If your problem is with their existence in the real, i can see your point, especially since all recorded sightings and unexplainable acts within the "real" are explained as glitches within the system, that means theres no real evidence or things like that in the real becuase its all the matrix or nothing.

Do i have a problem with vampires in the real? No not really. RP speaking im annoyed at this cliched idea, but i don't have a true problem with them.

What goth has done with the current storyline in regards to the cure is quite stupid. It is annoying to have all that work done for nothing, especially since if it's got to be undone it's done over something debatebly impossible, out of context or just wrong.

That being said, it's stupid but it's still playable, and it's still acceptable at least for me. I mean there are tons of mysteries in the world that are unexplained. The milk drinking statues of Ganeesh come to my mind, but in any case, who knows, the world is a strange and complicated place, one might just consider themselves a vampire in real life. And if they think they are one, their conception of who they are in the matrix is that no?

Theoretically: If someone is insane and thinks (knows) they are the messiah or thinks (knows) they are actually a mutant monster of somekind, then thats what they would be while jacked in no?

The residual self image is the mental understanding and representation of who you are.

As for the infection, if everything is in ones mind, when your bit or infected as it were, and you know you should be, doesn't your mind make it real? Thats how damage and pain work in the matrix, your brain makes it real. Thats why the rules of the matrix are unlimited as we all seem to agree, this is why i don't think anyone should be complaining about infection. Not to mention, if were speaking in terms of a virus, anything can be encoded to transmit one, even coded fangs.

As for pushing the envelope or burning it, sometimes you need to burn it to push it, i don't like to see the same cliched bull**bleep** run over and over again, but it's better than nothing. And im certainly not going to trash it unless i can come up with something better.

No offense return, becuase i respect your character, i love your writing and i like the way you present yourself, but you need to lay off gothique about plot holes, especially since you've just managed to walk away from blowing your own head off.

If your justification is explanation, than Gothique is clear, the thing is, you just don't wanna accept her explanation, which makes it more personal than general. Once again however, i mean no disrespect, i just don't like to see anyone get flamed for trying to do something for the benefit of the community.

When it comes to RP, i have come to take the standpoint of:

Put up or shut up, obviously if its this far in, its still going to happen, and if you ask me whats worse than gothiques reason for still being a vampire? It would be pretending none of this happened and trying to go back in time like this week or month never happened.

What annoys me, is that you made this post as a critique of gothiques event or vampire related event but you made it seem like it was a plain public matter, i think thats kind of lame in all honesty. And i wouldn't say this were it not for the fact that your follow up posts have all be against/about her. Apologies if this offends you, as im merely bringing up the fact, that people always have a problem with the storyline presented by who ever, so not much to do, but move on or accept it.

And as much as it's "impossible" to avoid these people, i dissagree, because it's easy to ignore the spammers, the nudists, the morons, the masses who don't RP but love to **bleep** it up. The people running around saying they are neo or morpheus or etc. The pvp tools who don't do story only combat, the people who talk trash at level 8, refuse to duel and tell you they can kill you. The people who munchkin on a regular basis. The moronic noobs who speak from their bowels as though they know as much as the architecht or deus machina. And so on and so on.....

Since my /ccr situation is awkward at best i figured i'd make a post.

If your using a lot of enhanced gear as i know a lot of you are -i'd urge you to do a 'buff inventory' per say. Overlook the affects that you should be getting and what you actually are.

The other day well gearing myself in a new way i equipped a movement buffing hat aswell as my angelic footwear (both have movement speed enhancements.) While running hyperspeed however i noticed that it was only receving the HS movement boost and one of the two pieces of clothing's buff- i could switch it but never get them both.

This leads me to believe a great deal of affects can be overidden and overlooked and again my point is - i'd urge you people to take a look and send fourth notes to the higher ups or something. I know it works both ways what with clothing stacking and style stacking as it were - but all the same keep your eyes open.

I know a lot of inner mechanics of this game have been gussed up and made prettier but i'm starting to wonder if alot of it isn't so much better as it looks better, and a lot of the math behind the system when you get into it doesn't sync up too well either. I'm not bitching from my usual standpoint of opinion and theory that i could do a better job i'm just putting out there because it caught my eye. I've got it screenshotted to but i don't feel like looking for it at the moment.

In any case -if your down with CR2.0- make sure your paying attention.

After several instances i pieced together a theory over why this was happening.

