Like the topic says..I'm back..for now I was looking at some old old screenshots on my photobucket account from some of the first few months of the game being out and I missed the PVP in this game. I've decided to reactivate for this month...maybe play a couple times here and there You can find me on xfire as QforQ and if I'm not in MxO..I'll probably be playing Age of Conan on the Cimmeria server as "Matarax". Good to see you all..hoping to get in some awesome PVP in MxO!

Hello! Ive seen many topics about this and it's finally my turn to ask the question! How do I get around my college firewall? I'm not even trying to do anything bad, the most important ports I want to have opened are port 21 for my email and port 6667 for IRC. Those are the two I've noticed so far, most importantly is my email though since I cant download any of my new mail using Thunderbird. Is there anything I can do? Can you guys give me any suggestions/tips/instructions on what to do? Thanks a lot!

Today I received a new email from SOE: Did you miss out on some of the early action in The Matrix Online story? With Update 45, redpills get the opportunity to relive the action from Chapter 1 through Chapter 4. The Archivists have unveiled keys that reopen all Organization critical missions. These missions have no effect on player reputation, so you can even play through the missions for the Organizations you don’t work for! Jack in now to find out more about the missions. There are rewards for each Organization’s critical missions, with smaller rewards for completing Chapters and big payoffs for finishing all missions through Chapter 4. Are you up to the challenge? Jack in after Update 45 releases in July or find out more about the missions and rewards on our web site. Join the only game that takes you inside the world of The Matrix Online. Jack in.

I was surfing the web and stumbled upon some sort of MMO Magazine called Massive Online Gamer. To my shigrin, they had a link in their "New Downloads" section to The Matrix Online Trial. I clicked it and went to the get a key link and it brought up this page, the same as the one before. But this time it doesnt say that the trial is over. Looks like they have more keys!

This has been a bug that happens every other patch since live it seems like..atleast I've always had this bug off and on.
I'd like the ability to overlap or have your mission window(N)
and the map(M) windows open at the same time. Since the latest
patch I'm not able to have both of them open at the same time. If I
press M the mission windows close and vice versa. It's very
annoying.

I thought I'd ask those that are much smarter than myself about
something that has confused me for awhile. Awhile back there was
a bit of a debate about what are the proper settings for your pagefile.
Some said you should disable it if you have over a certain amount of
RAM, others said you should always have it.
So I ask you, what should I do?
I have a 10k RPM Raptor drive that I have MxO and Windows on(and pagefile on)
I have 2GB of Dual Channel RAM
Should I axe it? Tone it down? What to do?

You've seen them in other MMO's... You've heard about them in other MMO's from your friends...
I think it's time MxO get the lovin' it rightfully deserves!
Many MMO's have a lot of their content based around what in MxO are called Exile Hideouts and/or Constructs. Like in MxO you find tons of NPCs that you have to fight on your way to the Uber Boss NPC at the end of the construct/hideout that usually carries some sort of coveted item.
Since the implementation of CR2 it's allowed the developers to create NPCs that would require teams(parties) of people to take down, but we have not seen such a thing ingame yet. I think it would really add a lot to this game if the developers would spend time finishing previously completed instances, fleshing them out with NPCs, some sort of Uber-Uber(that's really uber) boss and some great loot.
To me I think this would help out MxO so much if it could create some great high-level content in the form of more constructs/hideouts. Games like World of Warcraft base most of their high level content on such things, complete with instances that feature Capture the Flag, defending bases, and many other instance based things. But that's for another Development Roundtable post
Give me your feedback guys on what you think MxO could add. I was thinking constructs featuring stuff like the huge fly monsters or something, or some hardcore Exile, etc.

