If you can e-mail non-tradable items to yourself, why not alts within your account?
If it's possible, I'd like to see this happen.
I guess it's probably to stop you as a level 50 easily getting something for a lower level character. Although I'm a bit out of touch on what is and isn't emailable these days, such as some PB stuff that used to be emailable no longer is as far as can see.
But if it's just for storage, as long as the emails don't get deleted, isn't emailing the item to yourself sufficient?

Even though I've never had any issues with the email system, it is not covered by the CSR's and therefore if something should dissappear, it's gone forever. I won't trust a few items to the email system just due to rarity.
And these days anything worth farming is tradeable anyway, so it's mainly for storage's sake.
While SoE and the Dev's are most likely able to tell whos account a character belongs to, I have my doubts that the e-mail system can do the same, unfortunately.
I would settle for Singleton items to remain non-e-mail-able (if they still are, I believe they still are). PB items are singletons are I keep them in the case I want to re-run PB arcs.

I gotta disagree there V. I actually wish the singleton items were email-able to yourself. I have PB4 items and some other memoirs (anniversary tickets, ect) that I cannot store in email. However I want to keep them, so they take up almost an entire page of my inventory.

I'm willing to compromise there, too. Singleton items could be made to be e-mail-able to the same rsi for storage purposes and Non-tradable items e-mail-able to RSI's within the same account.
Now if I were just in charge...
If they could make the system that checks a characters inventory for singleton items before placing a singleton in it, check a character's e-mails too then e-mailing a singleton to yourself should be available. That is probably the reason why you can't e-mail it to yourself. It's a singleton, you should only have one on you at any one time, if you could e-mail it to yourself and the system doesn't check your e-mails, then you'll get duplicates.
then remove the singleton status from some items and make them non tradable to other players. Im not saying like PB items. Im talking like holiday tickets and stuff. Sure it will (probably) never be usuable again, but I like keeping em just for sentimental value. Or the green/red holiday hats for snowball fights, whats the purpose of those being singleton items?
Or the green/red holiday hats for snowball fights, whats the purpose of those being singleton items? IIRC, it's because when it degrades you lose the fight and are then forced to obtain a new one before you can continue fighting.
