Just a few coder, hopes and dreams.

would be nice if sims would zone with us ie through Hardlines.

how about a recall sim that would help alot

sims need to show at least on the ownes map, atlas if not the whole team (lvls of hacker map for team maybe but must have for the coder)

allow coders to make items that cant be found (an ability maybe) like .... storage containers  that make 1 space into 10 to hold your cake , masks  weaps, etc. Perhaps some clickable items with upgrades  or enhanments or even some with fluff effects.  or other buff type interfaces that only coders can make and dare i say sell?

Ok the code bank is a mess i need to be able to type the name of item i want to code and see an interface with sortable items such as class, lvl, enhancments, upgrades, damage reductions etc it taks me lots of time to find the right gear and with the new system that gear will be worthless in a few lvls

coders can make gear and weaps to equip thier sims and them selves maybe these fade when you log out a set period of time

sims camp with you and there when you return  for a set period of time like when you get booetd in pvp or a mish

we need a better market PLEASE a market place maybe  i tried to set up shop in a clothes shop but could not rent a bill board to advertise so i had to close the doors SMILEY wink wink nudge nudge say no more)  btw i havent slept in a long time im not spell checking this thanks

ok ill stop i love  being a coder weaker combat class or not but help please make it a more marketable class

I have recently started experimenting with the coder tree and I have found it to be very good.

All those ideas are great, freejack.

"...would be nice if sims would zone with us ie through Hardlines."

That would be an extremely helpful feature as jumping down from rooftops or onto bridges your sim gets lost which can sometimes be rather irratating. The recall button you mentioned could be used to call the sim you have left elsewhere so you can use them in emergencies without having to create them- say, in a combat situation.

"...coders can make gear and weaps to equip thier sims and them selves"

Being able to give your sim custom weapons and clothing would be awesome. Mabye have the items included in their buff bar as if you have granted them a buff. The higher the level of the weapon or clothing item, then the more space it would take up in the buffer.

"allow coders to make items that cant be found (an ability maybe) like .... storage containers that make 1 space into 10 to hold your cake , masks weaps, etc"

That would also be great. I have seen posts around the place where people have requested memory stick items which can hold a certain number of items in themselves. Having these items exclusively for the coders to make would mean they could sell them through the marketplace.

Things I'd like? Hyperjumping sims. A 'recall' sim button. A way to see
where the hell my sim is on the map. To be able to sgive my sim things
to wear. To be able to set my sims loadout the way I want.

Likelyhood of it happening? Nill SMILEY

Ok and just 1 more and every coder will agree the ability to link my items i can make so the purchaser can see it and i dont have to type the stats etc taking forever to make a few $i  heheh  but its true.

the ability to link items in general w/out opening a trade window would be awsome

I think this has'nt been done because of the inventory and item system =/

Making that bloody thing searchable would be a blessing to all...

We definately need to be able to customize our sims, personally I would like to see sims that we can adjust the LO on, give items to, etc. However to create the sim when needed for combat costs alot of IS and code bits ! However I do beleive HCFrog said once that this would make coder unbalanced... Personally I think that can be fixed if you cap how bad *CENSORED* you can make your sim.

You mean while you are afk, or when you crash?

Sure, this is an older thread but none the less pertinent.  Just because there are so few proxy and utiltiy masters by comparison to the other trees doesn't mean we should be neglected!

There are some awesome ideas up above that need serious consideration to make the coder tree more consistent with other trees.  Simulacra are very difficult to bring into a pvp situation since they require so much time and so much IS to code up.  It is absolutely imperative, therefore, that measures be taken to keep our simulacra with us once they are created.  Allow them to follow us through hardlines and jump over trash cans!

Since the last update, Patch Daemons are able to dish out upgrades to people.  While I absolutely love this addition and I think it's a step in the right direction, I think most will agree, the Patch Daemon remains fairly useless for one big reason: We can't control who and when it buffs or heals!  If the AI can't be improved, then we need to be given control! Who, what, and when.  As it is now, Patch Daemons buff when they should be healing, and heal or buff the wrong person 95% of the time.  If there was a kung fu ability that constantly caused damage to somebody two neighborhoods over instead of the person you were interlocked with the devs would have it fixed in a heartbeat!

Hey! Over here! Yes, full time Proxy and Utiltiy Masters do exist.  We're not some theory or a "gee woldn't it be nice if somebody used that coder tree we created..." so please don't neglect us!

Personally, I don't really much care about your sim Hyper Jumping or going thru an HL or jumping over objects as I could just make another one.  However, the AI of the sim is just so stupid, he'll heal/buff enemies you don't want healed or buffed.  All I'm saying is that there should be much more control over your sim, especially for the patcher Daemon.  I don't want it buffing people I don't want it to buff, and I also want certain buffs, not just one's randomly thrown onto me by the Daemon.  I believe we should be able to choose who it buffs and what buffs that Patch Daemon wil use.  Yes, I know the Utility daemons aren't meant for IL, but it would be extremely helpful if you have low health, roll out and used that Sim to IL your opponent so you could get away and possibley regain some heath (So what?  Free Fire and IL buttons?).  Also, when you have low health, a lot of the time they won't actually try to heal you, maybe control over that too?

Right now i'm a spy.  I love MKT and Master Assassin.  However if the Coder tree was looked at and fixed to where you could have more control over your sim, i'd switch over to the coder tree in a heartbeat.

The only reason I mention jumping over small obstacles and following us through hardlines is because of PvP.  It seems the coder tree was created with little regard to PvP battles.  If you're chasing down somebody and they leap over a trash can, your simulacrum can't follow you.  Then, while you code up a new one your opponent can simply wait, knowing you'll have next to no IS left with which to fight afterwards.  I realize this is probably a difficult thing to make an NPC do, otherwise they'd have made mission NPCs do it long ago.

By far, though, control is more important.  One simple change that I think could be implemented very quickly would mean a vast improvement in the current system.  I mentioned before the need for a "PAUSE" button.  In fact, we already have one, it just doesn't work right.  Patch Daemons, unlike the other Simulacra types, when put into "passive" mode do not become passive.  They continue to buff people!  This is extremely annoying in situations when you are preparing for combat (duels or pvp) and you don't want your Daemon to be buffing and healing your opponent(s).  Until more extensive controls can be added, I'll take a properly functioning passive button in a heartbeat.

Being able to control heals, buffs, and specials would be a huge improvement. I would also like to see patch daemons given the ability to buff people with one of the firewalls. I might have seen one give someone a fast heal, but I don't recall. Having an option to track your team's sim would be another beneficial feature.  Concerning maneuvering around trashcans and other obsiticles, they should be moved to allow NPCs to go between/around them easier.  I would also like the bald male sim to be removed from being made.

Id love to see any of those ideas! If you play CoV, you'll notice that you can spawn npcs that jump after you! That's what I want to see! SMILEY Likewise, memory sticks, and recall sim =D

I'd love to be able to control a sim through a normal characters eyes, it would mean that obviously the sims would have to be scaled down a little and it would take ages to code them but it would be sooooooooooo!!!!! coool if u could do that
