Hyper Jumping in Reverse, how to Repro

Step 1: Hyperjump, you may either do a targeted jump or a mario jump (ctrl-space)
Step 2: At any point in your jump, press ctrl-space (or whatever you have your mario jump bound to) and you will stop moving forward
Step 3: Continue to press ctrl-space and you will move backwards in the air until you have either run out of air space or returned to your original starting position.

Results: Anyone following you on the ground, unless they have some ungodly graphics settings that allow you not to dissappear when you've hyperjumped will "see" or "face" where the system thought you were going.

As for the Hyper Jump thing, it ain't really an issue to me.

No I didn't go off on you at all. However I did go off on Rarebit because I don't respect his decisions in this regard because I feel he does not have the authority to make decisions which affect player vs player combat because I feel that he has inadequate experience in the area of player vs player combat. Luckily there are people in the community who do have experience in player vs player combat, such as Aquatium, who can help bridge the gap between the community and the devs.

Actually, I didn't until recently. And I've never seen it used on the field.

Thanks for the comment man SMILEY However warning saying that might bring out the bitter people cause my name was mentioned... oh wait it did.

If the trails can show this being done (which I hope) then expect anyone caught doing it to get CCR'd.

problem with the trails leading to a CCR is that when you hold ctrl - space down and then release before you touch the ground, you will still jump back abit which may be shown on the trails leading to false CCR's.
