Well, the rounds themselves would be bigger, not the actual magazine they went in, that and 99% of russian made weapons would be rocking a curved AK-style bananna mag, not a box mag, as the picture shows.The scope is the main feature that draws one to conclude it is in some way Soviet hardware, as they are honestly the only ones to consistently use a side mount for scopes for going on half a century now [German Kar-98 Sniper varients used a side mount]. /shrug