On Tuesday I went to see Angels and Airwaves, the band created by formed Blink-182 guitarist/singer Tom Delonge. It's a great band if you haven't checked em out. They are all about writing music that will make you feel good because, as they say(and I agree)music and things in general are too negative these days. As the guitarist said to me when I talked to him after the show, "Human beings aren't meant to be this miserable".
The show consisted of The Subways, Head Automatica, Angels and Airwaves, and ended with Taking Back Sunday. I got there pretty earlier in the afternoon to stand in line. When we got there we saw Tom Delonge walking around in the band parking lot which was exciting, and later saw the whole band take a run around the block. If you haven't checked out The Subways I suggest you do. They are a young 3 piece punk/rock band from England. Very high energy and they put on a good show. Nice people too, I got the autograph from the girl that's their bassist/singer and their drummer signed their CD for me too. Head Automatica was okay. I've never heard of them before, but a lot of chicks screamed for em so they seemed to like them. Angels and Airwaves was really good. I've been a huge Blink 182 fan for the past 7 or so years so when they broke up I was a bit upset, but when I heard Tom started AVA I was really excited. Their record is really good and I suggest you check it out. It's like if Blink 182 made another record after their last one, combined with a bit of U2 type influence. I love it, can't stop listening to it. They played pretty much all their songs from their CD except for "A little's Enough" if I recall correctly. All their songs were very well done, Tom even played "Down", one of Blink's singles of their last record. He and Dave(Guitarist of AVA and also Box Car Racer) also played "There Is" by Box Car Racer, the band they had acouple years back. It started raining during their set, which was very fitting since acouple of their songs(AVA's songs) reference rain in them. Taking Back Sunday put on a very highly energetic show and their frontman just goes all over the stage. They played for what seemed quite a well, but they may have just seemed that way since I dont know all their songs by heart After the show two of my friends and I went and hung out around the bus entrance in hopes of catching some of the band members. First we caught Dave Kennedy, guitarist of Angels and Airwaves. He talked to me for like 10 minutes or something, a very very nice down to earth guy. Awesome to see that side of some of your favorite rock stars. Here's a pic of him and I (he's behind the fence hehe) After we talked to him for quite a while, eventually Tom Delonge came out along with the rest of the band. Instantly Tom got swarmed by people asking for his autograph. Meanwhile I talked to their Bassist Ryan Sinn a bit, and got Atom's autograph. By the time I made my way to Tom he started to run off and I didn't catch him It's all good though since I got to see him up close and not on a stage for once And the fact that I got to talk to Dave pretty much one on one Anyways, hope you guys dont mind the spam. I had a lot of fun last night so I thought i'd share the fun and hopefully get you guys to check out some bands that you've never heard of or heard. Cheers, QforQ

Since we're getting tons of new trialers I thought I'd make a thread here, in hopes of some of em seeing this.
When ingame and here on the forums, a lot of the new players are asking
how combat works because the tutorial doesn't completely explain it to
you. I wanted to point out a very good source for information on
how combat works.
Back in March Walrus made a very good CR2(Combat) explanation for us, and Radio Megacity made a very handy PDF.
Hope that helps.

Alrighty well I loaded up all to ballista and I loaded up the debuffs all the way through the 2nd to last tier of Despoiler. I went to creston heights(all the blue NPCs right around the exile hideout entrance..like that grassy park area).
Whenever I attacked using logic barrage 3 or logic blast 2.0 I would instantly kill the NPCs...doing over 1,000 damage. Whenever I interlocked the NPCs...the first attack, the one when you interlock them and shoot them when they fall on the ground...killed them instantly. The NPCs did hardly any damage at all to me with their guns(about 20-40dmg per hit) so I was affectively invincible while there.
Not sure if this is known..but I know they want hacker to be tested bad so meh : /

Dear Syntax instance players of MxO,
Exile Radio Network would like to announce that it is accepting applications for a variety of jobs and positions at the online radio station dedicated to The Matrix Online community. At Exile Radio Network we strive to provide one of the best radio experiences around. We here at XRN run the station for the love of DJing and the love of The Matrix Online community. We’ve been here for close to a year now, and we’re now the longest standing fan MxO radio station. XRN believes that it has something very unique, and with your help we can become even better. Exile Radio Network is currently looking to fill the following positions with mature individuals: -Radio DJ- Radio DJ’s are needed for all servers, and we are especially looking for DJ’s from Syntax and Recursion(that doesn’t exclude Vector mind you). DJ’s from all time zones are needed and we have a very flexible DJ schedule that will be able to fit your needs. - Must be familiar with shoutcast and using SAM Broadcaster or Winamp as your broadcasting tool
- Be willing to DJ on any server(for special events, parties, etc)
- 18 years old
- Active account for MxO
DJ’s will need to submit an application and will need to pass a live tryout.
There are many other positions that XRN is actively seeking to fill, but in order to save space I'll direct you here for the complete listing.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to voice them with a member of Exile Radio Network on our website.
Sincerely, Exile Radio Network
