I think Killie will be fine, they suffered the past couple of years because they lost Naismith and Boyd in consecutive seasons but they've got some new signings in this year and Combe has been in good form in goals.

I was listening to Clyde 1 when he did that. I was laughing my arse off.

At the end of the day, though. As Mike McCurry says 'We're Simply The Best'! SMILEY I love Scottish football.

Yas, i take it you play Football Manager?

Yah. Most played games would come down to MxO, Football Manager (and the earlier championship managers) and Pro Evolution Soccer. <3 FM.

Celtic thumped Livi tonight, hopefully we'll do the same to Partick tommorow.

Partick Thistel 1 - 2 Rangers. Both rangers goals were top class. But should have pounded this mod to a pulp. Never saw the entire game though.

*Sings the Kris Boyd song*

That goal was Van Basten like!

Good to see Spurs get off the mark with their first domestic win in 6months, against Newcastle. Pavlyuchenko got his first too so he'll hopefully go on a scoring spree. Also, Newcastle fans are far too expectant of their team. A big stadium and a mediocre amount of cash for a premiership team doesn't mean you should be challenging for the Premiership. All of the top 4 went through but Man City, and their Billions, were knocked out by Brighton!

Also woot, one of teams my season kicks off on Sunday in Glasgow... it's about time, a summer of boozing knocked me out my stride >_>

Apart from the two goals we did manage, the finishing was pure rubbish.  Darch looked way off the pace, Wee Nacho clearly couldny buy a goal last night and Boyd missed a couple of chances you'd put your mortgage on.  Thistle really deserved something more from their second half performance but in the end just werent strong enough to beat the Gers.  I will say something though.. it was an engrossing cup tie.  Thistle can walk away heads held high and Rangers really need to give their strikers a kick up the a*s!

Darcheville still has the work ethic he had last season but his finishing(see: missing from 1 yard out against Lyon), it wasn't good originally, has gotten worse and he seems to have put on even more weight. Boyd is the only natural goalscorer but does blow chances from time to time, Nacho has been erratic with his finishing since he had his debut 25 goal season for Rangers, he goes from the sublime to the shocking with some of his finishing(see: missing from 1 yard out against Liverpool) but he plays his heart out for the team too.

oh i agree with everything you said there Yas... just wish Boyd would spend more time chasing the ball rather than moaing to the first person he finds about this or that!  If he worked just that little bit harder he could be up there with the likes of Coisty! I know Coisty was kinda lazy too but when the ball can hit you and just go in who cares right?  Coisty worked harder than Boyd any day IMO!

Yeah, I agree. Boyd is a stone overweight. Sometimes he works hard but it's like 1 in every 4 games instead of every game. Coisty was definitely harder working.

I do enjoy this 'FIFA Scottish Football Season 08/09' thread.

Everyone knows the SPL doesn't count.  It's like 'The Bill', all the chewed up and spat out players go there when there's no other option.
