So how will buddy keys work exactly, will everyone get one? Or will those who opt for it?

Sorry Raijinn, alot of people are use to the link being in the threadpost.

The way the buddy key stuff works is, you subscribe to the MxO newsletter, once you are subscribed, and they do the buddy key stuff, you will receive a email with 5 trial keys.  The keys are good for a 10 day subscription to MxO.  So basically you have to opt in for the newsletter to get the trial keys.

Maybe when I get my trial keys, I'll re-subscribe to WoW for a month to get a couple of friends who have never heard of MxO to give it a try.

Ok, I fixed the linky so now we have it officially in my post.

And pretty much that's how the promotion will work. Thanks!

Unfortunately i have to resound this sarcastic statement.

So far the glasses have been nothing more than glorified forum posts, what used to be the highlight of my MxO week has now turned into something i can easily pass over in my regular surfing.

And i mean no offence to Raijiin either but it has to be said, the looking glass is something one really has to strive for, not just shrug off with a 'yeah... so... still working on that thing btw, bye'

Look back over Walrus' looking glasses, he has nice big titles, juicy topics, community concerns and explainations, insights into his world and day to day stuff.

Oh and a random note: Keep the forums nice and up-to-date. The anniversary event is no longer extended and we're past update 50 in the official updates discussion and the broadcast depth annoucment/stickies are getting into somewhat of a disarray.

As for buddy keys, i fear too little too late, they were intended for the anniversary, it made perfect sense, a main movie character's return, a big ol in game event, the site had a nice new picture (that has yet to be taken down, actually, the site is still in a bit of a shambles for new players - UPDATE 2.0?!), lots of people wanting to return. But nothing. Zwilch.

What will the keys do now? Whats actually different than the last time they were sent out? They're a missed opportunity and nothing more now.

'Scuse me for being rude but Cloudwolf, have you ever made a positive comment at all on these forums. Everytime I see one of your posts it seems to be negative.
I'm sure Raijinn is extremely busy and has only a short amount of time to write these articles. We have to remember that it is still early days since he took over. maybe we should all cut the Dev team some well earned slack.

No offence taken Gkin, i kinda live by the forum philosphy an old friend on these boards once resonated - its better to be blunt, realistic and outspoken about something than to sit back and let things slide for the sake of appearences. If people do that then problems are never highlighted or rectified.

I quite frankly don't care much for how people view me, negative, positive, whatever, all i care about here is making the game the best place it can be and without clear feedback that can never happen.

But to answer your question, yes, i have SMILEY

I hope in time we get a few more updates on upcoming things.

Buddy keys is good, question... will the new sign ups get the mobius and hyperjump like before?

Yeah, it seems like this is just something he comes up with in 10 minutes.

I know you're in a different place (which I don't understand why a Community Relations guy would not be with the team of the game he is supposed to be a part of but w/e), but I don't think it'd be that difficult to talk to someone with MxO.

i was going to suggest occasionally padding it out with "guest writers" or something, but it has the potential for extreme disaster. then again, so do most things...
