So.  Simple idea....

Currently, everyones "tags" are blue when not pvp "hot"...   This is fine.

My suggestion is that when you go flag "hot",  instead of everyone being red,  your flag should turn to a color depending on which org you work for.

I.E.  (just an example)

Mervs flag Yellow
Zions flag Purple
Machines flag Orange

The colors are meaningless really,  just a way to be able to quickly, visually assess who's has more numbers on the battlefield in a pvp situation.

Thoughts,  feelings,  vehement  disagreement?    Discuss.

Thanks.

Yeah why not its something different and may make the game more interesting. The colours don't have to be meaningless though they can represent the type of org your working for. Like zion being blue because they are an org who want peace and blue is a peaceful colour.

Sorry, but *CENSORED*?!  Granted this is all matter of perspective, but when was Zion peaceful?  On both servers I play on, a majority of them are nothing but a zerg of angry redpills.

But back on topic...

I've noticed that sometimes my cursor's crosshairs are blue and sometimes red depending on who I target.  Is that something intentional or defined?

As far as seperating the red sea into org specific colors, I'm all for it.  Nice idea, KK.  SMILEY

It might work, but they'd need to distinguish the colors from the regular con system. Maybe use darker or paler colors to prevent it from looking like one side is stronger than the other. I know I certainly would be more terrified of a sea of purple names than a sea of orange ones, regardless of whether or not they were just players flagged for PvP.

A blue crosshair tells you that the person has an evade shield up.  A red crosshair means that their shield is down.

neat idea, but t would mean nothing too me as i have org tags turned on so i can just scroll acroos and see who i see the most off....however colours could make it easier?

maybe stick this in the development roundabout table?

Yeah,  thanx for the comments y'all.    I didn't mean for the colors to conflict with Mob Con Colors,  or make anything more complicated than it needs to be.   It'd just be nice to be able to simply look,  and immediately see,   "oh,  there's way more "purples" than "oranges" today.....  think i'll help out the "oranges" for a bit.

Ya know?

Even with org tags turned on all the time,  it would still be a heck of a quicker assessment of the situation, if we could just look and "see" what org is dominating at any given time.

Again,  thanx for t3h c0mm3nts and I'm glad y'all like my idear.

Red like a redpill for Zion

Blue like a bluepill for Machines

and Green like the matrix code for the Merovingian

I was talking storywise not pvpwise.

i can't tell if you're saying this because you are a zionist or because you're not a zionist. have you done zion critical missions? i'd say a great deal are anything but "peaceful". while merovingianist missions can be more wantonly destructive, zion command isn't exactly staffed by noble innocents.

as to the suggestion, though, that color wouldn't work, at least with how we've gone for so long. since blue is "non-hostile" already, changing zion specifically to blue would really, really screw things up for any non-zionists.

I like the idea. Could be good. Although there would end up being so many colors when the new organizations become available. The biggest advantage I see would be the ability to be able to quickly determine how many enemies for each organization are remaining (would be especially useful when there's 6 pvp teams)

However a problem I see is people confusing the colors with NPC difficulty levels. They might find it unfair if Zion is purple (indicating hard to fight enemy) whereas say, Cypherite perhaps, is green (indicating easy enemy)

Would probably need to wait until these new organizations are released before deciding on this one for certain.

Storywise in general. Zions ultimate goal is for peace and to free the bluepills. Their criticals are violent but thats because they have to be to achieve their goals. Morpheus and Niobe are the ones who go a bit over the top but Tyndall and the council do try to limit the violence. Tyndall is the only person that doesn't like handing out assassination missions.

Due to Philosophy, ZIon is blue, Matrix is green and 01 is yellow so that should be the basis.

Zion is red (because of the lava) , the real world is blue...
