Definitely Sith. I doubt there'll be more Sith than Jedi, or other good guys. I've yet to see a game where evil outnumbers the good.

Aww Cail You have to fix whatever is necessary to get back in to MXO. It won't be the same if I don't catch you online again at the end. Thanks for the fun, the RP and all the help the last few years, you've been a great friend One of the best memories I have are the times I roleplayed with you and the Brotherhood of the Wolf/The WolfPack.

Hey now!
Boring people to death is just another method to kill. Eh... <_< I'm curious which meeting it was though. Oh, and thanks for posting all of this Harpalos, very fun to read back what you've been doing. You're truly one of the best liaisons that MXO had.

I have to agree..banned characters should not be listed....if they are banned from taking part in the game, they should also not be allowed recognition on the leaderboards.
Nonsense. They are on the leaderboard simply because Rarebit doesn't know who exactly is banned. And checking the account status' of 300 players is a no-go. Be glad this feature is available to players, don't critisize it too much.

Iv been with the game for 5 years now and its more of an off again on again relationship I have with it. Due to certian circumstances financialy I have to cancel my sub and a few other things to save some cash for the next few months. My sub runs out on the 7th. I will be back when I can, if something comes up were I can come back sooner I will try. It was good seeing all you again in game and trying to get the new content that was missed the past couple of years squeezed into a few weeks.
You kbnow I actually do remember that Beta POW article I think you were the first non-FA to get one of those
Come to think of it, if I didnt help start Fallen Horizon I might have joined up with FA. I can not remember which faction Sundog was part of though, god its been half a decade.
Sundog was with the Royal Guard. Veseveus put the one and only fanzine online...otherwise I would've never known.

Yeah, Black Code's good people too. Also, you might want to look up our organizational contact on Syntax, Harkee. She could direct you towards other factions as well.
Awesome, thank you all for the replies, I know this game got hit hard with people leaving but I'm glad there is a friendly and strong community presence, I think MxO is highly under rated, I've been having a blast since I returned.
The warm replies just make it better, I think I'm going to get to grips with the story and try to mingle at the social spots before I choose a faction to dedicate myself to. Thanks again
I should note, Operative, that the Merovvingian org is the most fun with the least drama. Plus, we have pale death bishes, Club full of death bishes, and Cake we get a orga...qlimax without the need of a partner or even touching ourselves
No organisation operates more freely than the Cypherites.

Another tip: I wouldn't pick an organisation to join simply because I have less reputation to grind. Each organisation has their own ideals and beliefs, and perhaps you'll find out eventually that the choice you made now by joining Zion wasn't the right one. I can tell you from my own expierence that there's nothing to enjoy about grinding reputation again. For a good while, to join a crew you just had to have 0 points of reputation with any organisation to join a crew of any organisation. Time has changed and today you need 0 points with the organisation you'd like to join. This means that if you want to switch to another organisation you have to run 127 missions just to join a crew. And that's not it, the latest critical missions require (at level 50) 60 reputation points. Thus, if you'd like to switch you probably have to run close or over 200 missions! The higher your reputation is, the lower the chance is to get a reputation point. So choose wisely.
Wowzerz, now I don't know what to choose @_@ I heard the Cypherites are a great organisation.
Think I'll make 2 more characters and play them all

Vesirious wrote: Hello MxO, and happy new year , I played MxO in 2005, I recently returned and just had some questions mainly about the community. I remember MxO had some cool radio stations when I played, but for the life of me I have no idea where these where, are they still around? Some hardlines where very popular hang outs in 05, but since returning I haven't seen much life, are there still some designated hang outs? I was never in a group or clan or guild back in 05, but are there any MxO groups around? I got my characters back and I'm playing Vesirious at the moment, still trying to get to grips with everything, not sure whether there is a particular story line to follow or specific contact so it'll be some weeks before I'm back on track, but if anyone could answer the above I would greatly appreciate it. Regards, ~Vesirious
Happy new year. I think Exile radio and Catzi's are the only stations playing. I don't have much info about the radio stations because I stopped listening when Radio Free Zion changed their name. Mara C is the most populated hardline. The game has lost a lot of subscribers though so don't expect to see it be as packed as it was in 2005. To join a clan, guild or the prefered term Faction, I'd suggest checking out the recruiting forum of the server you have your character. Each organisation has their own Archivist. Zion's closest to the Moriah East hardline. Merv's closest to the Apollyon NW hardline. Machines to the Midian East hardline. Look for a book icon on your map to find the Archivist's store. Inside you can buy mission tickets that will launch the missions of the previous chapters. These will bring you back on track with the story. By completing the missions you will recieve tokens which you can trade at the respective organisation Collecters for all sorts of items and effects for your RSI. Good luck.

I'd love to see series that take the events from MXO as canon but I doubt it'll interest the rest of the world. So by a marketing point of view I'd go with series set way before Morpheus was even born. Perhaps just after the end of the second renaissance and the launch of the first iteration of the Matrix, and continue from there. Man, if I had the money I'd get the brothers W to write 20 episodes for each iteration till the 6th and end each iteration with a movie (or trilogy), for the epicness. That'd be 5 movies and 100 episodes of pure Matrixism. All accompanied by new Animatrix and a new MMO to go with the series, set in the same era. Yeah, that'd be nice. =) I'll stop daydreaming now.

I had a very aggressive style through the whole game so the first city was a military one. Eventually, the last remaining city surrendered. They were the second biggest, having two cities. They were no match for my army of planes though. I destroyed cities in a few seconds, haha. =D I'm thinking of beginning again from scratch. I enjoyed seeing the evolution of my creature on a timeline. The Cypherites who stayed with their organisation after the revelation are pretty noble. They keep protecting the bluepills even though they can never return to them. Sacrificing their lives for people who'll never know about their guardian angels. I guess that's the only purpose left, which I find a more noble one than all other org's purposes.
That's where it all comes down to I think, Cyphs choose bluepills over the system. Machinists preserve the system and choose them above the bluepills. Pretty simple.
Wixard explains it well. I have nothing to add.
Although I was thinking of joking: Our purpose is to misguide you from our purpose.
But that's lame.
=P
Still wish reinsertion would be an option. It'd give the org a lot more depth.
