So, I happily turn on my computer today and the first thing on my mind is seeing the new patch.

The rest of this story is a bad one indeed.

My account has been mysteriously closed--Despite, to my chagrin, me playing last night. So I go to look at the details. The last billing date was the 26th. I was playing last night. What is going on, I thought.

So I decided to remain calm. I grabbed my wallet and edited my subscription so that it could be reactivated. However... This is the message I recieved after trying both of my cards:

"Credit card rejected, but due to system problems."

I am trying to remain calm. I am trying very, very hard. After seeing this patch delayed twice (More like delayed from release until now because we all know this stuff should have been in game long before this day), and now a 'system error' with my account... What am I allowed to look forward to here?

At least I can still post on the forums. Oh wait a minute. Nevermind.

You all know how long I've been with the game and have been an active part of this community much to my own pleasure as well as, I hope, yours. I had saved up over 100 million $info on my own just for this. I was ok with the patch being delayed once. I was ok with the patch being delayed twice. But this is unacceptable.

AvatRAMa is going to be sending in a CCR for my problem soon. But if it winds up as a 'Email this, call this, live chat this, email this' endless loop, you could say good bye to Captain Sykin of the Guardian.

The ingame CSR's won't be able to help you. You need to get in contact with SOE billing.

You could try live chat, because I don't know the number for billing off the top of my head SMILEY

(Oh ya, check your PM box SMILEY)

Leaving the game just because of some technical account error that probably doesn't even have to do anything with the game development, would be highly... unlogical, Mr. Sykin.

It's as if I had left the game after the Anniversary event because of the login bug. "CR 2.0 is a travesty, the event sucked, and I stayed. But that my login is being rejected? Good bye, green sky!"

I know you're highly enraged and annoyed, but remain calm - I'm sure you'll be helped. If not... you won't be able to play, and continuing paying 15 bucks per month just for the forums wouldn't be recommedable anyway SMILEY

Perhaps you are right, zeroone. But anyways... I would hate to leave as well. I am at the Live Chat 'Waiting' room. More like the Live Chat Limbo. Position 1 in the queue. AvatRAMa says he waited 4 hours at 'Position 1' until someone helped him last time he needed the Live Chat.

Thus begins the Trials of Sykin.

Looks like Ernesto rained bad luck on us both, despite the fact that it was barely a bother.  Tuesday night I shut my computer down and unplugged it so the storm couldn't cause any damage to it in the form of power surges.  I wake up the next morning, plug my computer in, and the power supply is dead.  Everything else is fine, no signs of a brownout, blackout, etc.  Strangest thing ever.  I guess the power supply decided to die at a bad time.  I'm currently using someone else's computer, but until I get the power supply fixed, I'm out of MxO. -_-

Sykin just hang in there bro, everything will be just fine, and you'll be back in game by this evening.  Besides, who else are we going to ask when needing help solving puzzles when everyone else has migraine headaches from banging heads on the desk.

Cya in game soon

Hello Sykin,

The "Card declined, but due to system problems" error is a generic message given when a card is denied by the bank.  You may want to verify that your card has the proper amount of funds on it, and that your bank is not blocking charges to us for any reason.  If you contact the bank, they should have more info on the decline.  Sorry to tell you this, because I know you don't want to hear it, but your best bet for getting assistance would be through live chat or a phone call.  Contact info is listed in my sig.

Well, apparently there must be a problem at the bank because I see that my funds are fine, and have been fine, since before the billing date for this game. I'll have to call them then. This is very strange.

This happened with someone else's account yesterday, too. His account was open the previous night, and his account is now closed... 14 days early. So... *shrug*

Huh. Very strange. But the strangest thing is that I'm looking at my history here and I don't see any billing by SOE or anything 'Matrix Online' on the 26th and upwards. Perhaps my bank blocked it for some reason... I just ordered a good amount in new computer parts (Because I'm going to build a new computer that will run this game better, heh SMILEY ). And I don't normally order stuff online. Avat's telling me that it might have alarmed the bank somehow. I'll call them soon.

Well, back when I was playing SWG, on the same station account...I had my credit card rejected due to some discrepancies (when the card holder reviewed the bill), long story short I got banned...but it's easy to fix mate.  Just call your bank up, then SOE's Billing stuff...If there's one kind of support SOE is good with, it's billing...because they want your money.

Also, depending on the card (for example I have a debit card specifically for subscriptions), maybe you had a dollar or so less than you had...or maybe your bank saw a similar priced item from your orders, and considered it a replication.  I know that Monarch Computers, Newegg, and TigerDirect all do replication verification with your bank.
