Vector launcher nerfed in update 9?

The only thing my Whitfield's MK II Code Launcher (tool slot launcher) indicates for buffs now is Range: 6m Requires: Min character level at 45. Previously it was 25% is regen, and something else.

Is this going to be removed from game or modified to be useful at some point in the future?

It's probably going to stay in the game but has been updated to have the same stats as the Program Launcher for CR2. (Unless all buffs are gone from it then I don't know).

Check to see if it matches up with a Mk II program launcher or note the differences between the two.

If I recall, long ago there was a patch that was supposed to remove the tool version of the launcher in favor of making male and female versions that were worn in the eyewear slot.

I think the tool version was supposed to have been completely removed, but it somehow is still around. Perhaps this patch finally gets rid of an obsolete item.

There is no such thing as special items reserved for one server. HCFrog said the loot tables are the same across all servers.

Then there is one hell of a bug around that is only allowing that launcher on Vector and a specific set of enhanced male shades on Recursion. No such "unique" item exists on Syntax. So something is certainly up.

Goofy loot tables, I'd assume. It'll all be changed in just a few weeks. We can re-examine the problem then. :p

I loved that launcher and without it my IS regen is horrible. I wish they would have left it alone...now ill have to spend 30 mil for some widow moor lenses..if I can even find them

Maybe the loot tables are the same, but that doesn't mean that either the tool launcher or the Recursion glasses are on any of those loot tables. As I recall, the launcher and the enhanced glasses showed up on their respective marketplaces for outrageous amounts of info (something like 404,404,404 - which just screams "dev placeholder number" to me. SMILEY ), and some players actually got together enough info to buy the glasses and the launcher. There were another pair of enhanced glasses on Recursion, but they weren't very good, so no one bought them. Thus, they were lost forever.

I'm guessing that at some point, some items that weren't supposed to be in the game (but which for some reason were not removed from the master list of available items) were accidentally dropped into the marketplace as the effect of some major patching (weirder things have happened - weird invisibility day/non-hostile Enumerator day, for example) and purchased.

More than likely, these items cannot be dropped by NPCs, and that is why we have not seen them yet on the other servers.

In a way I am glad to see it gone, but I kinda liked the unquieness of it.

For those who haven't seen it, here is the official word on it. Disappointing considering not much does go in the tool slot. Archive books and fly in amber only as far as I know. Oh well..

What might have happened is that these items were on some sort of weird loot table that got changed since then, so someone on one server found it before it got changed and it never dropped again. Or, some fiendish dev created an instance of an item that isn't on any loot tables and put it on the marketplace. I suspect the first one more though.

The tool-slot program launcher is definitely a long-existing bug and was supposed to be dealt with a long time ago. I think it just slipped through the cracks.

Thats amazing recursion kids are saying there is no such thing as a server specigic item when their all wearing one.The only one left btw.Me and another guy found the grey launcher and now its useless.Why would they remove buffs for vectors and leave recursion glasses be.For you to say a goofy loot table when your not even close to a dev or an exp players is hilarious.

Ive had 50's on all servers and 1 thing is for sure.All 3 servers had 1 item that couldnt be made on other servers.Now vectors is gone yet recursion keeps theirs.Unless your from vector or a dev dont comment for a dev or even comment at all.Thank you.
