I am writing today because I want AWR To stay on the
air.  If you want Sony to realize how much the station does for
the community, sign your name here, with a little something about why
you think the station should continue.

-PlatinumPlatypus

I Have Been Playing Since October 2004, and eversince i
found out about RFZ/AWR i listened to them non stop while i was ingame,
they had better coverage of the events than The MxO staff did, and even
though i only had 56k dial up as my connection i still listened, i
missed alot of info and i lagged alot but it made the game more
exciting, now with awr gone i basically stoped playing MxO, i just pop
in about 25mins aday to sya hi and talk to faction mates, but still all
in all AWR made this Game A whole hell of alot more interesting, with
in-game partys, contests, Player Run Live Events, etc...

My name is Caffeine and I support AWR.  I would love for the station to stay on the air.  Ever since back in beta, whether it be RFZ or AWR, I never played MxO without listenening to the station.  I can't imagine playing without it.

Hey everyone, Ic3b3rg here. I fully support AWR with being part of MxO, however SOE feels they do not want to pay for the service. They are missing out on using a great radio station service to make the game a lot of fun, increasing the user base and getting more revanue in. Ultimatly they can increase there profits and get more LE's and Live events going and server stability fixed.

I feel its a Win Win situation for SOE to do this, I understand there are other stations, but AWR has been here from the start, and they should be with MxO fully supported by SOE. The End of Beta would not have been what it was, if not for RFZ/AWR. I urge as many of you to please post here and show your support.

I think MxO kinda dropped the ball with supporting the radio stations.
Yes they did support all 3 back like 6 months ago, but since SOE took
over they dont have any community links on the main page(they dont have
anything on data node one, what am i talking about?). If they could
give some links that'd be great.

But that's not to say they havent done anything at all. I know Walrus
has had to work through SOE to get Chadwicks interview clearance(and
His own interview...whats the status on that one?). So I recognize what
they've done, but just some simple links could go a long way, i know
they did for our Xbox party on Vector about a month ago SMILEY

I had faction mates that DJ during beta on RFZ ever since the Change to AWR I didnt find it the same but I still listened.  We need AWR, it was the only big Radio station with no specific org affiliation that had a name for its self *I only know AWR, exile radio and machine, others I never hear about*

SOE needs to realize one thing. The success and the
massive
players that showed up and participated in the Live Event to kill the
assassin were the result of AWRs efforts to provide live in game
coverage of events that were happening in real time.. How do you think
so many players got involved in the DAILY Chasing of the Assassin.
AWR.  the Success of Club Unity. AWR. The Success of all the other
past Live events. AWR. The list goes on and one. Let me tell you it
certaintly wasn't your (and Monoliths) buggy code and half-done
gameplay that kept people coming back for more.... its the COMMUNITY!

CU or no, take away live events SOE and you will fail to make money
from this game. Simply because with AWR, your live events will fail to
bring out the players in number that your plans require for you to
actually make profit with this game.

You GREATLY underestimate the value that AWR brings to the Matrix
Online and while you think you are making a smart business decision,
you are in fact, making it much harder for yourselves to realize a
return from your investment here.

This is the life blood of the community speaking here, SOE. Sign the
deal with AWR. Bite the bullet. Show a little courage and invest in the
people that make this game great and keep players coming back for me.
Invest what you got into something that will garuntee your return of
investment.

Come back to the table with AWR, figure out a finance plan that works for both parties, make it work and make it happen.

Bring back AWR.

My Name Is The Lady Kayaus, Admiral of The Sirens, And I Want My AWR!

I feel that I have to explain, again, that this game is a mixed blend of your content, and player content. Why do you think a lot of us are still here, even after the half-empty promises of good, stable game content? Why, with a multitude of bugs and storyline events that seems to be the same things with a new ‘skin’ added to them, that The Sirens are still here? Why, with what looks like a shrinking player base, do most of hang around?

It’s simple, SOE, I have fought tooth and nail to continue here because of what I have seen in beta. I have continue to pay you my monthly fee because of the potential this game, no… this *community* has, because of what RFZ/AWR did in beta. I stay for our own events that we have accomplished. WE have stayed because we have had a solid radio station and MMO Community Support Company there to back us up, because you were not willing to do it yourselves. The Sirens, and many other organizations continued to party, because AWR was always there to back us up, support us, nurture our ideas freely.

Because of AWR, the community grew as a whole. How many ideas have you implemented because of us, because of AWR? Why do you think Monolith implemented the RADIO feature?! For crying out loud, that wasn’t some kind of spontaneous idea someone had! Why did the original game guide SPECIFICALLY mention, at the time, Radio Free Zion? It was because they did have a MAJOR impact on the community AND your game.

Other game publishers have already observed that TMS Broadcasting has some awesome ideas to ensure that THEIR players are happy, and have a unique community-building tool at their disposal. Why don’t you see that. Not could, but WOULD you have a game without forums, without live customer support, or a website for your game? I’d be willing to be they might have seemed like outrageous ideas way back when. But now? They are critical to the overall success of the game. Well, AWR with TMS Broadcasting can be just as critical too. You just need to believe in that like many of us who actually play the game do.

In the end, if we loose AWR, we loose a critical part of our overall game experience. Sure, you can continue to have underground, unsupported stations out there that will fail because of no income. You can continue to rely on the players themselves to break their backs, put so much work in building up a fan base, only to loose it because the actual game isn’t improving fast enough, again like you promised. Or, you could step up to the plate, and support AWR. No… that’s not right. Support your COMMUNITY.

(I will continue this fight, on the Siren’ website, www.thesirens.us . A special page just for this outrage is coming very soon!)
