At low to mid level, the memory cost for class abilities will prohibit you from loading abilities outside one main tree. However, as you get higher in level and get more memory space, you can branch out in to other trees. At level 46, I currently have an Upgrade Master/Doctor loadout which goes most of the way down both trees but leaves out the less useful side-abilities which Sieges mentioned. To really customize your skills, pay close attention to where you put Attribute Points in the Upgrade Panel. Again, these will mean more at higher level. You can run a mission to get a Stat Hack to re-set your Attributes to level 1 and re-apply all the points, so you'll not be locked in to your first choices. Also, the clothing you choose will give a unique set of Influences. Other ways to customize MxO for your tastes include Macros and the layout of your Hotbars. There are a great many choices of Abilities, Attributes, Apparel, Macros and Hotbars to satisfy even the tweakiest of tweakers.

I've been away too long. Rarebit is right about the Stickied threads not showing up in the Recent Topics, so one must go through each board one at a time, checking for replies in Stickied threads. Just as a summary reply:
As my mouse and keyboard are badly in need of replacement, I'll be looking at the G15 and Nostromo, or products in the same vein.
Variables for X,Y,Z coordinate position would be a great addition. That would be a very useful and welcome update. something like %XC, %YC and %ZC would work well.
The macro tutorial I wrote back in May 2006 is woefully out of date. My own methods for writing and using macros are two generations evolved from that. Writing an "Advanced Macro Coding ver. 3.0" is something I would love to do but the time is never there. Also, I need to confer with the Devs on how far a Macro can go before it is an Exploit. I wouldn't want to post any information which would reveal or promote an Exploit.
Lag IS the bane of macros. Some of the more advanced macros I use will fail unless there is little to no lag. There are a lot of complex "work arounds" and specific ways of using certain macros which make a comprehensive, unconfusing Tutorial problematic.
Important information: if you want to invoke a macro with a slash command, don't use anything but lowercase letters and numbers in the macro name. A macro with a capital letter in its name can not be invoked with a slash command. Examples:
/macro Hello Hi, how's it going?
will not work by typing /Hello or even /hello
/macro hello Hi, how's it going?
will work by typing /hello or /Hello or even /HELLO
/goodbye (for now)

Yes I did! And I’m going to again, with the tip following all the quotes.

Don’t you mean /whoa ? lol Thanks!

Thank you very much! I love to get a little praise! You can haunt me anytime…
Talauntiar said: Thank you so much. I finally coded my first major macro from this. XD
I’m so glad to hear it! Keep it going and if you come up with something new, tell us all about it please!
New Information: To create a help file which contains all the slash commands and emotes, do the following: 1) Switch to Team Chat (Alt-2) and go somewhere away from a lot of player actions, so the chat will be clean of player chatter and actions. 2) Type /logstart Help.txt 3) Type /commands 4) Type /listemotes 5) Type /logstop This opens a log file called Help.txt. It records the output of /command, listing all MxO slash commands and the output of /listemotes, listing all MxO emote slash commands. Finally it closes the log file. The next time you are in windows, use Search or Find to locate Help.Txt under the “C:\Program Files\Monolith Productions\The Matrix Online\” folder (if you did not install MxO in the default folder location, then Look In the folder where MxO is installed) The folder will look something like this: Name In Folder Help.txt C:\Program Files\Monolith Productions\The Matrix Online\Profiles\yourStationID
Open and edit the file so you have an easy to read list of the commands. If you’re so inclined, create a spreadsheet with command types (combat, emote, chat, game, etc.) in a second column so that the commands can be easily sorted into category or by alphabetical order. Is there MORE that can be done with slash commands? Why yes, there is… but it will have to wait… PS10N

If you ever asked another player to view your Details, take a screenshot and email it to you just to see your own Background, then you really need to know this!
To view your own Details and Background:
1) Right-Click on any player RSI but don't choose anything from the menu which appears.
2) Press the U key to target yourself.
3) Click on the button "Details" which appeared in step 1
4) Your Details and Background will appear.
More tips and tricks to follow, please check back...

