As far as I'm aware Section 9 played a neutral faction... at least up until their affiliation with the Merv.

We formed as Merv, then we went Independant as the Merv went against our beliefs and then some people couldn't grasp the fact we were independant faction with Merv rep (as per the games mechanics), so we thought 'bugger it' and we all grinded our Merv rep to Zion and since have gained good ties *with* Zion. Yeah, we are Zion Aligned though none of our members PVP while IC SMILEY

But we have gone a little off topic here, back to the old birds funeral ^^

We all know the programs inability to stay dead (Agent Pace and Agent Gray are two that have gotten huge slaps and come back fine soon after) so I think the funeral was a little hastey.

((theres no reason why he'd know me ic then right? So what if i changed my angle in the game. What suites me RP wise is to be Merv now. Everything i said at this event was IC and was my characters feelings... why this has now gone ooc i dont know but people change orgs all the time. As for the Oracle being dead.. Criinge is indifferent to that.. what she has enjoyed is watching zion seeming apparently totally lost with noone to tell them what to do now. K now can i go back to being IC?))

Eh, I pay my respects to the womans talents in predicting many variables to a given situation.

Although I found her to be most.. intriguing, it is a shame she has passed in such a.. quick way. I mean if I could have at least had her subdued and observed for some odd years so I could see the code decay and note down its rates I am sure she would have served a better purpo...

Oh look at me rambling.

The old woman is dead because she didn't want to become a crutch, she wanted to give us humans, or rather certain organizations a sense of self-reliance as opposed to always scurrying to her when the matrix is in trouble.

Now the matrix is in trouble and the blood enemies must work together, and let me just say it is Oh so cute to watch the childer squabble in the sandbox. But if it gets a stitch close to removing me from my existence, we may need to intercede and remove the neccessary items from the squabbling parties.

(( I have to say Criinge was RP the whole time. Everything was IC. LilTwie was very behaved as well. However there were others during and after that was uncalled for. I am not getting into an argument or pointing fingers or he said/she said. Just how I feel. ))

Nope, I will never become a Merv. Besides, I've already joined another Zion faction. If you knew what was going on on your own server, then you might know that.

Hm. A pity I missed this, even if I would've been kind of outnumbered.

The Oracle was a woman who, although cryptically, went out of her way to help everyone, regardless of alignment or background; something I think we would all find hard to do. And, although the circumstances surrounding her death are still suspect, I will nevertheless mourn her loss.

I've been too busy trying to implement these new ideas for new recruits... It's the "now get on your knees" part that's proving to the sticking point...
