Check out the bottom right corner of that lag box.  X:120  Z:-378   And when you get there you will notice a group of Daggers, and one Dog Pound spawn out of that single point each time you step inside the lag box.  When you step out of it one single dagger spawns and walk in some random direction.  Now try and attack any of them, in the lag zone or out.  Nothing happens.  Now try and attack another gang member anywhere else and you will notice that your abilities are now disabled.  Well, at least that's what happened to me.  I had to relog to get it to work again.

Since the patch...downtown seems really smooth. No lag at all for me.

Well, at least someone isn't encountering lag. SMILEY

The team is continuing to work on the Downtown (and general) lag issues. We think we have a line on the Downtown problem, but it's going to take some testing before we'll know for sure.

I didn't experience any lag when I played yesterday after the patch, but I've yet to jack in today to see if that's till the case. Great job so far, guys! SMILEY

Yeah I have really no lag at all anymore and I didn't crash once at all yesterday and last night. I was crashing on almost every mission for like 2 months. Don't know if it's the patch but whatever it is i'm a happy camper now. Well kinda, FIX SPY MOFO'S.

/agree

I have had barely any lag at all Downtown since the patch. I think they
did some good work. I'm not saying its perfect, but at least now when I
hunt for keys, frags, etc. in the Downtown district, I'm not floating
around. LOL.

Seriously, good work yesterday folks. Nice improvements. I think your a
couple of steps closer to fixing the lag in that area. And since it is
the most kick-*CENSORED* piece of design work I've seen in a MMO, I like to
spend a lot of time down there.

Kudos, keep up the good work.

Downtown's lag box got real small after the patch.  The only big problem area I saw was Park East at the Kalt Supertower.  But the latency status didn't hop into the red zone at all.  =D

I haven't gotten any serious lag Downtown since the patch.
Nice job, Dev team. Go take a vacation - how's Monday work for you? SMILEY

well.....i have a really nice computer and get lag no where- except for Downtown. I get almost no lag in a lot of downtown- not many people go there- but there are some certain areas that i get reall really bad lag in....i think its in the north western neighborhoods. other than that, good job dev team!

Don't praise them Imp! They need beating into shape to get the job
done! And we need whips! Massive whips! That'll get them working,
rahaha!!

But on a more serious note, DT lag is really getting on my nerves, but
since I reset my char, I'm only lvl 31 now, so I don't go there
anymore! (^u^) Mxo ftw! =P *hugs Walrus, then points to the whip just
to remind him whose boss* hehehe

If yer still getting lag in downtown then it may be a computer issue.  Look at the last couple of posts, hardly anyone has gotten lag since the last patch.  I'm not imposing anything on you but you might be lagging due to a slow graphics card. SMILEY
