All those who said they'd leave or go to WoW if the other item was HJ Beta: Bye! All those who say they're leaving if they ever give out beta clothes: Please go away now because you're an elitist for thinking beta clothes make your experience of the game and is thus SHATTERED if beta clothes were made trade-able.
¬_¬
People still complaining that Mobius and HJBeta are 'veteran' rewards? They lost their value early 2006 when those trials started and people just kept restarting trials to get as many of these abils as they liked and sold them on before they were made untradeable.
We only asked for Mobius to be made available to all in some form as we felt screwed over as we went out, bought the game (and finding a copy of MxO in any shop is the thing that really should be rewarded) and got diddly squat.
If you were here during Beta, you will have Beta clothing, if you were here during the Assassin stuff, you'll have a Flit Gun and/or Assassin Mask.
Also, I always looked as HJ'Beta' as the Beta version of the normal HJ ability and thats why it has that name.
All those who say they're leaving if they ever give out beta clothes: Please go away now because you're an elitist idiot for thinking beta clothes make your experience of the game and is thus SHATTERED if beta clothes were made trade-able.
That's quite the stretch. There's nothing wrong with Beta players, or indeed non-Beta players believing that Beta items should go to those who were in Beta. They were items given out as a mark of respect and to symbolise their presence. Allowing others to gain those items cheapens the initial gift, and their tenure in Beta. It's the principle which lends voice to concern, not that their experience of the game rests solely on the accumulation of unique items.
That's not to say that there isn't an elitist element behind the voices of some, however, but it's academic at this point.

If they see someone else NOT in beta wearing beta clothing then their world spirals out of control and they pick their heroine addiction back up and they drop out of school. If you want fair then not only did you pick the wrong game, but you picked the wrong species. If you're gonna leave because of in-game clothing then you may as well just leave now and spare me your drama.
It's hardly their 'world spiralling out of control', just a concern based on the particulars of the reward system. I'm sure there are some who would go a little melodramatically nuts over it, but the underlying principle remains the same.
Anyway, sparring over semantics results in both of us losing no matter what, so there's that.
Someone call up the person that left because they couldn't get this stuff.
