That screen still doesn't explain the changing of style to Kung Fu before Tomo. If you had had a misfired special from kung fu, and then hit tomo, you would have still changed back to Aikido by default when it fired....

This isn't remotely about PDS lol. Like we both said PDS has been discussed pages and pages back. And the damage thing is irrelevant, even if it did less damage on Kung fu, for certain, everytime, there's accuracy differences and a lot of other stuff that can affect a roll/special upon changing MA fighting styles.

People have already discussed the whole situation with PDS, in this exact same thread.... It also doesn't help when pyro puts up screenshots of system chat showing himself doing it, lol.

That may well be the case, but like I said, there are other factors at play, including what item of clothing it hit. It doesnt depend on whether or not the resis debuffs were still there.

I'm not sticking up for PDS, I'd make the same points whoever was concerned. And I don't think system chat tells you when you state someone else, hotbars light up instead, it does tell you when you recover from being stated though.

That doesn't make a difference. I never said he'd switch to kung fu to gain more damage in the Tomo. The fact is that changing colour of hands for specials is deemed an exploit, and changing MA styles also has an effect on specials, so it's pretty much the same thing. Except changing MA styles affects more than a colour does.

Also take into account that when you take damage, the ability hits a random item of clothing, so the damages you've posted there could be different depending what item of clothing it hit, and not dependant on the change of style.

What Az said about the tomo debuff is also right

I've never had an MA ability fail to show in system, hit or miss. I've only ever seen that with MKT, and I watch system pretty solidly. And it hasn't been fixed, that's obvious from the screen. Even if you had missed a kung fu ab, it would have defaulted you to Aikido straight away for the tomo.

No it doesn't lol. If he'd missed with a Kung fu move, that would show in system. Not to mention states last for only about two rounds of combat, in which he offbalanced duckker on a speed attack, missed with a grab, and then hit with tomo. There was no opportunity to miss a kung fu move.

As for changing to kung fu stance before tomo went through, i'm pretty sure that's also deemed as 'naughty naughty' (i may be wrong though), seeing as tomo is an aikido move, and sending it through in a different style would have a different effect. Sending through a tomo immediately sets you to aikido stance by default, the only way you got into Kung fu is by doing that yourself...

I'm thinking about selling these, I have the ability to farm another pair or two.

*6 on 6 freestyle will be by invite only to the top four factions by point total compiled over the whole competition, all 6 members DO NOT have to be from the invited faction, a two player exemption is available if theres not enough players on from the faction to represent in the event. This of course is free to enter.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three point scoring individuals as well.

Rules

All particpants must /suicide before they start an event, this must be done in the clothing they will be wearing when the match starts, if any player switches afterwards and is caught doing so, then they must /suicide again.

Switching of clothing during a fight is also prohibited.

No tool launchers.

Open trench coats only.

No heals for any build, in any match are allowed, Mobius Code IS ALLOWED though.

No buffs in any singles event OTHER than the freestyle, self buffs may be used AFTER the event starts. During team events buffs will also be ALLOWED, but once again AFTER the event starts.

Wooden stakes, Silver bullets, Holy water, or any other consumable will not be allowed. Tactic booster, Health boosters, and IS boosters are also not allowed.

Proxys may be used in the freestyle and team events, as long as the proxy DOES NOT buff, you may also buff your proxy, AFTER the match has started.

In freestyle and Team events you are allowed one change of build per match, but after the change is made, you must /suicide before the match picks up again.

Hybrids will be allowed in Freestyle and Team events, again, no buffs until after the match starts, and of course no heals.

Any rule broken during any match will result in a warning, the second time will result in disqualification. Any player/team breaking a rule while facing elimination in a fight will be disqualified.

All matches are best of 3.

In singles events, the build must be a pure build. MKT and Assassin mix is of course fine, as well as any mixes made in the Gun, Martial Arts, and Hacker trees as long as heals are not built into the hacker tree of course.

Fisrt come first entered, email Playdoh, Manatikluniak, or Byond the entry fee amount and tell us what your entering. We'll do our best to coordinate with each other on who's entered where, and update it here in this thread.

All start times will be 2pm Central time U.S. which if I remember right will be 8pm U.K.

Given the new sleepwalker jeans, wearing open trenches is pretty much the only safe way. Someone could have a GI or a closed trench, and switch to the pants underneath half way through and suddenly get awesome regen.

Pretty much the only way to counteract that is open trenches.
