Comedy Central is going back to the Futurama.

Three years after the show last aired on prime time, the cable net has signed a deal to resurrect the former Fox animated series for a minimum 13-episode run.

Comedy Central will start airing the new shows in 2008.

"We are thrilled that Matt Groening and 20th Century Fox Television have decided to produce new episodes of Futurama and that Comedy Central will be the first to air them," said David Bernath, the cable net's senior VP. The new episode order is part of a larger deal Comedy Central made with the production company last year, when they bought the syndicated rights to Futurama's 72-episode library.

"There is a deep and passionate fan base for this intelligent and very funny show that matches perfectly with our audience, and it is great that we can offer them not just the existing library but something they've never seen as well," Bernath told the Hollywood Reporter.

In August 2003, after five seasons and three Emmys, including the 2002 award for Best Animated Series, Futurama was canceled due to low ratings.

Reruns of the show, however, were picked up by Cartoon Network, and just like cable home did with Family Guy before it, the move paved the way for a Futurama revival.

Both shows aired on the Cartoon Network and quickly built up unexpectedly robust ratings.

In 2004, Stewie & Co. were resuscitated by to Fox thanks to staggering DVD sales--the show ranks as the fourth-biggest TV series seller ever--and its proliferation in reruns.

In January of this year, 20th Century Fox began talks with Comedy Central to revive the long-gone Futurama as well, thanks to its resurgence in popularity courtesy of its second life in reruns and high--though not Family Guy high--DVD sales.

The cable net has already re-signed voice stars Billy West, Katey Sagal and John DiMaggio to reprise their animated roles.

In the meantime, new Futurama plots can already be had in comic book form, with Groening's Bongo Comics releasing the stories

The Fox network's espionage thriller "24" led the field of Emmy Award series contenders on Thursday with 12 nominations for U.S. television's highest honors, including a bid for best drama.

Newly departed NBC hit "Will & Grace," which just ended its run this past season, was the most nominated sitcom, gaining recognition in 10 categories, including the race for best comedy series.

Suspense drama "24" and "Grey's Anatomy," the hit medical drama that focuses as much on its interns' love lives as medicine, were among the top nominees announced Thursday for the Emmy Awards.

The leading nominee, with 16 nominations, was the miniseries "Into the West."

In a major reversal from last year's awards, neither "Lost" or "Desperate Housewives" received best-series bids.

"24" led all series with 12 nominations, followed by "Grey's Anatomy" with 11. Both received best drama series bids and were joined in the category by "House," "The Sopranos" and "The West Wing."

The comedy series nominees were "Arrested Development," "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "The Office," "Scrubs" and "Two and a Half Men."

"Desperate Housewives," which lost its status as critical darling in its sophomore season although it held its ratings, wasn't nominated in the comedy category it won last year. "Lost" met the same fate, missing out on a best-drama bid although it won the honor in 2005.

For "24," Kiefer Sutherland received a best-actor bid. Among the "Grey's Anatomy" stars recognized were Golden Globe winner Sandra Oh and Chandra Wilson. The show was shut out of the best-actress and actor categories.

Other best-actor nominations went to Peter Krause of "Six Feet Under," Denis Leary of "Rescue Me," Christopher Meloni of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and Martin Sheen of "The West Wing."

Three best-actress bids went to stars of shows that have left the air: Frances Conroy of "Six Feet Under," Geena Davis of "Commander in Chief" and Allison Janney of "The West Wing." Other nominees were Mariska Hargitay of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" and Kyra Sedgwick of "The Closer."

The aquaman tv series which was created in the vein of Smallville will not make it to network TV. The CW network decided not to pick up the series and the only way to now see the pilot is to go to itunes.

According to a few websites they are going to or already have cast Heath Ledger in the role of the joker. They also say there will be multiple villians in the film.

"From what I've heard about the direction of the film expect The Joker to be very creepy and very extreme," a trusted source for BoF advised the site, claiming that Ledger's Clown Prince will be totally unlike Jack Nicholson's portrayal in the 1989 film.

I need some variety to my life

I know alot of people don't like it since revamps etc but I have never played so I don't know how it use to be so I think it will be ok.

What server are people on? And can you be a bad guy I want to be evil Midnight in this game.

I had played COH for awhile a few monthes back and it was fun, I just lost interest cuz I found myself alone most of the time, but I was craving some new excitement in MMOS. So I went back to try COV.  I will tell you this story really quick that I posted on another board about getting COV.

So here I was shopping at circuit city this afternoon and I wander off to the PC secton right, there was all these games and MMOS, then I see out of the corner of my eye this gigantic red box that says' City of Villians. I'm like why the hell is this box so frigging big for on little disk? Turns out it was a super deluxe limited edition version with so much cool stuff packed inside I had to have it.

So I looked the price it say's 19.99! Wow can' beat that right? To make it even better they had a sale buy one get one free, so I found a 6 pack of the Sims games for the same price and took them to the counter to buy.
The cashier rang them up and said they made a mistake on COV it was actually 40 dollars! But because it was marked for 20 they had to give it to me!! So I got 2 great games for 20 bucks, well actually 7 since the Sims had 6 seperate games in one big box.

This COV I have all these figurines, a Book on the drawing of the heros, free trials to other games, a magic the gathering style card game, a DVD of COV, and the coolest thing is that bad *CENSORED* black cape with the red insigna on the back that you can't get anywhere else!!

End of Story

Now I'm only level 4 but I really like COV its alot of fun and man the Character Creation NOTHING beats it, I have NO idea why other MMOS dont take the time as they did on the character selection.

Anyway here's some screen shots of my character and her evilness. Check out the skulls on her belt and shoulder pads!

Yep, it's coming folks. not for awhile but its coming.
