Somethin thats bn annoyin me for a while now and thats me just rememberin about it SMILEY

When typin in u'r chat box, and u make a mistake, u need to backspace all the way to the mistake to correct it. This gets very frustratin, 'specially when u'r like me and suck at spellin SMILEY

So could the chat boxes not be made a bit like the backgrounds, cause in the backgrounds u can click anywhere with the cursor and then type.

p.s. Love that u can now add more than 1 item in emails but in the Loadin Area u can only put in 2 items. Could this be sorted?

I'm in support of this.  It does get frustrating when you type a long message and realize you've misspelled a word or messed up a conjugation a couple sentences back.  I don't know how hard that would be to implement, but it'd be nice to have.

By god, this has to happen.

As for the e-mail thing, I think it only lets you add one item (two? Do you mean an item plus some money?) because you need to right-click an item in your inventory to add it. In the loading area the e-mail screen covers the inventory, so you can't access anything else. I don't see them letting you change the window order any time soon. SMILEY

In a slightly related matter i miss some things people say in my chat box.

I have found myself wondering what people are talking about and people are like.. didnt you see that in area??? i scroll up and nothing.  I have even had people paste whats been said into whispers so i know for sure i do miss chats.  I have checked my ignore list and it hasnt been people on ignore.  It could be someone ive had a conversation with and there like... not gonna answer.  Its not that ive not been paying attention to chat this physically happens that i dont receive their chat.  I have also /bug this a couple of times now and nothing has happened.

As for your suggestion The_bruce... i dig it... sounds great.

Are they on your buddy list? You've not got the "Blocking unknown external IM's" option ticked do you? I think if thats ticked then it's pretty much the same as having someone on ignore if they're not on your buddy list.

As far as this suggestion goes, I like it. I do hate typing out a huge message and then realising at the very beginning that I've made the stupidest error.

Checked that.. so far its only been people on my buddy list that ive noticed not talking to me.  It can be any of the chats or whispers.  Ive been told people are worried im not talking to me cause they havent receieved a reply and im like.. wait i havent had any tells from them today???

Hm, weird. I know that when you're recalled or when you switch hardlines with text in your chat box being typed then it appears as being said or sent client side but doesn't actually send, though that's not really the same thing.

The only other solution I can come to is that someone is winding you up SMILEY<img src=" /> But, I doubt thats the case :/ I suppose it'd be nice to have an official response to both this idea and that problem.

Suggestion:
To make the chat input field more intuitive, bind UNIX shortcuts to it, since Ctrl is used for things such as interface hiding and camera movement switch it to the Alt key.

Alt+U erase input (set chat input to nothing)

Alt+A set cursor position to start (all the way to beginning of line)
Alt+E set cursor position to end (all the way to end of line)

LeftArrowKey move cursor one position to left (unless cursor is at start)
RightArrowKey move cursor one position to the right (unless cursor is at end)

Since these would be bound to the chat input field, the shortcuts would only come into effect when focus is on the chat window. (Ideally these bindings would be applied to Email and SetBackground windows also)

----------

In relation to the chat input field being sent to client when teleporting.. just as the buffs unload before teleport the chat input should be erased. (Ideally this would be stored in a variable and put back into the chat input field after the teleport is complete)

Check your streams in the chat options. You might have some unchecked that u need checked.  It happened to me at my faction initiation. Couldnt see any area chat or tells. Have the panel set to area and see what you have checked, all else fails reset to default and i bet it fixes it.
