General Note
The External Playtest server is a test environment, which means it could be taken offline at any time. Please do not send customer service tickets in if the servers suddenly go offline—we’ll do our best to warn everyone ahead of time, but won’t always be able to do so.
EP Server Behavior
The EP server is open to the public to assist our testing of new features. Note that this doesn’t mean you’re not supposed to play on the server; some of the slipperiest issues only appear under normal player behavior. All we ask is that, if you encounter a potential bug while playing on the EP server, that you take the time to report the issue using the /bug command in game.
For the most part, only bug tickets will be collected from the External Playtest server. The one exception is harassment reports: Anyone caught harassing other players while on the EP server will be treated the same as if they did so in the live game. Those players may be temporarily or permanently removed from the EP server and may also have action taken against their live accounts.
Reporting Bugs
When reporting a bug on the External Playtest server, please use the following guidelines:
- Make sure your ticket is marked Bug and not Ticket.
- Begin the title of the ticket with CR2.0: to help the QA team sort the bugs.
To simplify things, here is a basic template for reporting bugs on the EP server:
<Delete all text in Red before submitting issue using the /bug function in game.>
Title: <What is issue to be reported>
Steps: <As exact step to reproduce the issue as possible>
1.
2.
3.
<Add more steps if necessary>
Actual behavior:
<what you see happening in the game.>
Times Attempted: <The number of times the issues was attempted to be reproduced>
Attempts Succeeded: <The number of attempts that succeeded in reproducing the issue>
Notes:
<Any additional information not covered above.>

Copying Characters from the Live Servers to the EP Server
To copy a character from the Live game to the EP server, do the following:
If the copy command is successful, you'll see a confirmation in the Chat window.
Rules for Copying Characters
Please keep the following in mind when copying characters from the Live game to the EP server:
-
You may only copy one character every 24 hours.
-
If you have a new account, it will take at least 24 hours for your account information to be copied over to the EP server.
-
All character data is copied over, although some things like Abilities or Enhanced items may not work correctly at this time.
-
You have three character slots on the EP server. Each time you copy a character from the Live game, it takes one of your character slots.
-
If you don't have a free character slot when you copy a character, your oldest character on the EP server will be replaced. If you want to replace a different character, make sure you delete that character before copying a new one over.
-
If you copy a character to the EP server that already exists there, that EP character will be replaced with the current data from the Live server.
-
Your EP server characters are completely separate from your Live characters. Any changes made on the EP server will not affect your Live character in any way. Changes to your Live character will only affect your EP server character if you copy the Live character over again.
