I call it "Archival Science in a Post-War Simulation".  It contains transcripts that I've collected over time.  Before you head over there to check it out, I'd like to point out two things ...

   (1. This is my first web site.  Visually, it's very barren and contains mostly text, since I'm currently more interested in the informational value of the site.  Plus it could contain mistakes or glitches.  If you see anything wrong, feel free to inform me.  Please be gentle with me and don't yell at me for any HTML mistakes, bad web hosting choices, etc. I've made.  I know I'm a website noob. SMILEY

   (2. Currently I'm up to chapter 2.3, along with transcripts of loot documents, and transcripts that I'm currently unsure of on the subject of their placement in the overall scheme of things.  Very few of the ones currently on the site are mine.  I only copied them because I didn't want to see them lost if the sites they were originally on went down (and some of them have).

I am not trying to take any credit for them.  In fact, I have credited those who made the transcripts (or at least the ones that I know of) along with the ones I've made.  If you have any problems with this, feel free to contact me about it.  But let's keep it civil.  I mean no harm, and I'm just trying to make another MxO storyline site.

Please read the FAQ and feel free to send me any coments, criticism, suggestions, etc.  And if you choose to, I would appreciate any transcripts you'd like to donate.

*deep breath* Okay, here you will witness my wobbly first steps into the world wide web.

Edit: The link now goes to the new location.

your right very texty but still texy can be a good think.

One question these two documents...

Recorded Conversation between two Agents
First Agent: They want to awaken others.
Second Agent: It is the agreement.
First Agent: With time, the Matrix will be stressed. It could fail.
Second Agent: A system of control is needed. One moment... A decision has been made: Do not interfere with the masked humans.
First Agent: Acknowledged

Recorded conversation between an Agent and another voice
Voice: Tell me about Morpheus and how big a problem he presents.
Agent: He is what humans call a fanatic. His mind is fixed on a goal despite all risks and hardship.
Voice: What goal?
Agent: He believes, as humans often do, in a special quality, a sanctity, of the rotting remains of a human body. He demands the return of the corpse... of the one known as Neo.
Voice: You know that's impossible.
Agent: Of course, but he is sowing dissent.
Voice: It will fade.
Agent: He is posing questions: Is Neo really dead? Is he imprisoned? Is he back in the Matrix in a new body, possibly with impaired memory? For obvious reasons these seem plausible to the humans.
Voice: For obvious reasons.
Agent: Some have even guessed that Neo's new persona... is female.
Voice: This is not good. Find out what he plans to do. Disruptions are a violation of the truce.
Agent: It will be done

... do you have any sceenies of them in live?

I don't think so.  But I have heard audio versions of those (the last line in the second document should say "It will be done, Architect", but it wasn't in the transcript I found, so either the transcript is wrong, or that part is left out of the document).

I'm guessing they can be found in a mission somewhere, since live event documents don't have audio.

Edit: I'm currently experiencing some errors in the transcripts.  Some of them are missing a final line or two.  I'm currently working on fixing this.

   Second Edit: *hides the chisel and hammer* Fixed, I think. ^^;

Great idea. Though, i'm 99% certain that there were no events during 2.2; I joined shortly after that patch went live, and there were rumors that live events had been cancelled, and no mention of any events untill death of the destroyer in 2.3

Yeah.  That has more to do with my weird view that Double Cross took place in 2.2.  It's just my odd viewpoint. *shrugs*

I used to have those documents, my memory serves to say that they are in fact accurate.

I would like to say also that I really like this, because it is just the raw information.  People can look at it and decide for themselves what to believe.

Yep.  Which is why I'd prefer transcripts over some of the fanfic-like text I have from the old Megacity Times website (not to be confused with the current Sentinel-like website, I believe the two are unrelated ... well, except for the fact that they're both MxO sites).  No offense to Megacity Times or anyone who writes stuff like that.

I believe I tried that and didn't do so well. ^^;;;  I do put the LE and LESIG character text in bold in order to help people read their dialogue in transcripts that have a ton of text (and I'd probably still have to do it even if I used the log format page).  And as Zane pointed out, the raw data is nice.

I may give the log format page another shot some day.

Fair enough. SMILEY But I'm not sure what you mean by 'raw data' - the log formatter doesn't lose anything unless you tell it to get rid of certain chat channels.

Oh, and although all names are made bold in the log formatter, you can assign colours to LE/SIG characters instead.

When you say 'didn't do so well', do you mean you didn't like the output, or was there actually a bug?

I don't think so.  I think it had more to do with the way I save transcripts.  I want them like this ...

T
R
A
N
S
C
R
I
P
T

   ... and when I paste them onto the log format page, they end up bunched together, making a big mass of text.  In fact, in order to put them on the web page, I had to add a ton of line breaks, or they'd be less of a transcript and more of a giant paragraph. ^^;;;

Ah-hah! Aren't your transcripts taken from actual log files (chat.log in your installation's profile directory)? My log formatter only accepts text from the proper log files. SMILEY

Well, currently none of them are from my chat.log file.  The only transcript on the site that is mine is my Insecticide e-mail, which wasn't in my chat.log file.  I copied the transcripts off of web sites and onto .txt files, which I later put on .html files to put on the web site.

However, I just tried playing with the log formatter and produced a normal transcript with it, so it can be done.  Just let me play with it for a bit and maybe I'll come up with something.

Edit: Hrm.  It comes out normal, I copy and paste the result onto an .html file, but I get this. O_o

   Edit 2: Link removed.

Oops. I forgot that the formatter only outputs for forums, which automatically add line breaks. SMILEY

I've updated it. If you try again and tick the box marked 'Add line breaks', it'll add the HTML to break the logs into lines, so they'll look proper on a Web page.
