Hrmm where to start...

First off, yes you always have a chance to be out rolled by a lower level mob/player in CR2.0 though this isn't likely the greater your total Accuracy bonus is and/or Defense Bonus.

After second thoughts  I will leave it at that for now... hopefully more to come later.

The stacking of passive abilities to make a buff stronger then unloading those abilities then loading your normal load out but your buff not decreasing "on the fly" is at this time By Design.

It should be noted however while it gives a toughness bonus that bonuses increase as the player continues to take damage. This is for both the Prison Mentality Device and Prison Mastery Device, with the difference between them being how much Toughness you start out with and how much you gain per increase over the time you are taking damage.

Just want to clarify.  If I'm interpreting it correctly also, it may be a good idea to make an official announcement regarding it's use, as such, an exploit.

To the second part no the buff must be recast inorder for it to be updated.

The end point is Buffs dont dynamically update.

This is a way for player's to find out but I seriously doubt anyone would go through the head ache of doing it.

 

to accurately gauge accuracy you would need a sample of say 10,000 Speed attacks and record the number of hits this gives you the base line for the speed/style accuracy for a character. Then do the same test but run it against 10,000 uses of the ability you wish to test. compare the number of hits in both cases and the increase % would be the bonus.

 

And I am not kidding about the 10,000+ samples for the base line and test scenario.

I have the tools to just open the code for the ability and see what it's set for. However my reply was to show how a player could find out for themselves.

Loadout (yours/theirs)?

Buff/Debuffs running on you when you die?

Reconstruct through HL or Rez by player?

Level (yours/theirs)?

 

If you can get it in a controlled environment like away from majorly populated areas?

 

Does it occur after fighting mobs also or just PvP? also Duels?

Thanks Zane you nailed it. It appears that the extra round of combat (another bug) that occurs at the end of interlock combat is the culprit. because the player can be effected even after they die this ends up flagging you.

The only thing that should happen is that the DE timer is refreshed. You should not have stacked penalties and the penalties that are in place should be cleared once the DE timer is completed.

Sounds pretty broken. Will look into it.

  well to be honest each mob you kill has varying chances to drop about 2000 different items at the higher levels. Loot tables are not easy to test because of this. However I do know that construct mobs and Dungeon Mobs do drop appropriate level loot. Gang members on the other hand I haven't spent much time simply wiping them out to know.

I can't say specifically because the loot tables are a bit complicated and I am not looking at them as I type this. However it stands to reason your observation is more than likely true. Bosses (3 chevron) type mobs should have a greater chance to dropping desired loot than say a weakling (1 chevron) version of the same mob.

Currently the hotspot for successfully drag and drop icons onto the hot bar is a bit small. This is a known issue. you can right click an icon on you Action panel and select the "Add item to Hotbar"

A very good question. The reason is that there are some things dealing with already existing animations we can do and/or fix.

Creation of a brand new animation isn't one of these things.

No ability in the game has a cast timer of over 8 seconds

I have tested this myself, All currently ACTIVE abilities fit into your code archive. If you intend on keeping all the Zen Mastery and now 10 or so abilities that can not be used. That is entirely your descision. All active abilities fit into your code archive however I should mention that now that mail is non-deleting you effectively have a very large player to put stuff. But that not withstanding with discussions about abilities taking place internally "cough" "cough" Org "cough" Abilities "cough" "cough" I have brought the limited Code Archive space to the attention of the Devs.

 

There are current 448 Active abilities that can be placed into the code archive and only in the neighborhood of 520 spaces available in your Code Archive.

With the new combat system it is possible to not see your ability's related animation. If the exchange is a Hit/Hit but your opponent wins the initiative your opponents animation for interlock is played even though you will still deal damage.
 
However if during a round you Hit and your opponent misses and your animation doesn't play this would be a bug to report. (If this occurs please enter as many details into the report as possible)

The problem with the AoE radius was that it was always intended to be increased by a % not by a flat value. Meaning if you had a +5% to radius and your ability was 5m radius to start with the bug was your radius ended up being 10m instead of 5.25m.

 

In effect any aspect of CR 2.0 is designed if you want something to be alot bigger you have to give up something to get that large bonus. Usually in the way of ignoring other bonuses.

Hey all as was reported recently that some or many people get the "my connection is freaking out" message when they try to start an archive mission. Now most of these missions can be done anywhere while a few are district specific. However I need some help looking into this because they all start fine for my team and me. So I would like some specific information about what is happening around this problem.

  • Where were you? do a /whereami and distict?
  • What is your rep for all 3 orgs when it occured?
  • Which mission is giving you this problem?
  • Have you completed any mission previously during the current login?
  • Were you on a team previously?

And add anything else you might think will help to repro this problem. If nothing else I can visit live and give it a try.

There was an way of using Master Shadow that allowed a player to turn Master Shadow off attack and turn it back on without ANY fear of retaliation. If effect be totally invulnerable to other players if done properly. CR2.0 got rid of zero sum combat specifically to remove this kind of game play element.

 

That was not the intent of the ability so it was changed to be more inline with its intended design.

What ability are you using? what is its base radius? What is your Debuff Area Radius Bonus? Things I need to know inorder to check stuff! :smileywink:

change your upper or lower hot bar to another row. Currently when you log in both hot bars are set to row 1 and anything you put on row 1 on the upper hot bar will show up on the lower hot bar if it is also set to row 1.

Roukan - The rep changes only occur if you "join" a crew of a different Org than you woudl be normally flagged for. If you have positive rep Zion but are in a merv crew your rep will only change if you leave and rejoin a crew belonging to a faction that opposes Zion in this example.

I believe the System FM 1500 is a Agent only weapon but then Rarebit may do otherwise at his discretion.

I would indeed like to see a scope on the sniper rifles.... with that said I am not sure how soon a cosmetic change such as that would be pratical to implement given bug fixes and new content being developed. I guess we need to just wait and see.

In fact mobs do have specific loot tables, the issue is that there are SO many items it seems a bit more random then you would expect.


SO many = a few thousand in most cases.

I also constantly find my Spy Style deactivated and replaced by Sel-Defense at seemingly random times. I know that sometimes if I fire my gun it happens, but also I have been in PVP and in the middle of fighting my Spy Style would go away.

If fact the bonuses from your Vitality do work as I have check each one myself due to the other stating they dont. The fact is there may not a be an attribute running on you that receives a boost from these bonuses. This is being looked into.

 

Secondly, your combat tactics are now no longer 1 all encompassing value. Each player has 4 effective combat tactics, each is represented by your Accuracy for a given damage type.

 

Melee Accuracy

Ballistic Accuracy

Throw Accuracy

Viral Accuracy

 

When you use a Tactic Booster the value is added to all 4 Acc Attributes.

 

When you use an ability against an opponent this is what occurs

 

Out of Interlock

 

Combatant 1 <damagetype> Acc vs Combantant 2 <damagetype> defense

 

In Interlock per round;

 

Combatant 1 <damagetype> Acc vs Combatant 2<damagetype> defense

and

Combatant 1 <damagetype> defense vs Combatant 2 <damagetype> Acc

 

If only 1 person uses an ability in a given round depending on which combants uses it;

 

Combatant 1 <damagetype> Acc vs Combatant 2 <damagetype> defense

or

Combatant 1 <damagetype> defense vs Combatant 2 <damagetype> Acc

 

If both combatants use an ability in the same round;

 

Combatant 1 <damagetype> Acc vs Combatant 2 <damagetype> Acc
