We've been tracking some of Anome's people - Syntax - 6/6/06

We're still working around the clock to identify and track the people working with Anome. Our sniffers got wind of an access on a computer terminal that seemed to have been from some of his people.

Operatives investigated and encountered Hank Burbank, office worker, who told them that he had already secured the computer with a virus, since he was aware that someone was sneaking in to use it at night. But the infiltrators complained to the office technician about their new access problem, and the computer was taken in for repair.

Mr. Burbank gave operatives the address of the office technician, one Craig Damon. When they found him, Mr. Damon told the operatives that he was the recent victim of a raid, in which a marauding gang had made off with most of his equipment. He knew where the gang was holding their goods for shipment out of the neighborhood, however, and was able to lead the operatives there, where they found Exile boss Hardhat McCoy, who decided to give them some trouble over the recovery of the goods he'd stolen.

But this time McCoy had picked the wrong hardware to heist, and the operatives made short work of him and his gang.

Operatives recovered the computer in question from his stock of ill-gotten gains inside the building, and a scan by Mr. Damon recovered this heavily encrypted data, which we are currently working on decoding:

First a Pandora's Box NPC, now a Exile gang leader. I like the fact that the devs are using these characters. They're not just characters standing in one place, or mob NPCs with a different name than the rest of the gang. They're actual people from the Matrix universe's point of view.

Why doesn't erroneous event stuff like this happen on Vector? :smileyindifferent:

I mean, we had The Messenger and Pillsworth, but nothing as complicated as the stuff on Recursion or Syntax.

i think it would be hard to contuct something like this on vector with the whole hostility. After the dev party last night, i can see some people just cant sit down for five minuets and not fight. I'll try not to name names...

Indeed, that is not decoded, you have obviously put the binary above into a traslator, it would seem that the binary is rearranged into a different order, encryption would be far to basic to just use binary alone.

Can someone explain why the Choppers were hanging around with Hardhat?
According to Ghost the event took place in Lemone and the Crushers are
his gang (hence their showing up later on) but what are members of the
Chopper gang doing in the first few screenies- do they have any
connection with Hardhat? Or is this a glitch?