While running a mission where in which a neccesarry item is dropped ie. a key, frag, disk etc. if your inventory is full you will not recieve the item instead it will be deleted causing an abrupt mission failure.

I do believe the cause of this is based on the luggable system - only items that are luggables can be dropped ergo this nothing items are deleted as opposed to the way they used to be dropped by NPC's when your inventory was full.

I don't know if perhaps it's something greater than that, but then it should be relatively easy to fix since it can use the same code or logic of decompiled frags dropping to the ground around your feet or at the very least of regular items that stay within the corpses inventory.

In either case it's just another note for us as players to make sure our inventories don't fill up - but when your grinding like crazy they tend to stack up while you just keep going.

I referenced your "suicide" return, and i was merely using it as an example. Im fully aware it was within the matrix cannon, but what bothered me none the less, was that the initial post was done in a third person perspective making it fact at the time. It wasn't a report or a statement from anyone, it was an accepted post from you, who was dead at the time so it was an epilogue as it were. Sure someone could say well she was never dead cause she posted it, but you know what i mean.

I believe you did have the intention of returning, in fact i knew you would becuase you like me and many others are addicted to this place. But the principle of the matter and idea behind you telling everyone your dead and then saying just kidding (whether its in the matrix cannon or not) still falls into this category. However i hold no bias or anger about your continued existence here, i like return personally. I just don't like to see gothique get flamed when shes at least doing an event.

And i agree, vampires don't exist in the real, but i still want to resupply the idea, that perhaps one Ms. Emma Steele as it were, is insanely dillusional to the point where she believes she is a vampire with the ability to corrupt and infect and feed. And belief is what makes it real. Like beliving you can fly, or stop bullets or jump inside someones RSI and blow them up.

I think Gothique could easily cover her *CENSORED* if anyone should really start to whine and **bleep** and moan about her being a real vampire, but even then, if theres a dispute why not just find her body and check it out. Makes for good RP, besides worse comes to worse, just kill her in the real, last time i checked, a decapitated vampire is a dead one.

I think some necesary benefits or alterations to the game could definately help build on its alreadyendless potential.

For starters, (im aware this doesn't help the game too much, but i want it.) Expanded code archive, seriously, mines full and i can't put anymore stuff in it, thats really, really dumb.

Secondly, everything in the matrix is code, so why is it we can't store certain items or even many physical items within the loading area/code locker or archive. -phrack and i discussed this just to give him the credit for this idea.

Why don't we just throw in some new constructs, i mean hell throw one together that has levels above 50 and whatnot so your boxes are good but you can have a whole new place to go. Or even have one that is accessible by all levels and just find a way to really take the world and run with it. I mean make it like a maze or giant mental test or even a twisted merrovingian construct. (example the one you run through while dealing with the merrovingian in path of neo.)

I think vehicles would still be a cool edition to the game, i know it wouldn't be easy, but there is something really apealing and cool about having faction vehicles driving around the city, hell having chases or anything. And of course you could just make them available for rediculous amounts of $i so only people pooling resources or ex-data miners, can get them.

There is such an amazing potention to take this game and run rediculously far with it, and make it one of the better MMORPG's out there.

6pm - 9pm im in game dealing with faction and org things ((liason grinding.)) it's fitting that in my time spent doing so few was accomplished event wise but when i have to leave, low and behold the flood gates break.

Oh well at least some of my sarcastic and bitter humor got to shine through above...... cause that makes it worth while.

The sky torn, the ground moist with the falling rain, lighting cracked fourth to part the clouds. The winds ripped at the buildings in the International District, as the drops assaulted the earth on masse. A spill of green code poured out from the hardline as he emerged, Sai Kung Central, one of the best known and most used hard lines in the international district.

Brushing himself off in his usual fashion, as though the code had left some sort of residue, he stepped out of the booth and headed across the small bridge. The water that flowed through this district had risen from the heavy rain. Stepping across the small walkway he moved along the wall of the Dojo, casually glancing at the amateur market square to his left, littered with Vendors.

To the unawakened they were merely merchants of software and other assorted things, most people weren’t even bothered by the ones with weapons upon their rugs, they would just keep walking. Continuing his slow walk along the white walls of the dojo, the words "We know kung fu" on the windows, amusing on levels beyond casual observation. Continuing around to the front he walked in between the pillar and tree, brushing the tree softly as he past it the due misted though the air, he smiled as the cool moisture touched his skin.

