Vector - Hostile : Org controlled clubs

Lets face it, majority of the clubs in this game get NO activity... and the ones on vector that do... end in a brawl with party crashers droping area attacks and ruining events that players spent time organizing.


Seeing that the clubs are completely vacant 90% of the time, why not give them purpose.

Solution?

Give each org clubs throughout the districts.

Place LVL 100 Npcs throughout the club. (The same type of LVL 100 sentry npcs that are at our bases in the constructs.) This could solve a lot of problems on Vector.

That way players can have places to conduct meetings with not nearly the attacks succeeding as they normally do. Parties wouldn't get crashed severely as they continue to do since hostile servers existance.

Org liasons can conduct meetings, Live event characters can appear, players can chill with their fellow org mates in a place together that everyone will now all while still keeping the realism of the matrix because reds can still attempt to attack but get pitted against sentries and opposing players.



It will add some espionage back into the game, force zions to leave mara for a change and by have org clubs in each district it lets players of all levels have a place of refuge.

That way Club hell can be open.... Zions can reinact the hell club shootout if they want SMILEY<img src=" width="15" height="15"> Meros can congregate in this famous iconic club.

Richland:

ZIONS - Club Sanguine

MACHINES - Club Avalon

MERO - Jacob's Ladder

(NOTE the richland clubs listed here would be near their org archive.)


Westview: This would be a good area for the splinter orgs due to the degrade in the code of the area, easier to hide, speaking from a storyline point of view.

CYPH - Club Daemon

EPN - The Lynch Pin

International:

ZIONS - Club Pandora

MACHINES - Club Masamune

MEROS - Club Jade

ZION - The Vault

MACHINES - Club Deus

MERO - Club Hel (of course!)

CYPH - Club Zeitgeist

EPN - Club Janus

The rest of the clubs would be left to the public.

This gives each main org 3 clubs total and 2 clubs for the splinter orgs. Part of the goal is to make bases out of the least popular clubs in some districts and leave the popular ones to the public.

the Downtown list is great because each org has a big club.

Vectorites show your support! This will also spread players from Mara central and the same ol Richland dumps and finally give vector clubs an ACTIVE PURPOSE!

Again, totally agree and much much needed!

 

If its too hard to implement simply have it so the pvp flags are taken down in clubs for vector, i dont play there myself but i can imagine how hard it must be to actually play in peace half the time. This idea would also encourage RP on vector, with a safe place to hang out and talk i think this would benefit the entire vector community.

I think this is a good idea but how would you work out clubs for all org's?? Like if some one wanted a server-wide party...


As for the guards... I personally have killed the guards in the constucts so its not impossible (along time ago not sure if i can anymore maybe they updated them)

Great idea! And it makes sense because the merovingian already has a club so the machines and zion should have one too and their 'Meet with...' missions should be set there just like at club hel.

great idea. This is much needed. Here orgs can organize themselves and have meetings with out being disturbed and listened in on.


I have an idea to add to the club. maybe also have private meeting rooms in each of these clubs. Just like in jacobs ladder or something. and the rooms will be locked. you have to form a mission team to enter one. Like a side mission. have a button by the door that will act as a mission contact. you launch the mission and the mission area is the private room. You can enter and invite people into the team and they can enter. so say you can get a whole faction or crew in one of these private room and have meetings. These rooms should also be sound proof (for definition of sound proof read below)


The Org club is a great idea and can have alot of  uses. I also would like to make these clubs sound proof. so people standing outside cant hear (see the chat w/e) whats going on inside. even if a person is shouting.


This idea sounds reasonable seeing as The General wanted to own parts of the matrix in a trade with the machines.

Here's my idea I've had locked away in my Box 'O The Future Of MxO.






Unbiased Club Bouncers   [RP; controls violent action on HOSTILE servers; improves PvE]
Unbiased club bouncers should stroll the club and react to any hostile actions when seen or heard.  All combatants involved would be forcibly removed from the club either by death or a club bouncer special ability "drag."  Fun PvP or PvE could be found if implemented, not to mention some safety for chillin on a hostile server.


Control a Club and its Bouncers   [RP; creates a resource of income; improves PvP]
If a club is not captured, a player can capture the club, control the bouncers as simulacrum, and demand a cover charge to the club.  If he does so, he automatically flags-up and remains that way until he relinquishes control.  If the club is captured already, a player would have to kill the first owner to control the club.

I'm not so sure about the capture the club idea.  However bouncers that control violence seems good.  Although what makes the bouncers stronger than us, and able to throw us out?  I believe sentrys is a good idea as Inguss proposed.  Although a club for zion and the machines, I'm not so sure about that.  Although we are the future of the matrix, I don't recall zion or the machines having a club.. just the merv.  When neo and gang strolled into club hell there was some violence inside.

True in the movies only the Frenchman had a club but hey no reason now
with more reds walking about there could be one for the other orgs. I
fully support this idea as it would help the vector comunity out alot
for RP and just a casual place to hang to code or chat without a stun
or bulldog hitting ya.



Of course someone could launch an attack but unless they have the
numbers the sentries should help keep them at bay along with any 50's
hanging out inside.

If they outroll us with the ability, then they are stronger than us.  Happens all the time with Succubus and Blood Nobles, why not Club Guards?

 

And capturing a club is awesome.  You just don't completely understand the concept.  It's like your lil world that you get to promote, entertain people and make money at the same time!  And when you get tired of the business, give it to someone else.  No one can control a club forever unless they live in the game.  It would give the game content, even if it was just player content.

 

In fact, there already is a player controlled club called Club Hel.  Players on carebear servers can invite whoever they wish into the club for a cover-charge.  All that is expected in return is fun content.  I can just see the levels of entertainment ramping up as people work on and advertise for their own club.  We need this.  =)

you know **bleep** well that there would be ppl trying to gank them so all parties would turn into huge pvp events and that would be....
