That was crazy awesome stuff. For some reason I keep thinking that Faraday is Jacob, now.
I was a little disappointed with Charlottes death. It feels like we have another libby and to a lesser extent now, Rousseau, on our hands with a wad of interesting but unexplained backstory.
On the subject of Rousseau, I wish we could have stayed with them a little longer because that was cool. Seeing Montand lose his arm and then Rousseau kill her team. Were they really crazy? I have my doubts maybe they all were...One thing that points to the team being driven crazy or taken over by smokie in some way was the fact Robert had no idea what smokie was until the flash and Rousseau had him at gunpoint at which point he said it was a security system for the temple, he either figured that out himself or through other means...
The Christian-Locke scenes were awesome.
Much more awesomeness aswell, it really was a good episode.

Agreed. (if she is dead) No idea if they were rushed with the episode or something or if she's not actualy dead but her death seemed way way too quick for my liking, just like Jin when he got exploded on the boat. LOST takes its time when people really die, and heck even when they don't. (charlie hanging from the tree anyone?)

Meh, she wasn't really fledged out over a few series though was she? So there's no real point in basing a whole episode about her death or anything, either that or she's not really dead D:

Yeah thats possible, but most deaths are pretty emotional on LOST, to the main characters anyway, but it wasn't really that great.
Well she's not gone forever, I'm sure. We'll get to see her again when Daniel tells her not to come to the island or she'll die - which won't change anything, but perhaps there will be more emotions when that comes.
And I always thought Rousseau went insane and killed her team but now I'm thinking they really were possessed.
Has anyone played Myst? Supposedly it's a game that LOST has drawn many influences from. From what I'm reading it seems that way, anyway, but I'm wondering if it's worth playing? Sounds interesting but probably won't play on vista knowing my luck, despite it being remade. ~_~
Loved the last episode, lots of Cerberus and island's-ancient-civilisation stuff. Couldn't believe it when the scene cut to a ruined temple suddenly like that, presumably with one of the few (almost) structurally intact 'Cerberus vents' left.
Myst is great, but the series as a whole is better. Awesome scenery, clever puzzles, compelling story and a great soundtrack (later games had music composed by Jack Wall, who did the Mass Effect soundtrack). I'd recommend it, but I don't see much of a connexion to Lost. The games tend to have a lot of islands in them and maybe they have a similar atmosphere, but the plots are completely different.
In regards to the similarities, I was reading this page: http://lostpedia.wikia.com/wiki/Myst
The game sounded like it might be right up your alley, Proc. Glad to see you didn't disappoint
I'm wondering how difficult some of them will be to pick up, the PsP version seems easy enough to get but I have a feeling I wouldn't enjoy this type of game on the PsP.

O rly?
The player is initially dropped from the sky into an unknown world.
Plane crash, check.
From a first-person point-of-view, the player explores the mysterious backstory
Third person, characters explore, check.
while interacting with various types of environmental puzzles.
Other Survivors are the puzzles, check.
Often the player comes upon locations, now abandoned, which may have been the home or studio of someone who is no longer present.
Lots of these present.
The background of the series deals with the fictional D'ni civilization, a race of people
Others.
who possessed the ability to craft "links", in the form of books, to other universes called "Ages".
Time travel.
This serves as the plot foundation for the travel between worlds in the games.
Time travel has been a hinted factor in LOST since the early seasons. Don't believe me?
Season 2, Episode 13, Hurley and Sayid set up the 2 way radio Bernard found in the Arrow station with a bigger antenna to see if they could pick up anything...
HURLEY: Hold it, stop! Do you hear that!
RADIO ANNOUNCER: [with spotty reception] That was the old classic "Just A-Sittin' and A-Rockin'" by Duke Ellington and his Orchestra, featuring Cootie Williams on the trumpet. Up next on WXR, the Glenn Miller Orchestra with "Moonlight Serenade".
[The song begins to play with good reception]
HURLEY: Whoa, you hear how clear that is? It's got to be close, right?
SAYID: Radio waves at this frequency bounce off the ionosphere. They can travel thousands of miles. It could be coming from anywhere.
HURLEY: Or, anytime. (beat) Just kidding, dude.
Hurley may have been kidding, but the writers were not.
Nah, I think some of those elements are too generic to be counted, and some are a bit of a stretch. The D'ni ages are a far cry from mere time periods.
Yeah, but we're talking about influences and ideas that LOST got from the series. I don't think it would be right to say they ripped them straight from MYST and plopped them into their own story.
Time periods and D'ni ages are similar topics and are a general link. We're not looking for exact matches here.
Holy. Sh!t.
Epic.
Very cool episode. Now the question is, who made it and who didnt?