Thats fine and dandy but the handbook that came in the box with the game says;....." You can use Macros to chat or to activate your Abilities, but you may not use Macros for combat or chat actions." page 64 paragraph 6
I really don't think that this means that using macros for chat actions (emotes?) or combat is "against the rules" or that it is somehow an exploit. Rather, I think that the manual was written back in beta, is full of past and current errors, typos and is plain wrong in sections where the game changed after the manual was printed. (It even says, "see page XX" all over the place and says that you get Access Node Keys for completing missions for Exile Gang Bosses, which is of course ridiculous now.) The only macros I use in combat are to change clothing, which isn't technically a combat action. Macros are part of the game, they can be powerful but certainly using them whenever they can save time is not an exploit. The only time I've ever heard of macros being used as an exploit was when they were used to perform actions such as Data Node Mining while the player was AFK. So, chill out, learn some macros and start using them; come up with a new use that no one has thought of before and share the knowledge with the community.

Reformatted Repost of Original Message to correct extra spaces

[My original post was formatted in justified variable width text, which makes it appear that there are extra spaces in the yellow /macro code. To correct this, I've reposted the original message in unjustified, fixed width,sized text.]
Macros are an incredible way to put an edge on both your combat and role-playing. There are several more advanced macro techniques which haven’t been posted about yet. Some of them can be inferred by studying the following examples, others will have to wait until PS10N is ready to give up his secrets. Here are some example macros:
Apparel Changing Macros:
(Obviously the apparel for each load-out would be stored on the hotbar buttons called in each macro, Doc clothing on hotbar 15, MA clothing on hotbar 16, etc. Weapons can also be auto-selected by the macro invoking the hotbutton where the weapon is positioned.)
(Note: you can omit the comma between hotbutton and hotbar numbers in the /use command. “/use 4 15” is the same as “/use 4, 15” and saves characters for very long macros to meet the 255 character limit.)
/macro A-Uni /use 4 14; /use 5 14; /use 6 14; /use 7 14; /use 8 14; /use 9 14; /use 10 14; They'll never know what hit them...

/macro A-Doc /use 4 15; /use 5 15; /use 6 15; /use 7 15; /use 8 15; /use 9 15; /use 10 15; Help is on the way...

/macro A-MA /use 4 16; /use 5 16; /use 6 16; /use 7 16; /use 8 16; /use 9 16; /use 10 16; Time for the rough stuff...

/macro A-Gun /use 4 17; /use 5 17; /use 6 17; /use 7 17; /use 8 17; /use 9 17; /use 10 17; Say hello to my little friend...

/macro A-Code /use 4 18; /use 5 18; /use 6 18; /use 7 18; /use 8 18; /use 9 18; /use 10 18; Time to take a byte out of my bits...
Auto loadout, upgrade, style and tactic macros:
(In these cases, the “Class Upgrade” is stored in button 1, the Tactic is stored in button 2 and the Style in button 3. See the above hotbar graphics. Invoking the macro changes your loadout, upgrade, style and tactic in one click. You must have previously saved the named loadout with /savelo and be close to a hardline to change the loadout, but you can run off before the macro finishes and the Upgrades, etc. will still load. You can experiment with shorter /pause times to cut down on the wait, but if you use too small a pause, the ability may not load.)
/macro L-Doc /loadlo Doc; /pause 120; /use 1 15; /pause 80; /use 2 15; /pause 30; /use 3 15; Yes, there is a Doctor in the house...
/macro L-MA /loadlo MA; /pause 130; /use 1 16; /pause 80; /use 2 16; /pause 40; /use 3 16; I know Kung Fu...
/macro L-Gun /loadlo Gun; /pause 120; /use 1 17; /pause 80; /use 3 14; /use 2 17; /pause 30; /use 3 17; Guns, lots of guns...
Combining all the Loadout and Apparel macros on two hotbars means you’re always ready to change your attributes at any moment:

