....I have no clue what any of this means. :/
Explain to us, Bay!
Hey forum search worked.
Not to rez a dead thread but I think this is a good question. I just hit a level and was watching the #'s change as I refreshed abils, I noticed v.d.t and t.d.t were missing also. Would be nice to have even if it seems the general consensus is that the rolls are so random the numbers displayed are insignificant. I like to take them into consideration.
Well bay, for that reason, among others, I don't use that tab/stats for intel; its obselete to me.
Meh they r wrong anyways. When they fix em they can also add the other 2 ^^
Yeah... you can alter what you see in those tabs w/ useropts, set them to always be 50 or the non Guassian rolls... either way it doesn't affect your actual rolls, which makes me just disregard that Tab of the UI completely. Old thread
After testing various things to see if they cause any change on this screen I have to agree it doesn't operate as it appears it was intended to.
Changing styles alters the roll value, I imagine this is a result of the different point values in each specific area. For example with my lvl 27 char I've been using for testing, I have 37 Thrown Accuracy with spy style and 27 Melee accuracy with self defense. When I'm in spy style for speed attack my avg CT is 71. When I'm in self defense it's 67 pts for speed attack CT. So the TA number is higher, seems ok. When I apply the cutthroat upgrade for an extra 5 pts TA there is no change. When I look at spy style a little closer I see 33 pts Melee Accuracy, so maybe it's that rather than the thrown accuracy that gives me the extra 4 pts CT over self defense?
When I compare the damage between the two styles it doesn't make any sense. Spy style gives me 17 pts Thrown Damage and 12 pts melee damage. Self defense gives me 7 pts melee damage and 7 pts ballistic damage. The number of dmg pts displayed for speed attack in self defense is 68 pts and in spy style 52 pts. I would expect a higher dmg number for spy style here. Also the cuthroat upgrade for 3 thrown damage doesn't change anything.
The hyper dodge and block (ballistic and melee defense) abilties seem to update the MDT and RDT when you activate them. There is no noticable change for the other two hyper abilities.
Clothing that gives a thrown accuracy bonus appears to make no change, the best I had was a 3% cumulative bonus however. My best guess is the bonus value I had is too low or is factored in later during the combat equation rather than for your stats?
It's also possible I'm just looking at it wrong or looking for something that isn't supposed to be there.
