Yes I am NCPilot.  If there's one thing I know about business is that Negative Word of Mouth always hurt business.  If we start a bunch of small kindle of "Negative word" then it should grow like wild fire soon enough.

SoE, if you don't like what I've posted on MMORPG.com, the you only have yourself to blame.  You can retify this situation at any time, by paying some darn attention to MxO, but you won't.  So, have fun trying to put the flames out.

Oh, man...

Met, your epic fail thread actually embarrased me. There is absolutely nothing going on in that thread that could hurt SOE.. as a matter of fact, looking at the posts, you've only driven up support for them.

You've probably just set any good work being done for MxO back by like 30 years.

Well played young sir, well played.

Alright, finally got to read it.

I hate to say it, Met...  but the only thing you accomplished was to make yourself look like a fool.  I understand what you're trying to do...  but you have to try to come off more professionally, and less SOE haterish.  I mean, saying that SOE should keep their hands off the game is ridiculous...  DC Online is being developed by SOE.  It's not some random game that they're taking over like MxO.

That said, I do know of several boycotts that are already planned for DC Online and the Agency...  so I wouldn't worry too much.  The Agency might be successful, but I can bet that DC Online will be a total flop.  They're going up against City of Heroes/Villians, as well as Champions Online.  Yes, DC has a name behind it...  but the very fact that it's SOE will keep a lot of people away.

While it is true that if people have a bad experience with a buisness they will tell more people than if they had a good experience.  Something in the region of 4 people for a bad experience to every 1 talked to about a good experience.

But, they also say "any publicity is good publicity."

Your little rant has done nothing to hurt the popularity of any forthcoming titles.  Those who already want to boycott, for whatever reason, will do so.  Those that want to play it will play it, because your argument just looks like all the other haters out there.  In fact, those sitting on the fence in the whole matter (those "casual gamers" who rarely take sides) will probably be more inclined to play it with the mindset "it can't be as bad as that idiot said".

And I had to laugh at your admittance that you are NCPilot.  The sentiment "we like people to know of the good work we do anomously" springs to mind.  I don't really know what your argument was/is/will be.  But, the evidence you use to moan at SOE is flawed beyond doubt.

Back to the drawing board my good man.  Find some arguments that do work and aren't just made up bull.