Macros for fun and ASCI art:
(Using colors and ASCII art, little cartoons can be sent via chat. The spacing will have to be edited until you get it right – use a fixed-width font like Courier New when typing them up in Notepad. Note: to preserve the line-breaks, you MUST type or copy these into Notepad or another basic text editor, highlight the entire macro, press Ctrl-C or click Edit, Copy. Then return to MXO, click in the chat input box, press Ctrl-Insert to paste the macro in. You can’t type line-breaks in chat in MxO.)
/macro WR1 {c:FFFFFF}Follow the White Rabbit.
/\ /|
\ V/
| "")
/ |
/ \\
*(__\_\{/c}
/macro WR2 {c:FFFFFF}Follow the Other White Rabbit.
/\ /\
( V |
\ | /
(r r)
( " )
/ \
(_m m_)
/ \
__\ _ /__
(___/*\___){/c}

A timed macro to start a race or tournament fight:
(This macro counts down from 5 to 1 to Go! With a one second delay between each.)
/macro GO 5; /pause 10; 4; /pause 10; 3; /pause 10; 2; /pause 10; 1; /pause 10; GO!
Eat Peanuts!
(This macro was developed right after the new emotes came out and uses the /takepill, /examine and /pickup commands to act out a comical scene.)
/macro Peanuts /takepill; /pause 40; /takepill; mmm peanuts; /pause 40; /takepill; /pause 40; /takepill; oops dropped one; /examine; where did it go?; /pause 38; there it is!; /pickup; /pause 18; /takepill; 5 second rule; /pause 40; /takepill
Martial Arts Pose macro:
(Using the various Martial Arts Pose emotes and the proper timing with /pause, a “kata” can be invoked with one click.)
/macro Ace /bow; /pause 30; /cool; /pause 35; /powerpose; /pause 25; /kungfuspeed3; /pause 35; /bow
(This macro has your RSI perform the first half of a back-flop then come up flipping the bird.)
/macro RudeFlop /backflop2; /pause 10; /rude
Colors:
Colors have been well documented elsewhere. They can be used in gradients to change the color every few letters. This example sends a message in multiple colors after invoking the Restore RSI Ability stored on another hotbutton. (4,2)
/macro Rise! /use 4 2; T{c:8AFB17}he P{/c}{c:8AFB17}ower of N{/c}{c:8AFB17}eo C{/c}{c:8AFB17}ompels Y{/c}{c:8AFB17}ou! R{/c}{c:8AFB17}ise F{/c}{c:8AFB17}rom the D{/c}{c:8AFB17}ead!{/c}
Variables
Variables are an amazing feature which allow you to report information which can change at any time. Whenever a macro or normal chat includes a variable name (always the % symbol followed by one or two specific CAPITAL letters) the chat or macro substitutes the value of the variable, displaying the requested information. For example, if I have Niobe targeted and type Hello, %T! It says “Hello, Niobe!” If I switch targets to Ghost and type the exact same thing, it says “Hello, Ghost!” If I am in Mara and type I’m in %NH. it says “I’m in Mara.” but if I head south into that neighborhood, the same text would report “I’m in Moriah.” These are extremely useful for reporting information that can change at any time, especially your Location, Health and Inner Strength to teammates. Variables also work as part of other commands! If a command needs a parameter, like /friend, you can use the variable instead and it will work for whoever you have targeted.
(This macro reports your current status of Health and Inner Strength. You can add a /fc or /tc after the word Status if you want the report to appear in a specific chat instead of the default one.)
/macro Status My health is at %HP% (%HC/%HT) and my Inner Strength is at %IP% (%IC/%IT)
(This macro sends a simple greeting in the current chat to your target.)
/macro Greet Greetz to my friend %T!
(This macro adds your target to your Buddy List. Very handy for people with Handles with zeros or ones, the lowercase letters I L, etc. If you can’t figure out how they spelled their Handle, Target them and use the macro and they will be added to your list.)
/macro Add /friend %T
(Note how the next macro sends a private tell to the person you added, using the %T variable! Any time you have someone targeted, you can type /tell %T “message”. And not have to worry about typing their name or doing any clicking to initiate the /tell)
/macro Friend /friend %T; /tell %T I added you to my friends’ list, %T.
(This macro gives a greeting to another RSI, using their Handle, your Names, Handle, Level, Loadout and Location)
/macro Intro Hello %T, my name is %F %N, but call me %H. I’m level %L and loaded out as %D right now. We are in the %NH neighborhood right now.
(This macro privately reports the Handle, Level, Loadout and Faction of a target to Faction Chat. Hitting G and this macro repeatedly will report to your faction all the RSIs near you.)
/macro PriScan /fc Scanning %T, the level %TL %TD of %TF.
(This macro is an amazing way to tell others what Mission you are doing at the time.)
/macro Mish Hello, %T. We are on the %MO mission “%MN,” working for %MS. The team is: %G1, %G2, %G3, %G4, %G5, %G6, %G7, %G8.
Combining colors, variables and linebreaks:
(This macro scans a target and reports their Handle, Level, Loadout and Faction, in a gradient color scheme. Note that it has linebreaks, so copy it into MxO from Notepad or your browser. I didn't try to include the actual colors in the post.)
/macro Scan {c:347335}Scan initiated.{/c}
{c:437E17}Scanning %T{/c}
{c:6CC617}the level %TL{/c} {c:7FE817}%TD{/c}
{c:8AFB17}of %TF.{/c}
{c:5EFB6E}Neural Activity:{/c} {c:00FF00}Elevated.{/c}
{c:5EFF6E}Scan terminated.{/c}
See the next message for the full list of Macro Variables.

