'. Oh and a green colour balance.

I do remember doing something like this too.   Recovered from old files.

I had a little go for a Avatar just recently:

As I cant get it to look as good as the other examples I did it as a .gif, that way I could move the scanlines a little which makes it look much better than it did static.

Where do you get these looks and frames. Photoshop? If so what settings, curves, etc...

The green frame came from shots from Reloaded, in the Architect's monitoring room. You can create that in PS of course, but for what you're trying to do, it'll be a lot easier to just use a stock similar to this.

As for the scanlines and such, odj pretty much hit it on the head. Here is another discussion about the subject if it helps to show what's possible with it.
