Just dont delete the database! Who knows maybe it can be trotted out much farther down the road as a Legacy game or something.
I know you're not planning on it. But please, please at least consider it.
I can understand enforcing copyright laws upon free private servers of games that are active and presently generating revenue. That is reasonable. But for a game to simply vanish without a trace when there are people that would love to continue to experience the world isn't.
I beg you Raijinn, at least try.
EDIT: Villemar's right. DON'T DELETE ANYTHING.
FOR REAL COME ON let us have them sell them to us we WANT TO KEEP PLAYING

Folks, not to be a party pooper (whenever someone says that...they end up being a party pooper...) but there's a whole lot of copyrights so you probably won't see any code released. Sorry!
I've begun OPERATION_ARCHIVE
Any thing and everything MxO I can get my hands on I will be archiving (such as mission posts and player fanart etc...)
The aim is to make it available online once these forums go down.
Nelly Furtado says:
Honestly, what will become of me?I don't like realityIt's way too clear to meBut really life is dandyWe are what we don't seeWe miss everything daydreamingFlames to dustLovers to friendsWhy do all good things come to an end?
Additionally I will be taking epic pics of MxO as seen from my GTX 295.
What about releasing the forum database (minus any restricted posts which people like me can't see anyway)? I'd be more than willing to put the effort into converting it and putting it online as a static forum for the sake of posterity.