Demonstrating the use of the Objective, Subjective and Possessive macro variables:
/macro Sim That’s my %S. Don’t look at %SO that way, %SS will kick your butt with %SP mad skills.
This macro will output one of the following:
That’s my Aikido Simulacrum. Don’t look at him that way, he will kick your butt with his mad skills.
That’s my Aikido Simulacrum. Don’t look at her that way, she will kick your butt with her mad skills.
(Of course, if it’s a Nuker Simulacrum, Patcher Simulacrum, etc, the correct name would appear with %S.)
This can be used with Targets as well, with %T, %TO, %TS and %TP.
/macro Props Don’t bust on %T, %SS’s a friend of mine, %SP skills are valuable to the team and I’ll defend %SO if I have to.
Example outputs:
Don’t bust on Merrit, she’s a friend of mine, her skills are valuable to the team and I’ll defend her if I have to.
Don’t bust on TRX, he’s a friend of mine, his skills are valuable to the team and I’ll defend him if I have to.

Seeing this thread stickied and reading all the new comments put a smile on my face. Thanks for all the comments and support. It's been a wonderful 807 Days (so far) since my very first jack-in to MxO. I'm about to hit 175 Days /play time with my main RSI, which averages to about 5.21 hours a day. In all that time I've come across some very interesting techinques for macros and for getting the most out of the user interface and game engine. I'm planning a follow-up with more advanced techniques and some tips and tricks I hope everyone will find helpful. It will be posted to this thread, so keep an eye open in the next couple of weeks as I polish up the article and find the time to finish and post it. Cheers to the best MMO community of the 21st century! /drinkbottle PS10N

Quite some time ago I wrote a program to create macros to test every combination of two-letter variable names. It didn't find any. Maybe it's time to explore some three-letter variations.
EDIT: Come to think of it, the variations tried did not include numbers (%A0 thru %Z9 and %0A thru %9Z) Time, the hobgoblin of all good ideas.

Load (and activate if necessary) an Ability which gives you Thrown Resistance, then the Bonus from Perception will appear. In MxO, you need a base 'attribute' (like Thrown Resistance) for an Influence or Bonus to apply to. Without the base number, there is nothing to add the points or percentage bonus to!

