So, I'm on this RSI Capture bender.  I have all of the old RSI captures and all of the new RSI captures, except for:

1.  Executable

2.  Any Kunoichi.

The Kunoichi can wait too, I plan on having a box party in a couple weeks.  That leaves the Executable.  I do not have the desire nor available teammates required to farm that guy....

However,  Seeing as how I have in most cases more than one of most of the others, I propose the following:  I will trade a complete set of 66 different RSI Captures (the ones I have duplicates of) in exchange for one single RSI mask, the Executable RSI.

These Include:

- All 48 Neighborhood Boss RSI Captures

- All 8 Dungeon Boss RSI Captures (Zero, Moribel, Col. Strong, Watchman, Black Widow, Lupin, Mr. Jones, and The Gruesome)

- Plus 10 Others:  Ko, Captain Dernick, and all 8 Sleepwalker Bosses (McNeal, Meters, Osburn, Quimby, Bartle, Finch, Tucker & Walls).

So, save me some time and aggravation, help me complete my collection, and I'll save you a LOT of time farming these fellas individually!

Well, I finally conviced my best freind to try MxO for a month.  He just got a new Dell with Windows Vista, which is completely foreign to me.  Before he downloads the intallation file, are there any problems he can expect to face with Vista and if so are there any good workarounds?  Here are the stats:

This annoys me to no end.

OK I prep myself for battle by using, say, Kung Fu.  I enter interlock and for some incomprehensable reason it automatically defaults to self-defence attack method.  It reverts to kung fu once you start using specials, but still.  I've lost damage on that first hit.  Then I have to manually change the fecking thing to kung-fu as my default attack mode so it doesnt happen agian.  I mean, *CENSORED*?  Who uses self-defence??????  Once you hit that Kung-Fu button you should automatically have it set as your preferred attack method.  This has been going on for ages and I'm sick of it.

So I ran the launcher.  Update 59 hotfix began, hit a strange error (I didn't catch the error code).  Had me restart and run again with full system check.  I log in and get the follwing:

Authenticating...Failure.  Incompatible client version.  Please quit, restart, and retry with "Full System Check."  If problem persists, click on the Support button.

I do this and I still get kicked back to the Login prompt.

So, when I chick someones profile including my own I get basically nothing, just the standard DN1 black screen.  Is this a settings problem (I use IE7 and wonder if my security settings are too high or something?  Its always worked up until recently).  Or something else?  Anyone else having this problem?

I just finished watching "Ghosts Of Abu Gharib" on HBO....and what I saw truly shocked and sickened me.  I recommend all of you to see it.  It's basically an in-depth look at the systematic torture (and murders) of Iraqis at that infamous prison.  One thing I learned is that it was far from a "few bad apples."  It was systematic and ran to the highest levels of government.  The MPs there just happened to be less than discreet in their desire to take lots of pictures (for whatever reason).  Had they not been so photo-happy none of us would know about this stuff to this day.  Donald Rumsfeld and General Geoffrey Miller should be sent to the Hague immediately and prosecuted for War Crimes. 

I just want to reply to anyone who believes times are different so it's now okay to torture people. Times have been bad before but we never stooped as low as our enemies. We were the good guys. Our humane treatment of the Germans and Japanese inspired them to become strong democracies.

Plus, torture simply does not work.  The strong will resist and the weak will say anything to end the pain.  Don't let shows like "24" fool you.  It doesn't work and it makes the U.S. completely lose it's moral authority around the world.

I know Beta and Monolith-era players have kind of fought over bragging rights in the past; but I would say now that the SOE MxO era has hit the three year mark, can we agree that those of us who have been here the full three years are really all veterans?  And as such, I think it would be appropriate to reward our loyalty and commitment to this game with some type of vet reward.  I think they've handed them out in other SOE games, and I think it would be a nice gesture to us if we could get some type of clothing or anything to signify us sticking with MxO for so long.

Any thoughts?

So I was thinking, and I know this is jumping the gun, but early next year around February or March we will have completed Chapter 12, and then have new org clothing rewards for Chapters 9-12.  I'm looking forward to this, but I was thinking, for those who have the first two org items and then get the third org item, there should be an extra org reward for those who have gotten all three.  How this would work is, say, a Machinist gets System Shades, System Suit, and the third System Item, he can then go to the Machinist Collector and he can trade the three items for the three items back plus the special org item (modeled after the Archeologist model). 

I was also thinking, to maintain the exclusivity of the org item, in addition to requiring the three org clothes, you might have say a token to instance an org-based area (the org areas would be fine), so that you need a rep of 100 or more to go into the Chateau or wherever and collect a simple org token to complete the trade.

So to sum up, you trade your 3 org clothes + org token for the special org reward and your clothes back.  That way you cut down on org hoppers, you really have to prove your loyalty to get the item.

Also, I was thinking, for those intrepid souls who get all 9 org clothing items, you could trade all of those items for your items for your items back plus a perpetual token.

The perpetual token I proposed on this thread already for three-year SOE veterans; how that works is you trade any code item for a perpetual version of that code!

Anyways, I thought that would be pretty cool.

We may have won the war but we have lost the occupation.  There is nothing anyone can do about it.  There is no military solution.  There is absolutely no point to continue to waste blood and treasure in Iraq.  It is pointless, useless, and irrational.

Now that the archive rewards have been finalized, I was thinking a special meta-reward should be given to those intrepid souls who have either:  A) Completed all of their organization's archive missions, from 1.1 to 11.2;  and/or B) Completed all of the archive missions, from 1.1 to 11.2.

How this would work is, for those who have their first two org clothing items and then collect archive tokens for 9.1 through 11.2, there should be an extra org reward for those who have proven their loyalty to their organization by completing all of their org's archives.  How this would work is, say, a Machinist gets System Shades, System Suit, and the remaining 8 Archive tokens (9.1 to 11.2), he can then go to the Machinist Collector and he can trade all of those items for the two System clothes back plus the new special org item (kind of like the Archeologist model).

For those who have a real deep and thorough knowledge of the simulation, if you have aquired all 11 FX rewards, you should be able to trade them in for all of your FX rewards back plus a special "Deep Insight" reward!  I'm thinking definately a perpetual item, either one of any existing FX's made permanent, of your choosing; or a new perpetual (red flame/code anyone???)

Since these are finite I think it would be a good reward to those who have taken the time and effort required to immerse themselves into the MxO storyline, for your organization, or in an even broader sense.

Edit:  See post below for a super-quick implementable modification in light of new changes!

If MxO is now permanantly D.I.Y. with no more content then might as well unlock the masks, maybe starting with the patch that removes the Anniversary event in early April.

Edit:  We can always relock them if by some miracle we get a dev and we resume content.  I think this would be a nice way to reward us with our patience for sticking through the hard times in the meantime.
