Before changing your drivers, make sure that your card is supported for our game, and that you have the most up-to-date drivers for it. You may find Supported Cards and Drivers information using the links below:

Once you have downloaded the newest drivers to a location you will remember (such as the Desktop), you need to remove your current drivers.

Before installing new Video drivers, regardless of Make, Manufacturer, or Model # of card, you should always uninstall the drivers you are using currently before updating to the new drivers. Click on Start, click on Settings, click on Control Panel, and then click on Add/Remove programs (for Vista, it's Start, then Control Panel, and either Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features). Your Video card drivers should be listed, and this is where you should uninstall them (just click on the driver and click the Change/Remove button)

You might want to take the 8000 series nvidia cards off that list. They don't really work with this game.

Allright i just downgraded my drivers to the recommended 100.65 for my 7600GT running Vista 32 bits.  Hope it makes a difference from the 162.22 version.

Edited : SMILEY still having same texture issues as before....

On a side-tangent...I have a laptop with the most accursed of nVidia Cards, the geForce 440.  I found that recklessly throwing away nVidia's drivers and installing Omega Drivers fixed a lot of the annoying compatibility problems that cropped up (with other games...MxO very quickly patched itself out from under me and became 100% incompatible with my card).

If you're really desperate and driver downgrades don't help...you might find that helpful. ^_^

the 440 is not compatible with MxO and the Omega Drivers for the early nVidia cards cause more troubles than not.

Also if you are running MxO under Vista you should turn off anti-alias, as that seems to cause most of the problems.

I don't condone using beta or hacked drivers, but sometimes when the manufacture turns their backs on older cards, or doesn't release any new drivers such as in the case of Vista because it'd be a total re-write for them, and they don't want to spend the time on doing this for old cards.....Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do.  I've found quite a lot of helpful drivers over at www.guru3d.com . Check out their downloads section if you're stuck and can't get any lovin' from the OEM.

The 440 was compatible with MxO...briefly.  That was my point, but Paige6 perhaps worded it better:  if you're not feeling the love from the manufacturer, and you're desperate, you can try 3rd-party drivers.  The worst that happens is you go running for the Rollback Drivers button.

Yes in the very least the 8800 needs to be noted as being incompatible with MxO.  The prices on 7900s and 7950s are dropping fast... you might want to consider a hardware downgrade.

Yes I have upgraded my video driver with no success...I have been having very serious issues with video cards and this game. ATI logo comes up when ur logging in and I am confused because I thought since ATI's logo is coming up that there wouldn't be any compatibilty issues what so ever. I have changed theresolution in game out of game I have changed ram usage and such and still have the same problems. The new video card that I purchased was the ATI RADEON VISIONTEK X1650 PRO, which is supposed to be a gaming video card. I can't even enjoy the game because of all the crashing and when I say crashing that is exactly what I mean... I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling, resetting the driver, Direct x9 diagonistics, reinstalling the game, playing with Catalyst Control system anti-aliasing and tech support from various areas...exactly what is the problem in connection with these video cards???

Have you got a power supply that can handle your video card, i think that the X1650 Pro needs at least a 300watt, usually standard p/s are 250watt. That may be the problem, but im no expert.

Yes, power supply is sufficient.

Ty

In game should the anti-alias be checked....because it wasn't checked in my settings..so I checked in order to support the anti-alias in catalyst.

Hey Cookie1017,

I'd start a new thread explaining the exact problem and post your system info as requested in the thread stickied at the top of the forum (Please Read before posting) and then someone will take a look and see if there's something in your system that's causing the problem. SMILEY