In MxO, Abilities in the main path of the tree (not tertiary abilities which dead-end on the side branches) need to be leveled up individually, so make sure to use the Upgrade Panel (L Key) every time you Level Up to increase the levels of the individual Abilities. This can also be done by clicking an arrow icon in the individual Ability description (Ability Tree at a Hardline or in the Loading Area.) I mention this because it sounded like you had a prerequisite of a prerequisite issue. Note also that the Upgrade Panel has a tab for Attributes. Don't forget to add points the points when you Level Up. There are some Abilities like Cryptography which don't do anything except provide a prerequisite for other Abilities, so don't ever level them beyond what's necessary to load their dependents. There are a few orphaned Abilities like Multi Fighting and Sharpshooter; don't waste your time, $info or Memory Capacity on them. Along with being able to change your Loadout on a whim, remember too that your Attributes can be reset to level 1 with a Stat Hack (acquire a Stat Hack Ticket at your organization's Archivist Broker, activate it and complete the mission to get your Stat Hack) so you're not locked in to your Stats and Class like in most MMOs. Aside from your names and gender, your Trait (which determines your base Attribute scores) is the only thing you can't change, so don't feel the need to make a separate RSI for specialization.

With all the great advice above, it's always a great idea to send the lowbie in with several stacks of Health Pills. It cuts down on lots of frustration and wait time between spawns. You can even have someone still up in the city email more consumables down to the "champion."

A lot of problems can be solved just by insuring that your system isn't clogged with temporary files, bad registry entries and malware. If you are a home user, there are several good free programs available. Those on the list below were carefully chosen to be as hassle-free and easy to use as possible. For the technically inclined, turning off every non-essential Startup item and non-essential Service in MSCONFIG can drastically increase performance and stability.
Best FREE Antimalware (for personal use only) on Windows XP:
CCleaner Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.5 Adaware 2007 AVG Anti-Spyware Free Edition AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition
another decent program:
AVAST Anti-virus Home Edition
Also, check in with Kim Komando for her picks as well. This thread can be continued by others to post links to their favorite free anti-malware and clean up utilities.

Try CCleaner, you will like it. After a few years of manually cleaning out temp files from Windows XP, it found and reclaimed about 3.5 gigabytes of wasted space, and its Registry Cleaner made a noticeable improvement to boot speed and responsiveness.

I used to use AVAST, until I was cleaning out a computer which was obviously infected but AVAST claimed was clean. I installed AVG and it found and removed the infection immediately. I've also found AVG allows for a faster boot and uses fewer system resources while resident. The usual course of these things is, one will be better for awhile, then another, and the best bet is to keep all of them on hand for use when one isn't cutting it any more.

Switch to International when missions start taking you to Westview, as Westview gangs are level 16-31 and International gangs are 11-26.

Ability Vendors are very specific as to which branches of which trees they sell Abilities for. Kung Fu is for sale from a vendor in Canton Plaza, Sai Kung (Central) International District.

