Ive only been back ingame a week and this top 100 idea has renewed my interest in pvp. However i would like to see some improvements made that i think most ppl will like. At the moment only total cq is shown, i think there should be a seperate list for top 25 cq gained per month rather then total (25 due to the low population atm). This would really encourage new 50's or ppl that were lower in cq (like myself) to compete hard to get onto the monthly list and eventually the total list. Ive seen the posts from the vector player that is doing this but i would like to see it on all servers. I did notice the small links to pictures showing movement on the list per month, but this is not easy to follow and still only shows movement by the top 100. Another idea is to have this info posted on a page on the main website and updated monthly there so ppl that dont frequent the forum can see and also potential buyers would see it and get interested in the pvp aspect of the game.

The Vector PvP list is cool no doubt, but do we have anyone who have the time to make one for Syntax? Not me... I agreed that we should see some more content in the PvP area, but we have been asking for that since, well ever. So far we got this and hope with every patch there comes out there might be just a little PvP instead of just cloths and items. Not sure what can be done, only Rarebit can answer that?

If you are interested we could work on something together?

/GF

I was thinking more along the lines of the dev's doing it if its possible with their current system. It will be alot of work for a player to do every month because it will include names not on the current top 100. we would need to go around and get everyone's cq's manually. it will take ages and will be flawed. the only way is with an automated system like whatever the devs are using to spit out the top 100.

That's a pretty good idea.  As the population drops, we're seeing less and less of the top rated PvPers around and, while they do have impressive CQ totals, they'll be stuck at the same numbers clogging up the charts.  If someone just gets into PvP now they may never even crack the top 100 no matter how fast they rack up the CQs, and that's a shame seeing as how a spot they could be in is taken up by an inactive account/player.

Yeah there is alot of inactive players on that list. They have proven themselves so its not like i want them ousted cause they are inactive but if the monthly 25 list isnt possible maybe the devs can simple remove the inactive players to allow for active ppl with lower cq to get on the list? Or make it a seperate list all together so that the inactives are given the due credit aswell.

I wonder if Rarebit can go down to 500 cq's to start with or less? I don't how he makes that list, but an upgraded list with what you suggest could be awesome. One other thing, peope who don't play now sometimes comes back tho, so there have to be find a way to get them back on the list??

Closing in on 9k  Only 50 odd more kills. Akaney closing in on the 10k, w00t.

Over on Syntax my char has got up to 350. The PvP does seem alright, fast, furious and easy but theres just not that umft there.

One of the best things about vector is the random times. Just hardlining about or whatever and you stroll across 2 or 3 50's, always some fun to follow (most rememberal time for me, walking into a bar at Moriah E, 2 reds. Bruce i ain't in the mood. He stands and attacks with no evade, pow, bar brawl. Nothing like that on non hostile severs) But also, the pvp seems more meaningful/tactical. I can pick up some easy as kills on syntax but on vector, i wouldn't get the chance. Because its easier, it isn't better (which is all i'v been hearing from syntaxians.)

Last night i was on, watching, while doing what i log on syntax for  After i had finished i went to pvp (but luckily i saw a FM log on over on vector) so jumped over. The 5 mins pvp i had there (as hacker lol) was fun as anything (fair enough it was against Broin but meh.)

Over on Vector, there is so much more area covered (some tactical i.e. pulling people outta the zerg, or people just generally running for their lifes (that last point, a runner = a win)) Theres also running to other hardlines (zions do this alot lol) Wipe them out at C, charge to W (btw that area at W is a cool spot to pvp.) But yeah, Mara is old lol but over on Vector, there is more chance to create pvp elsewhere (especially new content, how yous missed out in the commando halls.)

Sorry about my rant  Had a 50 on syntax for a month or 2 now and just meh, hearing all this 'Vector PvP is crap', 'Vectorites are the real carebears' (that one cracks me up lol) has just made me needed to post my view on pvp, diff servers. (plus i'm just in at work, work pfft)

I try and encourage others that enjoy pvp to come over and lvl up, and i just hope many of yous do. In order to pvp, you can't just flag when you want, thats underhanded and cheap (one trick i have been seeing is attack then log out/back in, wth. You either want to pvp or not lol)

Is that a recruitment post for Vector?..please stop.

lol no, just my view on pvp from playing on a pvp server for 3 years then testing out pvp on a non hostile pvp server. Yeah it would be nice for new faces that know how to play (without the need of alt buffer/recalls lol)

As i mentioned in my post, i just hit 50 over on syntax about a month or 2 ago. Yes i'm impressed (at times) with the numbers but numbers mean nothing if i can stand next to someone without an evade, smg off balance, il, tomo. I coulda got a good 30 cqs last night in a short space of time if i wanted, to easy though.

Why you keeping post about it then? If you don't like the Syntax PvP then just stay away...very simple. Don't need to post in here, becaurse this thread is not about you'r opinion of pvp on the servers, this is a thread about the 100 CQ leaderboard. I suggest you move your thread and idea's out in The General Discussion forum instead and stop crying about how bad PvP is on the other servers and why Vector is the one and only server. Get over it dude.

I made that post in the nicest possible way i could... coulda been alot harsher lol

I was just posting about a couple of my experiences since i'm hittin a milestone (1k away from 10k) and i have just recently lvld a char on a non hostile server.

I never cried about non hostile pvp, i actually kinda enjoy it. Wasn't ment to hurt you e-feelings about server pride... lol

Your entitled to your opinions Bruce the problem here is that this thread is about discussing the Top 100 cq lists not the differences between pvp on two servers. Just posted it in the wrong place dude thats all.
