Hey so I'm a level 17 gunman going towards duelist and I was wondering what the best way to get decent new gear would be? I've been pretty much just doing archive missions for the story/xp/info but now my gear seems to be really lacking (mostly blue's and grey items). I've done the odd collector quests but they feel like too much of a grind. Is there any better way to upgrade my gear or am i kinda stuck doing the collector missions?

Also I was interested in doing some of the missions for the anniversary event however I haven't been able to play until today. I was wondering if the events are still going on, and if they are where can I find them?

One good way to get gear is to ask for someone that can code a large amount of clothing.  Which server are you on?  If you're on Syntax I can hook you up.  Also maybe try the Marketplace (right-click on a Hardline and select it), while there's not a wide variety of stuff on there, you might come across something you could use.

As for the Anniversary event, yes, it'll be going on until this Thursday.  To do the Anniversary mission, go to any of the monuments in the game (Hypercube near Mara C, for example) and talk to the Smith Virologist there.  Then you can buy the mission ticket as well as some rewards for killing the Smithlings that will ambush you on the mission.  Enjoy!

Cool man, I am on Syntax and I'll definatlely look you up. I've checked the marketplace a few times for new gear but like you said, not really a lot of variety.