Welcome to The Matrix Online. Here are a few things to help get you started.
Fill your Memory Capacity. At a Hardline, right-click it and choose Abilities. Click the Ability Tab to the right so that it displays all the Abilities you have not loaded on the left and all those you have loaded on the right. Double-click or drag all the Abilities from the left column to the right column, moving them from Core Storage (Loading Area) to active Memory. If you still have more Capacity, it's time to hunt up some new Abilities at a Vendor or from a friendly Coder (Crafter.)
Pressing the O key brings up the Actions Panel. This Panel shows just about everything you can do or use and has three tabs: Abilites, Consumables and Tools. You should drag each and every item in all three tabs to hotbars. In other words, put everything shown in every section of the Actions Panel on its own hotbutton. That way, you can use any Ability, Consumable or Tool from the hotbars without having to open the Actions Panel during combat (not until your Hotbars fill up anyway!) Hotbars go from 1 to 20 and are displayed two at a time. Clicking the up and down arrows above and below the hotbar number will allow you to select any hotbar. (Which is the only way to display bars numbered 11 to 20.) Shift-1 thru Shift-0 will change the top Hotbar to the number key pressed. Ctrl-Shift-1 thru Ctrl-Shift-0 changes the bottom Hotbar to that number. Pressing a number key 1 thru 0 will activate whatever is on that button on the top bar. Pressing Ctrl- number key 1 thru 0 will activate whatever is on that button on the bottom bar.
The /use command can be used to activate a hotbutton which isn't currently shown on the screen. For example, typing:
/use 5 11
Uses whatever is on Button 5, Bar 11.
The symbols under the hotbars show which Abilities are affecting you, whether good "buffs" from yourself or other players or bad "debuffs" from enemies. Perpetual things like the Style and Tactic you are using will show here, too. These are the two which never go away. You'll always have an active Style and Tactic. Styles have to do with using Abilities in certain branches of the Ability Tree and switch automatically when you use those Abilities. Styles include Self-Defense (which everyone starts with) Hacker, Coder, Karate, Kung-fu, Aikido, Spy, etc. and are tied to the Abilities you have loaded at the time. You can mouse-over any Style to see what Influences it is giving you so you can choose one to start with, though they will change if you use an Ability which requires a different one from the one you are using at the time.
Tactics are the color coded blue-red-green-yellow and are called Speed, Power, Grab and Block. Speed gives you more Accuracy, Power inflicts more Damage, Grab increases your Defense and Block attempts to block an incoming attack and restores your InnerStrength if successful. You'll always have one Tactic selected. You can't use most Abilities with Block or Withdraw. If you get a message telling you that you can't use an Ability with that Tactic, try switching to Speed, Power or Grab. That final tactic, Withdraw, is used to get out of Interlock (close combat.) These Tactics also cause States on your enemies; States which are required for other Abilities to work. For example, Speed can cause an enemy to be Dazed and Headbutt requires an enemy to be Dazed before it will "light up" for use. So, if you want to Headbutt an enemy, use Speed Tactic on him until it says he's Dazed. Headbutt will light up in your hotbar and you'll have just a short time to activate it while the opponent is still Dazed. Speed causes Dazed, Power causes Staggered, Grab causes Off-Balance. If a combat Ability (sometimes called "specials") requires a State, you have to use the appropriate Tactic to set the opponent up for the special move.
I assume the "memory you find on enemies" means Code Bits. Bits are the basic building blocks of Crafting. Bits are made into Fragments, which are combined with other Fragments to create Codes. Codes are compiled into Items. Items can be decompiled to learn the Code Structure (for copying items) or to recover bits from an unwanted Item whose Structure is already Known. Bits and Fragments will upload to your Core Storage at any Hardline. Getting Coder Tree Abilities and Tools will allow you to learn Coding (Crafting) to make Abilities, Weapons, Consumables, Tools, Apparel, etc. Getting the Decompile Ability and Decompiler Tool will get you started in Coding, but there is a lot more to learn about Coding after you've mastered the basics of combat.
The boots you can't equip are either the wrong gender (blue background for men, yellow background for ladies.) You can see the background on a grayed-out item by dragging it. If it's the right gender for your RSI, you can't equip it because it's too high level for you to use yet.
Have fun, ask more questions, and switch to Recursion so you can join us for the real fun and help! :)

I've heard horror stories about Vector-Hostile players having to retreat to pacification zones just to get a little peace and quiet to do some Coding, RP or partying. Then again, I've heard that Vector population isn't that big and these days one can find a Signal Booster Dish near a Hardline to do some Coding without being molested. The Hostile/non-Hostile choice is always a very personal one and I doubt a hardcore PvPer will convince a hardcore RPer to go Hostile and vice-versa.
More questions? There's a ton of content and sights to see in this game. I don't think any other MMO allows the "on-the-fly tweaking" of MxO. The only things which are locked for your RSI are gender, psyche trait (base Attributes), and the names. i.e. my main RSI is Gregori "PS10N" Lomax, a male with the Lunatic Fringe trait. Everything else about him can be changed, some at a moment's notice, others with an investment of time, items, actions or $info.

