(Yes I searched the forums before posting this)

Remember that certain scene in Reloaded? I bet you do.
Remember how Trinity's body has never been returned? I bet you do.
Remember that her corpse was left in a 31st century technology city? I bet you do.
Do you think if she was pregnant that the baby(ies) could've been saved? I do.

Hmm, I remember hearing something that Trinities remains were recycled. But it probly wasn't official from the plot writers. Reguardless, when she died, wasn't there a cable through her stomach right about where her uteris is? Anyone have a picture? I haven't watched Revolutions in a couple weeks -_-

If she was pregnant though, I don't think the machines would have tried to save it. Especially since it would have just been conceived and be no larger then 20 cells. Other then that, yes, I do think it could have been saved.

Judging by the facts given in the movies, I can say it would be possible for her to be pregnant.  However... the amount of real-time that passed between Neo/Trinity and her death was too short to be really meaningful.

If the Machines had retrieved her fetus, they would have done so almost immediately after her death.  Given the tactics Sentinels used during Reloaded to take out hovercraft, it seems they really weren't too concerned about new human life, no matter how far along it was.

My verdict: It's a maybe.  A big one.

Could be possible and a good reason Trinity's body wasn't recycled but I don't know.

Actually, the Assassin said specifically in his memoirs that Trinity was not recycled, and that a project was planned with her corpse.

You're right. It's not. According to the Assassin Memoirs Trinity's body was never recycled as already mentioned and the Assassin would know since he was the guy recycling people. In fact, that's the reason he ended up in the matrix. He was left out of the loop on what the Machine was doing with Trinity's body and saw his own deletion forthcoming. Usurpation of primary functions leads to deletion. Or something like that. I'd have to dig it out of my archives.

As for the metal through her, people have had a chunk of rebar pass right through thier brain and lodge there yet they are fine. Well ... except for a spear of metal through thier head ...

Stranger things have happened in real life...

((I think the metal was higher up than where her uterus would be. More around the area of the stomach and intenstines. Nearer to the breastbone than the pelvic area. I'd have to check to make sure though.))

It would be interesting if the machines did save her baby if she was pregnant and inserted it into the matrix. That means neo's child is a bluepill in the matrix or maybe he/she has already been freed.

Uhm the child that Trinity would have given birth to is FREEBORN. No plugs u know. Human body can't make metal. And so he/she wouldnt be able to jack in....ever...(again lol) ...ever...

Then how did the Machines get their metal into their own products?

Keep in mind that humans have those plugs since "birth".  It would be much easier to implant them in a fetus than in an adult.

Indeed, although I seem to remember a certain scene from Animatrix which doesn't really confirm the Machines' ability to plug them in as free-born. But then that would kill the Birth thread in this board, and I don't really wanna hurt that thread's OP's feelings, so I won't delve into it SMILEY

I don't know that the child being freborn would be a problem... remember neo being able to affect machines in the real and also managing to separate his mind from his body, putting his mind into the matrix. ... an UBER one

Now that raises an interesting question....what would the spawn of The One and The Three ( fah, Trinity, you get it) be like? Would we call him/her/them the Four or the Two? Ow, mah brain hurts.

I sense an EPN event...

I doubt it. Unless 9 months passed between the sex scene and Trinity's death, I doubt there was any saved babies.

And personally, I think machines digging into Trinity's womb, installng cranial jacks and so-forth in the fetus, and growing it to do whatever is a little far-fetched. Even for the Wachowski's or Chadwick or Peter Jackson, or whoever is behind this thing now.
