Well I looked at this game and about bought it atleast 10 times. I've been playing MMo's for about 10 years now. I have tried them all. Some for too long (EQ1 for 7 years). My wife never was interested in Matrix ...so we never tried it. I wanted to but I always play with her when it comes to MMO's. Well until now. Shes in love with DDO..and I just can't get into it. I really want to give this game a try thou. To be honest...I'm having a little trouble figuring out this game. I've played around for about 2 hours around the newbie area and never seen anyone. Coming into this game after 2 years seems kinda lonely to start heh.
Was curious if there was anyone out there that could kinda help me out a little. I'm not looking for money or items. I've learned that I just don't have it in me to grind for 18 hours a day like I used too. I'm looking to understand the game..kinda a more in depth tutorial. I just don't want to do something that could kinda cripple my character later. Like put the wrong things into ability points or what not. This game isn't like any other that ive played. Kinda reminds me of SWG with the skill system and fighting system..but other then that atm..I'm pretty confused.
Im not sure about joining a faction. I'd like to meet some of the people first and understand the game before joining the first faction that sends me a tell. I take joining factions (..so used to saying guild) serious..and don't want to commit unless I know it would be a good fit for both parties. If anyone out there wouldn't mind giving me a crash course on what to do please send me a tell. I play around 5pm eastern time during the weekdays and normally can play anyime on weekends.