You can edit your /details with the /setbackground command to put a note there along the lines of ((RPer)) People who read your details (the default double-click actions for PCs) will then see your note that you're wanting to RP. A variation on this is simply putting an in-character RP Background Details; most people will pick up on that.

Coders can only create apparel which is in their list of Structures. Some plain apparel (no buffs) are added to the Coder's Structures automatically at certain levels, but any Armored, Shielded or Enhanced Apparel has to be decompiled to be learned. The easiest way to look at it is: Coders COPY Apparel. First an item is found, then Decompiled to learn the Structure, then a copy can be Coded. Because all Armored Apparel at a given level and all Shielded Apparel at a given level have the same buffs, the Coder can have a range of styles available, depending on what he's Decompiled in the past. Enhanced Apparel have unique buffs so you won't find another style with the same buffs. (Although, you will find the same style with different buffs, like the wide variety of buffs in a series of Male Street Wranglers for level 46.)

Intro: The bar for art derived from screenshots has been raised by Aquatium with his motion captures and by the other fantastic sigs and graphics posted lately. We've seen a lot of character action and street-level scenes, so in an effort to broaden the horizons and rise above the commonplace, I've taken to the skies of the Megacity to bring you some cityscapes and skylines. I hope you like them, as there are more in the works and your comments are most welcome. If you have a favorite tourist attraction in the city, point it out to me and I'll get some birds' eye views.
A Higher Perspective We walk the dirty, dangerous streets of the Megacity, the pedestrian view transcended briefly when belief leaps us from here to there, but always we are brought crashing down again. We do not know the ultimate freedom of mind to see the sights from the places where Neo flew. There are those places where we might climb the tall steps toward enlightenment, but when a monument of ascension seems like a bleak and stunted post under a dark Westview sky, the question must be asked, is The Matrix an island of darkness or is it an island of light? So much depends on perspective. Something vague is only obscure when viewed from a distance and when one draws near, it is suddenly made clear. This is a contrived world, designed and made as complex as is necessary to complete an illusion of code sufficient to fool our senses. It is no wonder that those who seek power also desire a higher perspective as well. Like a moon obscured in haze the truth is continually hidden from our perception, and we call royal what is called royal by others. Heed this: that skyline is an illusion and so many of you do not navigate the code stream, but are falling out of control. Never forget that this was designed to be and forever is a system of control and the evil machinations are seen in the corrupt corporations and government which look down from their ivory towers. Neither should you succumb to the temptations of the jaded madmen who revel in the view from the windows of their pleasure palace. The world never stops and if you are looking for that one rare bit of code to complete the structure then you need but pause and take in the sight of the sunrise over the city or savor the splendor of a sunrise over Sai Kung or even better, revel in the perfection of Sati's masterpiece. When we dare to rise above and gain a new perspective, open our eyes to a better perception, free our minds like Neo truly did, then how far we might see! If you desire reasonable freedom, a measure of power and a stable Matrix, then you are probably a Redpill like me no matter what tag is encoded on your RSI.

Do you like them or not? Are they new to you or hardly original? Do you have some cityscape, overhead or skyline screenshots to share? Do you want to see more, better ones I took yesterday? Do you want to know how to make them yourself or know how to "fly" around the city? Is your hovercraft full of eels? Message Edited by PS10N on 03-25-200607:34 PM

