Operation Report: Ice Breaker

The board is set, and the pieces are moving. We arrived in down town to gather our forces before moving on to meet with Veil to get her briefing on the Operation. I had taken the... liberty... to add a little something, something to the Operation. I received word a couple of weeks ago, that EPN had gotten wind on some of the details of our operation, and I knew they would try to stop us. Even with their numbers, there was no way they could hinder us in this given the nature of this operation: but no one else knew that. This sham of a Truce is about to be blown wide open, all the rest would see what we already knew. But just in case something did go wrong, and we did not get the proof on Zion activities we needed to hand over to the Machines, I figured it would be wise to put as much strain on the Truce as possible. I let word go out to The Collective and to Deletion that there would be an E Pluribus Neo operation, and that we would need assistance. I knew that TC would jump when ordered to, and Deletion would just be hungry for killing, both would fit very well into my Plan. Ah, and here comes E Pluribus Neo, right on schedule... along with Fenshire soon after. Well, not totally unexpected on that one... his allegiances are not clear, another bonus to my Plan. I text a message to Illyria to head to Creston Heights. Soon after this, The Collective and Deletion come through the hard line. A battle insues between the Machinists and EPN, it is then that we slink away. Veil teleports us into Sakura, where we are briefed on the mission one final time. Our target is a Zion captain and her ship, which has valuable and damning evidence of Zion's infractions of the Truce. We know that she will be in Downtown in a few moments, and will soon be ours. I watch as Veil pats her pocket and smiles, I nod in agreement. I inform the Collective of who we are after, and she is detected soon there after... along with a surprise guest. No other than the "esteemed" Zion captain of the Logos II: Niobe. Oh, what a day this will be. Veil teleports us outside the building where the Zion meeting is being held, the Collective is all ready inside. We bust into the room, and Veil is quite surprised to see Niobe, she will definitely be a great bonus. During their banter, Veil reaches into her pocket and just like that, the code of the Zionists changes to hostile. And this is where my plan comes together even more beautifully than I imagined. The Machinists take this as a hostile action, and open fire on Niobe, the Zion captain, and as well as their liasons. They are quickly dropped, besides Niobe, and one lies dead: the captain we were after. No matter, our hovercrafts are on the way to her ship as well as the Logos II which is docked near by. A battle insues while we try to hold Niobe, Zion reinforcements arrive. We capture the Zion hovercraft, but before we can start working on the Logos, it escapes. Ah, well... can't win them all. Niobe will soon gets what coming to her anyway. We leave the area to meet again with Veil, she informs us that Cypherite engineers are already going through the data on the Hovercraft, and the crew will be questioned. We then leave to go about our business.

end log.

Collateral Damage:

Ah, the Data Node One communication network is up in flames. Machinists yelling at Zionists for doing something dastardly and asking why Niobe and her goons would go hostile, and Zionists yelling at the Machinists for killing a Zion captain and attacking Niobe. And Machinists yelling at Machinists for apparently leading EPN operatives to our meeting in Downtown. I just sit back and watch as the Truce unravels even with out the information we have acquired. I am very glad that I had not followed Exivy's orders to not include the Machinists in this operation... guess she got those from Cryptos. The final nail in the Truce's coffin is about to be hammered in, there are rumors of a hovercraft on the way to the Earth's core to see what Zion is up to. We have been fighting a shadow war against Zion alone for long enough, its time for things to come out into the light. I can only hope tha---

Well the cat's out of the bag, no harsh feelings right? Everything worked out well, we got the info we needed and showed the world that Zion was being evil and sneaky bastards. Sure we've been used before, but so the Machinists and Machines can be used as well. hehe

Very interesting operation report.  But ultimately inaccurate, at least in parts.

Not innacurate at all, everything Roukan posted is the truth.

/EmperorPalpatine Everything happened as I had forseen.

When I was told the details of this operation, I knew I needed some Machinists to help out to put some final stain on the Truce. I knew McDOE wouldn't help, as they didn't like us Cyphs. But I knew The Collective would with little or no questions asked, and I knew Deletion would as they would just want to kill some folks. Fenshire coming through the hardline *AFTER* EPN got there helped immensely, as it caused some friction between the Machinists as well as the Machinists and EPN, as I helped ya'll to believe that he came through the HL at the same time as them. Ya'll getting to Niobe and the Zion captain before we did, helped a bundle! As well as firing on them when they were... hmm... forced hostile somehow hehehe. And if you didn't notice, I barely posted in those 22 pages of drama, just gave a little nudge here and there where I saw fit. So Collective, please continue being as gulliable as possible and follow your orders without question, we and the Machines need more pawns like you. I may yet have use for ya'll in Grand Evil Plan 2: Reloaded. Be seeing you.
