ok, been trying duelist for a couple hours yesterday.
 
1.  increase damage.  in interlock my speed attack is only doing about 180 dmg.  not enough.  dual pistol execution seems to be ok at 500 or so dmg, but the other one i'm able to land (arg at work whats the name) only does about 200.  very low for a special.
 
2. IS is actually ok on this one.  very nice
 
3. what the heck do i have to do to cause a 'state' on an opponent?  every duel, every npc battle, no status effects.  duels are all about landing special moves, and with the ones stated above vs an MA who can land wooden dummy drill for 1000+ dmg each duel, extreme falling kick several times for about 700 dmg etc...
guess who wins every time?
 
4. out of interlock: very low dmg.  150 boo.
 
this is all with my attributes giving ballistic bonuses maxed.  a big problem is that there are only about 4 items of clothing with ballistic dmg bonuses, and they are only 1-2% (torture gloves do give 4 i believe)
and to wear those clothes sacrafices the IS regen needed from the other clothing options.  there are a lot of items that give thrown damage bonuses, so what's up?

Its definately lower than say a Kung-Fu GM.  Dual Pistol Execution is the only ability that doesnt require a state that can do some good damage.  The others are weak.

Ive had the same problem.  You have to use your tactics to cause states.  If your using specials youll never get your opponent dazed,off-balance or staggered.

Handguns have low reuse timers so I think the damage amount is fine.

I have a jacket that gives 3% to ballistic accuracy.  Thats the highest ive seen in my code library and I have lots of clothing.