The Elite Commandos in the construct are linked to individual Sentinels in the Real. The Merovingian had warned the General to stay in designated areas and otherwise obey orders, or there would be consequences. It seems to me that the Effectuator reached into the chest of an Elite Commando and stopped his heart, thus "killing" the Sentinel in the Real. An example to the General to stay loyal, I'm sure. The thumbs' up is merely the subordinate reporting a mission accomplished back to his superior. The Merovingian's interest in power sources points to his plans to expand his influences in the Real. Our engineers are working on ways for Holographics to distinguish between Machine Sentinels and Merv Sentinels, but for now we are assuming that the ones that run from a firefight are the Merv's and the ones that keep coming are the Machines'. In a way the General did us all a favor by tearing the Machines' Sentinel army down to the manageable size it is now. The small pockets of Sentinels on patrol haven't kept us from establishing secure broadcast positions. The Rocket Propelled Grenade EMPs are working very well... the squiddies scatter when we fire them and, although the EMP blast range is small due to the limited power supply on board the RPG-EMP, the speed at which the shock wave advances usually catches a few and downs them. The advantage of a ranged EMP blast is that our own systems are not affected. I'm glad we took advantage of the peace time to prepare for war, otherwise we would have been stranded every time we had to resort to blowing an EMP. Thanks to the research necessary for powering the EMP defenses of New Zion, the RPG EMPs are a success. (((As for the rest, please use Xfire or the other IMs to call in troops who aren't already jacked in when we are needed to sway the outcome with numbers. Also, as I've plead before, during Live Events: stay in character, role-play and say relevant and/or dramatic things, or .... be quiet. Ruining events for everyone else is the height of juvenile behavior; quit it.))) "Combined with a form of fusion, the machines had found all the power they would ever need..." This is a very old discussion. Do the machines (mechanicals, not redpills) even need human-generated power at all or are they just being efficient by not letting it go to waste? "You won't let it happen. You can't. You need humans to survive." "There are levels of survival we are willing to accept." Why then keep nearly 8 billion in the pods? What's the real reason the machines need humans and seemingly need to control us? Ponder...

(((I apologize for the System Chat SPAM, it was unintentional. A typo in a macro caused the emote to fire one after another instead of several minutes apart. When I lost connect I figured it was because I was booted. I suppose the screenshot posting "PS10N was booted" is a warning to others. Sorry again to be the bad example, it was completely unintentional and due to a typo. I'm sorry about that but not about the Agent Pace Country comment, that was funny. Don't hate me Rarebit, it was an accident, honest.)))

I don't know what the official logs say; I'd like to see them, please. I did not have my text log running during this event. The very few screens I got during the event don't show anything either way. These photos corroborate what I remember. (forgive the photo-quoting, I usually don't do it) The team I was with was fanning out to find Niobe. I was loaded as Doctor and ready to buff/heal her if only I could get a target lock. Running in to the intersection, a waypoint came up for Niobe and soon after I had her targeted. Checking her health to see which buff to apply first, I was alarmed to see that she was nearly dead. As I was switching to healing, Niobe fell over and my Res hotbuttons lit up. I hit the one that costs a lot of IS but completes quickly. Immediately an Agent attacked me. His free fire nearly took me out, and as he interlocked me I hardly had time to think before I was dead. I hit reconstruct impulsively, so I don't know what happened after that, but the second photo seems to show Niobe under attack from Skull086 (it seems she evaded that) while I bravely "hold off" the Agent by giving him a nice, convenient place to put all his bullets. I'm not saying I'm the one who resed her. Darminian is right there healing her at the same time. All I'm saying is, it's possible that it was me and nothing I know of contradicts that. Certainly it fits in with what I remember, and I'd like to see the official logs. Great work everyone! Zion/EPN teamwork certainly paid off this time and I was happy to be a part of it. Looking after Niobe is getting to be a full time job, but at least I get a lot of opportunities to fulfill my word to Morpheus (see PS10N/Niobe and PS10N/Morpheus private meetings on 5/20/2005.)

Congrats to the Zion shock troops and well done to the special ops team. That was some good work out there the other day, people. Special thanks to the Zion Liaisons and Ghost. It was an honor to be a part of this operation and to all those who stayed professional and focused, you deserve major credit.
