Hey all, we have changed how the world's region servers are carving up the different districts for some internal reasons. However I would most definately I like some players hitting downtown to see if we can get our problem to show up so we can observe the server behaviors on each of the world instances.

A note here, all previously made maps for the Lag areas of Downtown will no longer be accurate if the problem is still present (more than likely).

Thanks everyone.

Just means we have to try to break it again to see if the problems been fixed.  Only this time we dont know which districts will lag with the changes they made so run around all of downtown, kill mobs, run some missions and invite your friends.

Lag seems to go up during long distance hyperjumps. Thus far, the overall lag appears to be less, but it's too soon to make a judgement.

I've tested interlocking, freefiring, looting, commands, using the hardline, opening doors, using elevators, and hyperjumping around every DT hardline. I haven't gotten any of the usual DT latency or lag.

Me neither. Park East is usually a no-go zone for me but not anymore it seems. Hampton was also lagless.

The lag has kicked in on Syntax. Nothing on Recursion or Vector yet.

The lag zone boundaries have moved due to the server redistribution. Thought I should show it so people know what to watch out for when it kicks in. Apologies to Darun for mangling his lovely map.

Blue = old lag zone

Red = new lag zone

The yellow dot is the world origin (position 0, 0, 0). Probably not a coincidence that it has been in both lag zones. Also nice how the zones have centered around Hel. =P

Noooooo! You moved the lag zone over my hang-out spot on the Chelsea Bridge! You monsters!! /cry

;) Uh, anyway, did this little test help you figure anything out?

And why does it look like it's twice as big as the old one? O_o You really broke it this time!

I hope that we were able to help tonight, 9mm. If you need any more help, you know how to contact us.

Seems the event on Vector did not adversely "break" the servers and cause the lag, yet. Farming earlier on Recursion in Baldwin Heights was very easy, as there was no lag. It sure would have been a pain otherwise. SMILEY

Meh, my favorite theory right now is that it's lost mission NPCs trying to path to the world origin. Unlike Slums and International, in Downtown, the world origin point is inaccessible.

I'm worried about Seraph now, some of that lag is in the aqueduct :ppp

   Probably because a lot of the new region servers are utterly huge, judging from current /who ranges.

   I mean Apollyon, Camon Heights, and Kedemoth have the same /who range?  That's massive.