Moving to the door he opened it and stepped though, closing it behind him he moved between the partially askew sliding rice paper doors. The dojo was quiet, the way he liked it, moving slowly along the outer rim of the ring. He looked around admiring the swords and the overall purity of the dojo as a hole. He stoped at the door leading into the back rooms, he started up the few steps when the sliding doors he had left open closed behind him.

As he got inches from the door he stopped. Resting his hand on the door he closed his eyes and took a deep breath...

"Can I help you?" he voiced out to the seemingly empty room...... He hoped it was merely a nosey red pill coming to bust his chops about what he was doing, he was never that lucky.

Silence filled the room, but it was painfully obvious that he wasn’t alone, he could feel the presence of the other being but he wasn’t there. Turning slowly he scanned the area, nothing was different, nothing changed from before, everything was the same, no code disturbed or even altered, yes the doors were closed but every thing was - no, it hit him as his eyes caught the sword rack, there were 3 swords present upon the 4 slots of the rack.

Less than a second passed after his notice of the missing sword, when streak of black flew from the ceiling at him, the only thing not midnight black from this figure was the shining katana as it ripped through Darminians coat. Crimson splashed across the ground as the figure stood upon the bloodied boucher coat.

It spun to look around the dojo, a voice cold and indescribable filled the room, shadows flooded the mind at the sound of it and it sent chills down Darminians spine. “Not bad..... your faster than I thought.....” The sound of his blade swinging through the air as the blood was sent flying from it with a light spatter. “Not fast enough it seems.” His back to a pillar, his arm bleeding as it poured down his sleeve.

Loosening his tie he closed his eyes again, his hands upon the pillar he inhaled softly, flinging himself from the pillar he slid along the floor as the wood where he been resting exploded in a cloud of splinters and dust. The momentum carried him along the floor, and past a katana rack, it was nearly impossible to notice, especially at the speed with which he had grabbed what he needed from the rack but managed to do it, now another rack with 4 slots, occupied with only three sheaths. Propping himself up against another pillar he readied himself, the scent of his blood wafting to his nostrils, the dust from the pillar present in the air, this time he expected it, he knew it was coming.

He slid out from behind the pillar to watch it explode like the previous one, and as the splinters of wood drifted through space as though caught is some kind syrup he leaped from the ground towards the shadow. His sword cut through floating splinters as he moved through the air, cutting through the syrup at a speed beyond even his own comprehension the blade missed the figure by less than an inch. The shadow streaked from above to the floor, red eyes from beneath a veil, it’s midnight black look nothing more than a guise, an outfit.

It readied itself on the floor as Darminian pushed himsself off the roof back towards the ground. The splinters falling to the earth slowly as the two danced in a world different from reality, gravity speeding his descent Darminian plunged his sword into the ground where the shadow had been. Too slow, I was too slow, how could I have missed him. His thoughts before again a sword came from no where, his blood flying behind him in another spatter, this jolting them from their high speeds. The shadowy figure now stood over Darminian as he knelt on the floor severely bleeding.

“What a pitty, I was hoping you might be a challenge.” His eyes an inferno red, burned into Darminian as he looked up at him. His face still bound in the veil but his eyes blatantly present, boring into him every second. The sharp cold voice again filling the room, “Shall I make it quick?” A grin spread across his lips, some blood trickling down, “Do me a favour would you?” A hum of curiosity came from the figure, “Take my head would you, I’d rather not feel it.”

The shadows laughter filled the room, his look never breaking from Darminian, “Are you not afraid of death, the end to your life, does it not bother you?” Looking up at the figure he grinned, “There’s no point in being scared of that which you do not know.” The shadow nodded and raised his sword above his head, drawing breath in before the final blow, he wheezed all sounds that came from him sounded twisted and demented, evil and shrill, menacing to the listener. And it came, the final blow...

Well frankly i couldn't agree more, the level of deterioration in this community is insane.

I was one of the people who started making openly informed opinions on SOE's action and was getting my posts deleted without explanation. I would start to complain but nothing is accomplished from complaining on these forums because of the sheer amount of unexplaned amdin action aswell as power abuse but in any case i agree.

As for dissagreements, i believe an FPS can have a community, cause i was involved with one, well two actaully. Before i was involved with MXO I RP'ed on some servers from "The Specialist" mod. Also there was a wicked community on a server for "Natural Selection" granted there was no RP but everyone knew eachother, we had forums and above all else it was more fun than competitive at times.

