I am of the stong opinion that the smaller earpiece launchers for lower
levels (and the collector's crow launcher) should be the visual
appearance for the higher leveled program launchers, and vice versa, so
the green bus face launchers are exclusively reserved for lower levels.

Here are points I'd like to bring up with this issue:

The Matrix Look and Feel

While there were never any program launchers inside the matrix movies,
big or small, the gigantic green visors don't seem to incorporate into
the entire asiatic/gothic setting that the movies seemed most focused
on. We've got yoshi street shirts, prophet dusters, then...bus face?
what?

Pure Asthetics

As badly as I spelled the word, you have to agree that the earpieces look much more slick then the bulky launchers. How do those things even stick to your face, anyhoo?

Technology

Okay, if we wanted to do this right, you'd have the big launchers
first, then work your way up to the smaller ones. Just look at
the real world. Recently, cell phones have gotten smaller...and
smaller...and smaller. If cell phones worked
like the launchers in mxo, we'd be lugging around gigantic,
radiation-emitting 1980's style bricks of cell phones.

Length of usage

When you get the level 5 launcher at, uh, level 5, it's sort of like "oh cool! too bad I lose it in 10 levels! :smileysad:" So why can't we trade it out so we can use the better launchers for longer?

In conclusion, the smaller launchers look sleeker and more matrix-like,
and to swap two different objects should be no real problem...assuming many people want there to be change.

I did an unbiased research as to which server would prevail in the upcoming pvp wars on the QA server. I monitored each of the three servers' PVP capacity, knowledge, the skill of thier best fighters, their best fighter's loadouts, startegies, and overall espirit de corps. In conclusion, I have discovered which server, out of Syntax, Recursion, and Vector, would reign supreme and dominate the other two combatants. And the winner is:

...whichever server figures out how to use the new, completley foreign combat system before the other two do.

The 1-5 star rating system has been abused several times, and while it obviously does not affect a character's status, it's still rather disheartening to see someone's story/post get a poor rating just because of an ooc grudge gone too far. After all, the star ratings, after gaining a reputation for being used to settle ooc conflicts with regular abuse, are still held very highly by at least 99% of the forums.

Therefore, can we please just ignore the star system altogether?

Option 1. Raise the VD cap to 440.

Option 2. Raise the amount of VD given by awakened per level to 8.

Option 3. Make VT rolls like Knife thrower rolls, and VD rolls like DR rolls.

I like option 1 more, because then hackers can still target people that don't load max VD, but I want to know what everyone else thinks about this topic. Also, add in ways you think hackers can be better balanced in pvp.

It has been common knowledge that SOE is not going to be doing live events any time in the near decade. It has also been common knowledge that many people would like to see the Live Events Team return (see this thread: http://mxoboards.station.sony.com/matrix/board/message?board.id=generalrecursion&message.id=2346)

So why won't SOE give us live events? Too busy fixing other stuff? I haven't seen many patches made lately. Would hiring the actors cost too much? Orien from the Furious Angels has stated many times that they would do the job for free, and I'm sure they're not alone. So, the question:

Would you be a Live Events Team Member for no payment?