I also dissagree with the people that think we can't change whats being done to the game. Granted right now we can't and our complaints fall upon deaf ears, if we all united to get what we wanted then we would be heard. However the chance of this happening is well.... as likely as Monolith buying this game back.

I know, and i certainly don't deny that, but even so i just think if your not going to use froums (whose very name comes from the buildings used for free speecdh to anyone who could access them) these sights for posting your own opinion to be agreed or argued with then you shouldn't have forums at all i believe.

Yeah forums are necessary but if the higher ups don't care about what we say like you said than whats the purpose of even altering or editing the posts. I mean if its racist, flaming or entirely innapropriate ok, but not when its designed to open conversation and hear other peoples opinions.

Also what i don't get is if the forum admins play the game then even they know whats happening and its totally stupid as players to delete relevant posts.

The final blow.... the blood spilling fourth from the body now going limp, oozing fourth as he staggered, it had come from beyond consciousness, he hadn’t even thought about it, it was merely instinct, in that second -that nanosecond he had acted and it was over.

The shadow now saw it, too focussed before to have seen in better detail, the stand to his right, his blood pouring fourth uncontrollably. That sword stand he would curse in his final seconds of life, 3 sheaths but only two hilts. Spluttering between the blood from his mouth and his faulted words.. "You....... you..... **bleep**......" His eyes fading from that burning point they had been, his voice less disturbing than it had been.

As his arms went limp, the life draining from him, they fell to his sides, the sword falling to the floor as he looked down to what should have been his victim. Darminians one arm spilling blood on the floor, out of breath, inches from death, he knelt now but not in submission in opposition. His bloodied arm limp and to his own side, his other at the end the sword that was now imbedded within the shadows chest. His blood pouring down the blade slowly, crawling along the steel path till it oozed over Darminians fingers, his life force draining in this literal-metaphor.

The shadow now fell to his knees, eyes locked with Darminians, his shades fallen in the heat of battle, the walls of ice bore into him. The diamond blue eyes would be the last thing the shadow would see. The red infernos turned to dying embers and in seconds did die. Inhaling he closed his eyes as he felt the change on the blade, the blood now warmer.... his eyes opened to see the blood running black and now falling from the wound. The form of this demon, its shape now melted around the blade, going liquid and pouring onto the floor.

Getting to his feet, he stared down at the pool of shadows, and it began to crawl across the floor, as though something were flying over head it moved along the floor and through the crack in the sliding doors. Chasing it out the double doors, he saw it squeeze out the door to the building and emerged outside, the rain now stinging his wound lightly, he spun around.... it was gone, no where to be seen. Gritting his teeth he went back inside to get his coat, the pillars repaired and swords back in their place.

Walking in slowly he grabbed his bloodied coat, the only evidence that the battle happened. He donned it leaving the left sleeve empty as to not stain it more. Reaching inside he came out with a handful of health pills, popping them in his mouth he waited.... the wound continued to ooze and spill. He could feel the scrapes and cuts from the splinters and force of the battle healing but his arm remained open and bleeding. He could feel himself losing energy, more blood spilt now than what could be considered humanly possible.

Outside the dojo he got a call on his phone, another meeting to go to it seemed, hopefully this one would be less messy. As he hung up he realized he was going to meet the infamous vampire herself, and was now a walking meal. shaking his head he crossed the bridge and entered the hardline through the familiar mist of code, as behind him an inky black substance poured into the small bend of water beneath the bridge.

Sure it's ok, so long as its done well and not munchkined or god modded why the hell not. I mean if someones got some fangs and the ability to turn you (with your permission.) no harm no fowl, if someone is incivible has rocket launchers for arms and can kill you by blowing a kiss in your direction well..... you better be friends with them..... actually i think i have an upgrade for my RSI, i wouldn't mind killing you people with emotes.

Seriously though, like all RP if its done well, reasonably and within the normal bounds and acceptable bounds of the game by all means go for it.

When he returns many guns will be pointed at him.... so what? How many freakin guns are pointed at the assassin and no one is hitting? Granted hes made of flies but even so i really think the Org's won't be able to touch him, the assassin will probably go after him again, we'll see it and be like that was nice what did we do? then it will be back to the usual "now what?".

Also i think he will have a lot more support than anyone is giving him credit for but thats just me.

BTB Nice poem, granted im a zionite but something creative and well done should be complimented.

I'm tempted to think one up myself about the assassin but i fear i would just keep rhyming things with running away.
